Across the Douluo Continents of three different spacetimes, whether it was the lofty deities of the God Realm, the soul masters cultivating bitterly in the mortal realm, or the soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest, all held their breath.
At this very moment, they all held their breath for the existence about to appear upon that skyscreen, that terrifying existence capable of directly fighting through the entire Celestial Court.
The beginning of the imagery showed the Celestial Court dispatching one hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals. Their golden armor flashed, banners blotted out the sun, and war drums rumbled like thunder, shaking the sea of clouds into turmoil.
The Twenty-Eight Mansions each wielded magical artifacts, arrayed in formation along the clouds. The Giant Spirit God gripped two massive, flower-carved axes, ready for battle at any moment. The Four Heavenly Kings stood separately in four directions: holding a sword, cradling a pipa, gripping an umbrella, and subduing a dragon.
The crowds in the eras of Douluo II and Douluo III even caught sight of themselves after achieving godhood, yet this all-star lineup, sufficient to crush any faction, was merely meant to deal with a single monkey.
Soon, the skyscreen shifted to the true protagonist of this great battle, that figure sitting cross-legged atop Flower Fruit Mountain.
He wore a Phoenix-Winged Purple-Gold Crown, was draped in Chain Mail Golden Armor, and had his feet shod in Lotus-Silk Cloud-Walking Boots. He grasped a Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand—it was none other than the Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sun Wukong!
People had assumed this matchup would at least be a battle between evenly matched opponents, or at the very least drag on in a pitch-black sky where the sun and moon lost their light. However, the scene that followed made their jaws drop.
Sun Wukong merely flicked his wrist slightly, and that Ruyi Jingu Bang grew in the wind, instantly expanding from the thickness of a rice bowl into a pillar propping up the heavens. He swung the golden hoop staff, sweeping it horizontally across with no flashy moves, only pure brute force and monstrous battle intent.
The heavenly soldiers and generals were crushed as if made of paper, and over ten thousand heavenly troops were instantly wiped out. The Giant Spirit God roared as he charged forward, his dual axes cleaving downward.
Yet the Jingu Bang merely spun slightly, sending the dual axes flying. Spouting a mouthful of fresh blood, the Giant Spirit God failed to last even two rounds before a staff struck him directly in the chest. He flew backward like a shooting star, smashing through several immortal mountains, his life or death unknown.
The Twenty-Eight Mansions hastily deployed a inescapable net, attempting to trap Sun Wukong, but Sun Wukong merely yawned, casually swirling the golden hoop staff, and scattered the Twenty-Eight Mansions directly.
The Four Heavenly Kings suffered an even more wretched fate. Zengzhang Heavenly King's pipa strings snapped, Duowen Heavenly King's precious sword shattered into blades, Guangmu Heavenly King's dragon was whipped in two by a single staff blow, and Jinguo Heavenly King's precious umbrella was torn to shreds. The four of them scrambled back up to the clouds in a panic-stricken tumble.

The Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sun Wukong, truly well-deserved of his reputation...
Chen Xin glanced at the sword in his hand. The Zengzhang Heavenly King upon that skyscreen was none other than him. He had not expected his future self to become a god, nor had he expected that after becoming godhood, he would actually battle such a formidable enemy. The Seven Kill Sword that had accompanied him for a lifetime was thus broken with such fragility.
"Your sword at least left half behind. My dragon was directly torn to absolute smithereens."
Gu Rong looked agonizingly at the skyscreen at the bone dragon smashed to smithereens. Although he did not know why his martial soul would turn into an external state like Yu Xiaogang's, that was still his martial soul—arguably his most trusted existence, yet it was beaten into a complete mess just like that.
"The two of you at least still have pieces left. How am I supposed to piece my tower back together?"
Ning Fengzhi pointed at his upcoming self on screen, watching that noticeably upgraded precious pagoda get blown directly into fragments by the Great Sage. It broke his heart; he wondered if it could even be glued back together.

Damn it! Everyone's a soul beast, was there any need to hit so heavily?!
Crimson King watched his future self get blasted flying by a single staff strike, and his mood instantly soured. How was it that whenever he was in the Star Dou Great Forest, others always treated him like some roadside extra to be kicked around, and even after becoming a god, he was still treated like a roadside extra? Wasn't this godhood achieved in vain?
"One piece of good news, one piece of bad news. Among us soul beasts, there are at least twenty-eight who became gods—add those two over there and it's at least thirty. The bad news is that all our years of cultivation went straight into a dog's belly."
For the first time, King of Hundred Beasts felt as though he had lived his many years in complete vain. These soul beasts and fierce beasts starting at 100,000 years of cultivation actually fell short in battle records compared to a junior, and with a gap as vast as heaven and earth at that.
"What do you mean cultivation went into a dog's belly? When do I have such great ability!"
Crimson King immediately stated that if he had such grand capability, this Star Dou Great Forest would have been under his rule long ago.
"Speaking of which, have you ever heard of a place called Flower Fruit Mountain?"
Bi Ji felt as though she had never even heard of this name before. Furthermore, for a mountain to actually have its own name—it seemed humans of the future must have renamed some mountain.
After all, soul beasts never gave names to their own homes; these classifications were initially created by humans, and later, as they grew accustomed to listening to them, they made the same divisions. Even now, however, they still wouldn't specially partition a certain place off.

"Strange..."
Meng Hongchen felt her current mindset was a bit bizarre. By all rights, seeing the existence of someone causing havoc in heaven and fighting the Celestial Court like this should have made her feel quite panicked, or filled with feelings of dislike and the like.
Yet upon seeing him, for some reason, a sense of pride welled up within her heart. It was very strange, much like seeing one's own child achieve some sort of accomplishment.
Xu Feng in the contrast space shared the exact same feeling. By all rights, the Douluo Continent could never possibly give birth to the Great Sage Equal to Heaven.
The one on the skyscreen was definitely not the original version, and ever since the opponent made his entrance and fought the Celestial Court, he had harbored a very strange feeling—one of immense pride, alongside a strong urge to show off.
Douluo III Spacetime
"Whoa! Yuezheng Yu! It's only been five rounds and you've already been beaten flat!"
Xie Xie had originally felt a wave of relief upon seeing that he wasn't among this group of people, figuring that his level simply wasn't high enough to participate in a battle of this magnitude. That could also be considered good news—at least he didn't need to go fight this Great Sage.
Then he watched Yuezheng Yu, who had come to block the way, get beaten flat in a mere five rounds. Wasn't this combat power a bit too fierce?
"He's been intercepted! It's Tang Wulin!"
The people around them suddenly cried out. Sun Wukong had charged all the way toward the Hall of Miraculous Mist, swatting away all the immortals like roadside extras with not a single one able to stop him.
Such a scenario only vanished when Tang Wulin made his entrance, and Tang Wulin, having attained godhood, once again reaped a wave of fans.
"When did Wulin raise a dog? Whatever, it doesn't matter, as long as he could stop him!"
Xie Xie stared at the black thin dog by Tang Wulin's side, wondering when Tang Wulin had raised it. Their relationship seemed quite close, but such matters didn't matter. What mattered was that the opponent was genuinely intercepted; if they had really been beaten all the way through, they would have lost face to an extreme degree.
