Background / History

The Defense Clan formerly served the Clear Sky School, handling construction. After the Four Single-Attribute Clans broke away, they later pledged allegiance to Tang San and joined the Tang Sect 34.

When Qian Daoliu attacked the Tang Sect stronghold, Niu Gao joined Yang Wudi and Titan in condemning the killing of civilians. Qian Daoliu held everyone associated with the sect responsible for his granddaughter’s apparent death 33. After Titan and Yang Wudi fell, Niu Gao acknowledged that the Clear Sky School had treated the four clans as tools rather than allies. He regretted pledging loyalty to Tang San, seeing it as a return to the school’s service. Qian Daoliu killed him despite his confession, then destroyed the stronghold and the remaining clan households 34.
