Background

Summoning and Divine Sect founding

Long Xiao summoned Qian Daoliu alongside Gu Rong, Bo Saixi, and Bibi Dong. Qian Daoliu was initially bewildered by the new world, but became overjoyed on seeing Bo Saixi again and immediately viewed the Mystic Heaven Continent as an opportunity for them to surpass their former limits together. Long Xiao subsequently raised his loyalty to its maximum, making him acknowledge Long Xiao as his master. 2

He joined the assault on Black Mountain Stronghold in an effort to impress both Long Xiao and Bo Saixi. Pursuing the fleeing stronghold leader, Qian Daoliu beheaded the sixth-layer Diegang Realm bandit with a single strike of his Holy Sword. 3

After the stronghold became the Divine Sect's foundation, Long Xiao assigned Qian Daoliu and Chen Xin to hire workers and renovate the sect gate. Qian Daoliu objected to being housed away from Bo Saixi, but yielded when Bibi Dong invoked the Sect Master's authority. 4

Forgetfulness Pill

Bo Saixi administered Long Xiao's Forgetfulness Pill to Qian Daoliu in wine. The pill erased his romantic fixation on her, restored some of his youth and vitality, and left him focused on cultivation, longevity, and service to the Divine Sect. Qian Daoliu interpreted the change as a fortuitous opportunity rather than realizing what had happened. 5

Service to the sect

Qian Daoliu was repeatedly assigned ordinary work despite his status. He worked on the Divine Sect's construction, later accepted bounty tasks in Azure City, and eliminated a bandit group while completing them. His labor and good deeds generated Summoning Points for Long Xiao. 19 23 24

When Qian Renxue was summoned, Qian Daoliu immediately sought Long Xiao's permission to explain the situation to his granddaughter and protect her from punishment. 21 He later assisted Long Xiao and Qian Renxue in a staged injury performance that pressured Du Ziteng into paying compensation. 41

By the time Hong Chan visited the sect, Qian Daoliu had abandoned his former devotion to the Angel God and regarded Long Xiao as his faith. 33 He was later assigned, with Gu Rong and Chen Xin, to complete six hundred missions within five days. 46

Appearance

Qian Daoliu is an elderly but imposing man with white hair, a white beard, and a body described as shining with holy light. He carries himself with a conspicuous fringe over his forehead and frequently wears white robes. 2 3 29

Personality

Before the Forgetfulness Pill, Qian Daoliu was openly infatuated with Bo Saixi. He eagerly tried to distinguish himself in battle so that neither she nor Long Xiao would look down on him, and he was visibly disappointed when ordered to live away from her. 2 3 4

After the pill removed that fixation, he became cheerful, energetic, and focused on securing a future in the Mystic Heaven Continent. He remains proud of his strength, prone to dramatic declarations, and eager to compete with Gu Rong and Chen Xin for recognition. 5 19 46

His loyalty to Long Xiao is absolute. He accepts construction work, bounty missions, and good-deed assignments without complaint when they serve the Divine Sect, while still retaining a theatrical streak that he uses in the sect's schemes. 23 24 33 41
