On the giant screen showing the cavern, Snow Old Dog sat on a Dark Unicorn's corpse and gave quiet orders. "Nobody attacks for the next ten minutes.

"Watch Dervis's and Luka's attendants. Don't worry about the other two. They've got other targets."

"He wasn't stupid. That artifact alone would have been enough to finance his escape," Shar said bluntly. "What the Habel Family paid was enough for one of Mask's followers to risk delivering a crystal ball. Actually killing someone? Not a chance."

"Huh?" Selûne made an odd sound.

"Do you have any idea how much Hill frightens them?" Shar said coolly. "His gift is a threat that thieves and assassins who work from the shadows have no answer for. And he can wield Sun Power!
