Nature and Acquisition

A Soul Skill is an ability formed when a Soul Ring fuses with a Martial Soul. Its nature is shaped by the compatibility between the ring and the Martial Soul rather than by the Soul Beast alone. Li Ming’s Nightmare Beast ring, for example, produced a Dream ability suited to his Satellite Spirit’s information-transmission functions. 9

Soul Skills are normally limited by the number of Soul Rings a Soul Master possesses. A Title Douluo above Level 90 generally has nine Soul Skills from nine Soul Rings, excluding abilities granted by Soul Bones. This is the ordinary one-skill-per-ring pattern rather than an absolute limit: Li Ming’s Hundred-Thousand-Year fourth ring grants both Whale Siphon and Demon King Annihilation Cannon. 16 95

• Soul Ring age — Older rings generally provide much stronger Soul Skills; Thousand-Year, Ten-Thousand-Year, and Hundred-Thousand-Year rings differ greatly in power. 16
• Martial Soul compatibility — A skill may appear weak in conventional combat yet become powerful when used with a compatible Martial Soul. 4 9
• Soul Bone abilities — Soul Bones can provide skills outside the normal Soul Ring limit. 23

• Ring and bone evolution — Fortune can strengthen the sources of existing skills. Li Ming’s Sunflower ring and three Soul Bones undergo enhancements associated with the Star Dou Great Forest’s fortune. 30 32 36
• Artificial acquisition — Successfully fused Artificial Soul Rings grant skills to their recipients. Artificial sacrifice can prevent hostile mental attacks, but early experiments do not eliminate the physical strain of absorbing Soul Power. 92

Dream Space

Li Ming’s Dream Soul Skill can target anything observed by his Satellite Spirit. This range allows him to select targets through the Satellite Map and draw them into Dream Space from extreme distances. 12

Dream Space supports multiple users because the Satellite Spirits synchronize information and the Satellite AI constructs the dream environment. Its early tests on ordinary people showed no transmission delay, movement lag, data loss, or missing body data. 9 12

• Communication — Users can meet and exchange information across vast distances within a shared dream. 9 14
• Simulation — Satellite AI can generate Dummies and record Soul Skill performance data during simulated combat. 17
• Cultivation — Dream Space permits Soul Skill practice and Self-Created Soul Skill experimentation without risking physical injury. 16

Resistance and Limits

Mental strength and cultivation level affect whether Dream can control a target. Ning Fengzhi, a Level 79 Spirit Saint, immediately dispelled Li Ming’s Dream attack and resisted it more than one hundred times. 12

A coordinated satellite attack can increase the skill’s mental impact, but it does not guarantee full control. A nearly five-thousand-year Soul Beast was stunned by hundreds of simultaneous Dream casts yet remained conscious. 23

Li Ming later believed that his increased spiritual power could trap Spirit Ancestors in dreams, though this was his own assessment rather than a demonstrated result. 36

A subsequent sparring match demonstrates the skill’s effectiveness against Dai Mubai. Even after activating White Tiger Vajra Transformation, Dai Mubai cannot evade Nightmare and sees the Shrek members dead within the illusion. Li Ming strikes him while his consciousness is trapped; the punch breaks the dream and ends the match. This demonstrates control of Dai Mubai, rather than confirming Li Ming’s earlier claim about groups of Spirit Ancestors. 65

Early Dream simulations require users to represent their real strength accurately. Satellite AI checks inconsistencies, while actual demonstrations provide destructive-power data that its initial technological scans could not fully measure. 17

Special Applications

Nightmare can take effect within a dream because the surrounding Dream Space is itself formed from the same Soul Skill’s power. During Fate AI’s operation involving a captured thread, Li Ming must personally cast Nightmare on Xiao Yun’s paw. 78

The skill also serves as a programmed command rather than only an attack or communication medium. Fate AI installs Nightmare as the trigger for the Artificial Whale Stomach’s sacrifice program; Li Ming casts it to begin the Hundred-Thousand-Year sacrifice. 93

Self-Created Soul Skills

Self-Created Soul Skills are techniques created through a Soul Master’s own Martial Soul. Unlike ring-derived abilities, they are additional to a Soul Master’s normal Soul Skills and can continue growing with the user’s Soul Power. 16

Their development is dangerous: a failed attempt may cause severe injury or permanently reduce cultivation. 16

The Personal Cultivation Assistant evaluates such techniques by analyzing the user’s Martial Soul, Soul Rings, physical condition, and demonstrated power. It can recommend adjustments and quantify whether a modification improves a skill. 16 18

Fate AI and Technique Adaptation

Fate AI advances beyond Satellite AI’s incremental development process. It demonstrates the ability to directly deduce suitable Self-Created Soul Skills from a user’s Martial Soul and Soul Power rather than requiring repeated adjustments to complete the technique. 43

Established arts can also supply transferable principles. Li Ming commissions research into the Chaos Cloaking Hammer Technique, Great Sumeru Hammer, and Ring Detonation after obtaining data from Tang Hao. Their force-exertion, Soul Power concentration, and ring-detonation mechanisms are especially suited to the Clear Sky Hammer, but are not necessarily exclusive to it. 50

For Thirty-Six Swift Blades, Fate AI converts the completed technique into a reality program implanted in Li Ming. The program directs his movements precisely, allowing immediate execution and reducing the initial practice requirement. Repeated use can then help him master the technique. This bodily programming works because Fate AI is part of his own Martial Soul; it is not presented as a way to control other people’s bodies. 51

Great Sumeru Hammer analysis produces a different benefit: its rapid condensation of Soul Rings and Soul Power improves the pulse beam’s charging speed. The research does not substantially increase the beam’s power by itself. 51

