Yang Ming and the others rode the two colossal scorpion beasts, the Earth King and the Pink Madam, out of Sunset Forest. They found checkpoints set up along the road, where City Guard soldiers from Heaven Dou City were checking the identities of passing travelers.

Compared to when Prince Xue Beng had just died, the City Guard's inspections were no longer so strict. They even allowed people from Sunset Forest to leave. After Dean Flender led everyone in filling out their identity information, the City Guard let them pass.
