Background / History

Bibi Xu appeared as an abandoned infant outside Killing City shortly after Bibi Dong completed Hell Road. She found him freezing among the rocks, took him into her arms, and named him after herself and the rising sun; he immediately accepted the name by grasping her finger and smiling. Bibi Dong formally declared herself his mother and vowed that no one would bully him. 1 2

His origin could not be traced by Spirit Hall’s investigation. In truth, Xu retains memories from a previous life as a university student who had read the original Douluo Continent story before transmigrating into the body of Bibi Dong’s adopted son. 3 4

Bibi Dong’s unconditional care transformed his view of her from a tragic fictional figure into his genuine mother.
