Spirit Hall receives Bibi Dong upon her return from Killing City, when she is still the Holy Maiden. Although its personnel treat her with formal deference, senior figures initially dismiss the infant Bibi Xu as an insignificant foundling and potential comfort for her loneliness 2.

Bibi Dong establishes Bibi Xu’s protected position within the institution by violently suppressing Red-robed Cardinals who demand that she abandon him. Thereafter, insults or threats against him carry the risk of death or expulsion 3.

Following Pope Qian Xunji’s death, Spirit Hall publicly attributes the fatal injuries to Tang Hao and brands him a wanted criminal. The declaration prompts the Clear Sky Sect to seal itself and intensifies maneuvering by the two great empires 37.

Qian Daoliu appoints Bibi Dong as the new Pope to prevent internal collapse, citing her status, strength, Twin Martial Souls, and Rakshasa God Trial. He intends for her to stabilize the organization while preparing Qian Renxue to eventually reclaim leadership for the Qian clan; Bibi Dong accepts while planning to retain power permanently 37.
