History

Xu Feng's Martial Soul did not inherit the Sun Moon Empire's prestigious royal abilities, such as the sun or Purple Brilliant Heaven Destroying Dragon. Its apparent lack of royal pedigree caused the Emperor and Crown Prince to disregard him despite granting him the title Prince of Qin 1.

Its random character system drove Xu Feng to join the army at age eight and fight for six years in pursuit of stronger rolls. By fourteen, he had become a Five-Ring Soul King but had acquired only two Three-Star characters 1.

Currency War was later revealed to be directly connected to Xu Feng's account and companions from the Astral Express. Their appearances and affection levels are fully unlocked, allowing them to manifest through Soul Power-constructed bodies that retain their original souls and memories 2.

Random Card-Pool Summoning

Currency War allows Xu Feng to choose five characters from a card pool for combat.

• The available five-character selection refreshes randomly at the start of every battle, making reliable team composition difficult 1.

Three-Star Advancement

Three-Star characters mark a major threshold in Currency War's functionality.

• Before this threshold, Xu Feng controls summoned puppets rather than his own true body 1.

• March 7th and General Yaoguang are the only documented Three-Star characters in Xu Feng's roster at age fourteen 1.

Account-Linked Manifestation

The Martial Soul is linked to Xu Feng's former account, enabling familiar companions to inhabit Soul Power-created bodies.

• March 7th's manifested body is created from Xu Feng's Soul Power, while her soul and memories remain those of her original self 2.
• Manifested companions can communicate with Xu Feng and return information to their original world 2.
• March uses the connection to photograph Xu Feng's life and relay it to the Astral Express 2.

Possession and Power Borrowing

Xu Feng can borrow a companion's abilities by transforming into that companion.

• March 7th — A Three-Star companion capable of manifesting through a Soul Power body; part of the Astral Express bond 1 2 5.

• Blade — Possession form with overwhelming regeneration, brutal swordsmanship, and dangerous Mara-induced aggression 3.
