A few days later, Uchiha You walked out of his room looking utterly drained. This period of cramming had made him question his life.

Along with the suffering came endless knowledge. Through studying vast amounts of medical knowledge, Uchiha You's Medical Ninjutsu had improved significantly, and the field hospital had no shortage of patients.

Compared to ordinary medical ninjas, Uchiha You's healing speed was noticeably faster. It depended on his chakra control and the ever-increasing Yang Release Chakra within his body.

Fortunately, he had already mastered the Healing Technique. Otherwise, after a single round of treatment, all the wounded on Konoha's front lines would have become fatalities.

Hyuga Reiko was protected by a group of branch family members. As a sensory ninja, her only role was to patrol the rear and prevent spies from slipping through the front-line defenses.

Although Orochimaru had a talent for leadership, the truly terrifying part of the Second Shinobi World War was in the Land of Lightning and the Land of Earth. That was the real meat grinder.

The current conflict between Hidden Rain Village and Sand Village was different. Knowing that Konoha and Sand Village were allied, they certainly would not take the initiative to provoke them.

"I can't leave for the time being."

Hyuga Reiko craned her head to look inside and found quite a few patients being carried into different rooms.

"I heard about it. You suggested reforms to Lady Tsunade, and she eventually agreed. Without your proposal, many people would have died in this war."

The ninjas stationed in the rear had more or less heard Uchiha You's name. Despite his young age, he had already surpassed many medical ninjas in Medical Ninjutsu. Some even believed that his future achievements would certainly rival Tsunade's.

Even if he was an Uchiha clan member, no one would willingly make an enemy of a medical ninja. How could anyone avoid getting injured on the battlefield? If they ended up in a medical ninja's hands after holding a grudge, what if that ninja accidentally got them killed?

While the two were chatting, Uchiha You suddenly saw an ANBU member rushing toward Orochimaru's residence.

Before long, troubling news spread through the camp.

"The front commanded by Lord Nara has encountered a large number of allied ninjas."

"The war is coming."

Their target in taking the initiative to engage was Konoha! In order to seize more territory, they had prepared a whole series of plans from the very beginning.

At the same time, another piece of bad news spread through the camp.

"People from Hidden Mist Village have arrived near Hidden Rain Village. They've begun attacking the front lines!"

"Quick! We need tourniquets here! Get people to prepare tourniquets!"

"Cut his clothes open! Rinse it with cool water! Be careful not to worsen the wound!"

"You lot, hurry up and carry the patient over here!"

"Lord You! We have an emergency patient here!"

A large number of wounded were carried into the hospital. Fortunately, they had followed Uchiha You's suggestion and implemented a triage system, while also expanding the rear hospital's capacity. That was the only reason the hospital system did not collapse.

Even so, the sheer number of patients placed enormous pressure on them.

The ninja lying on the bed stared blankly at Uchiha You. At Konoha Hospital, no one dared treat him like a child. Uchiha You's abilities were outstanding; the patients in his care had a zero mortality rate, even surpassing Tsunade.

You nodded lightly in affirmation, then instructed the nurse waiting nearby, "Take him away. Begin the next operation."

He treated injuries caused by kunai. Such wounds required extremely precise chakra control, especially for the ninjas brought to the operating table. Every one of them was hanging by a thread and could die before him at any second.

Therefore, Uchiha You operated very quickly, all to reduce the risk of death.

Like an emotionless machine, he treated patients one after another.

Once the war began, there was no room to rest. Uchiha You often spent several days straight in the hospital, and in the end, people had to support him as he left.

Today, just as he was preparing to continue treating patients, a ninja appeared before him in a Body Flicker.

"Nawaki?"

He had not seen Nawaki for over half a month. Nawaki had been serving as Orochimaru's messenger, traveling between Konoha and the camp.

"I never thought that after just one month, the entire hospital would be talking about you. When will I ever achieve what you have now?"

It was impossible not to envy him. You had inherited his sister's Medical Ninjutsu and had already achieved so much.

He seemed less like a member of the Uchiha Clan and more like someone from the Senju Clan.

Could he be mixed-blood?

You stared at Nawaki's dazed expression and sensed that he was thinking something strange. He raised a hand and smacked Nawaki on the head, saying helplessly, "Why did you, Teacher Orochimaru's messenger, come to the hospital? Did you come specifically to find me, or has something major happened?"

Only after being asked did Nawaki remember that he had come to the hospital because there was something Uchiha You needed to handle. He immediately relayed Orochimaru's order.

"Ah, Teacher Orochimaru said there's something that needs to be dealt with. He wants you to come over."

"Something? All right."

Anything that required Uchiha You to go personally was certainly not good news.

Following Nawaki to Orochimaru's office, You saw the Legendary Sannin gathered together. His arrival did not interrupt their argument.

In front of the others, Tsunade was arguing with Orochimaru over a matter concerning Uchiha You.

"Orochimaru! I don't agree with this. You plays a crucial role in Konoha's medical care. During this time, the number of patients he has treated is no less than mine!"

"Precisely because his Medical Ninjutsu is excellent and his own strength is not lacking. Don't I know my own disciple?"

"When I first took him on, You was already at Chunin level. He is only stronger now!"

It was rare to see Orochimaru angry. His words carried an unquestionable tone, leaving Jiraiya, who had originally wanted to mediate, unable to speak. He knew that during wartime, obedience came first.

Even though Tsunade held a high status and was a medical ninja, Orochimaru was the commander of Konoha's army.

"Teacher Orochimaru, Lady Tsunade."

His words happened to draw Jiraiya's attention. Jiraiya immediately came over, pushed him before the two of them, and said, "The person concerned is here. Shouldn't You be the one to decide something like this?"
