Background / History

Qin Wan arrived at the Shang camp with the other Nine Heavenly Lords after Wen Zhong requested aid against the Elucidation Sect. Lin Yuan’s Fate-Reversal Inheritance immediately identified all ten arrivals, including Qin Wan, as cultivators fated to meet fatal calamities. 19 20

As the Heaven-Absolute Formation’s master, Qin Wan helped establish the Ten Ultimate Formation outside the Shang camp. When Lin Yuan pointed out that ten isolated formations could be broken one at a time, Qin Wan seriously reconsidered the structure and agreed to test whether the formations could assist one another. 20 21

The first attempts to transfer Earth Inferno Formation power into the Heaven-Absolute Formation failed explosively. After repeated testing, Qin Wan, Zhao Jiang, Golden Light Holy Mother, and the other Heavenly Lords developed a talisman-based conversion method that allowed compatible Supreme Clarity power to be transferred between formations. Qin Wan confirmed the first successful transfer and proposed expanding the system across all ten formations. 21

During the linked formation’s early battles, Qin Wan used support from the other nine formations to reinforce the Heaven-Absolute Formation, conceal its weaknesses, and introduce unexpected elemental attacks such as earthfire and wind into its lightning-based killing array. 22 23

An Elucidation Sect second-generation disciple later exploited the linked formations’ central transfer route to target Qin Wan himself. Lin Yuan identified the true killing move, ordered the supporting formations disconnected, and rerouted their power behind Qin Wan, allowing him to escape as the Heaven-Absolute Formation’s core was destroyed. The system confirmed that Qin Wan’s predetermined death trajectory had been severed. 24

After surviving, Qin Wan immediately supported Lin Yuan’s redesigns of the Ten Ultimate Formation. These revisions added direct side routes, conversion patterns, movable formation eyes, and temporary position-shifting methods that prevented formation masters from being trapped at fixed core positions. 25 26

When the Twelve Golden Immortals mounted a coordinated attack, Qin Wan entrusted Lin Yuan with central control of the Ten Ultimate Linked Formation. When Xiao Sheng and Cao Bao attempted to take one of Zhao Gongming’s Sea-Calming Pearls with the Treasure-Dropping Coin, Lin Yuan called on Qin Wan for support. Qin Wan erected a temporary trapping formation that delayed Cao Bao, helping Lin Yuan disrupt Xiao Sheng’s control of the coin and Zhao Gongming recover his pearl. 33

After Yao Bin’s formation traced Lu Ya’s curse, Qin Wan deployed the Heaven-Absolute Formation with the other Heavenly Lords to block Lu Ya’s escape from his altar. When Lu Ya began forcing his way through their formations with Daluo-level fire, Lin Yuan ordered the group to withdraw rather than contest his power directly. 37

Qin Wan observed the Three Cloud Sisters’ Nine-Twist Yellow River Formation alongside Lin Yuan and the other Heavenly Lords. Following Tongtian’s intervention in their confrontation with Yuanshi, Tongtian ordered the Ten Heavenly Lords to leave the battlefield: their linked formation had been exposed, and further preparation was more valuable than continued deployment. 40 41 47

Back on Golden Turtle Island, Qin Wan helped turn Lin Yuan’s proposal for a sect-wide Life Lamp system into an automatic warning formation.