Wider Cultivation and Engineering Use

Li Ming’s saber demonstration leads Yu Xiaogang to reconsider the importance of Martial Soul quality. He suggests that sufficient comprehension and Self-Created Soul Skills could compensate for weaker talent or Martial Souls, and that Purple Heaven City may change the basis of competition between Soul Masters. These are his conclusions from the demonstration rather than established universal outcomes. 64

The same assistant later analyzes Soul Tool Core Arrays, identifying errors and recommending improvements. Kong Desheng verifies Dream Space’s realism through deliberately flawed and corrected Armor-Piercing Arrays, then recognizes the assistant’s ability to detect mistakes he had overlooked. 101 102 103

Li Ming benefits from this research as well: users’ demonstrations and designs supply material for further AI analysis. Kong Desheng explicitly recognizes the risk that innovations produced within Purple Heaven City become accessible to its city lord. Li Ming subsequently distributes a Soul Engineer Edition tutorial and trial to representatives of the Sun Moon Continent’s seven empires. 103 107

Satellite-Based Amplification

Li Ming’s Satellite Spirit allows Soul Skills to be cast or enhanced through a large orbital network rather than only through his own body.

• Sunlight Absorption is amplified by satellites receiving prolonged or continuous sunlight in Terminator Orbit. 4 6
• Dream can be launched at distant targets observed by satellites and intensified through simultaneous casting. 12 22
• Scorching Beam uses distributed solar-energy reserves across more than a thousand satellites, producing “Thousand-Fold Energy.” 32
• Swift Wind Thrust and Planetary Devastation become substantially stronger after Li Ming’s Soul Bone mutation. Testing records roughly twentyfold greater explosive power and a two-hundred-meter satellite dash. 32
• Pulsed Scorching Beam is developed as an orbital weapon. Atmospheric absorption and scattering are initially major obstacles to striking ground targets effectively; a later Thousand-Fold Pulse Beam test destroys an island. 33 40
• Space Station evolution preserves and upgrades the orbital network after the Martial Soul’s Secondary Awakening, providing thousands of connected research and production facilities. 56 57
• Whale Siphon inspires Li Ming to consider combining the temporary reserves gathered by more than a thousand Space Stations into a powerful attack. This is a proposed application, not a demonstrated thousand-station discharge. 95
• External Soul Power storage becomes another proposed extension. Li Ming considers using Milk Bottle Soul Tools with Whale Siphon and Di Tian’s energy-producing cells to establish a steady Soul Power supply. 103

Beam and Devouring Weapon Characteristics

Scorching Beam travels at the speed of light and stores sunlight directly, avoiding an intermediate conversion into electricity. Li Ming can vary beam power and duration, but higher power consumes more energy; pooled orbital reserves compensate for the limitations of his personal Soul Power. Pulsed attacks combine extreme heat with an impact shockwave. 33

The island-destruction test confirms large-scale physical damage, while the possibility of threatening a Title Douluo remains Li Ming’s assessment. His imagined future weapons against Deities require further time and technological development. 40

Demon King Annihilation Cannon offers a different mechanism. Its Devouring Wave consumes material rather than relying solely on heat, and can also devour Soul Power and potentially counter unusual defenses. Tests produce a narrow, deep penetration through a tree and the ground, as well as a broader blast that removes part of an island. 95 96

The Devouring Wave travels more slowly than light. Li Ming believes additional Soul Power could increase its speed and strength, but his speculation about piercing through Douluo Star is not a demonstrated feat. 96

Soul Ring and Soul Skill Editing

Fate AI proposes treating Soul Rings as structures of immense Soul Power and “Code.” By analyzing existing ring structures and power attributes, it hopes to reproduce or program them with Fate Power, potentially allowing Li Ming to replace existing skills with suitable abilities represented in its database. This remains a research proposal rather than an immediately available unrestricted capability. 43 44

The Space Station Martial Soul’s laboratories improve the equipment available for this work. Xiao Yun proposes collecting Soul Beast data and samples to model their power attributes, with the eventual aim of editing rings and reproducing desired skills. Research into Di Tian’s Dark Power is particularly important because his Black Dragon Sword and Dark Annihilation Domain depend on it. 51 57

Camouflage Versus Core Editing

During Li Ming’s duel with Dai Mubai, Fate AI uses reality programming to create the appearance of a purple third Soul Ring. This changes the visible presentation only; it does not alter the actual essence of his Ten-Thousand-Year ring. Fully deconstructing and modifying the cores of Soul Rings and Soul Skills remains difficult and unfinished. 65

Artificial Ring Formation and Research Data

The Artificial Soul Ring Project initially struggles to obtain rings from cultivated whale organs. A breakthrough occurs when Fate AI connects a simple AI program to artificial brain tissue and the whale organ. Li Ming destroys the resulting creation, Little Life, with Scorching Beam, after which a complete Ten-Year Soul Ring condenses. 82 90

Later fusion trials confirm that Artificial Soul Rings can grant skills. Three test subjects successfully obtain Yellow Soul Rings and report their abilities and experiences through Dream Space. Their fusion is still painful, showing that preventing a Soul Beast’s mental attack does not automatically provide gentle Soul Power guidance. 92

During Li Ming’s Hundred-Thousand-Year fusion, Fate AI takes control of the ring’s embedded AI spiritual entity and guides its Soul Power, relieving the absorption strain. It observes and records the formation of Whale Siphon and Demon King Annihilation Cannon without interfering, because the skill-editing project is not mature enough to risk modifying the process. The data is preserved for future ring editing and more controlled artificial sacrifice. 94 95

Continuing Growth of Existing Skills

Li Ming’s first ring demonstrates that a skill’s source can outgrow its original classification through exceptional intervention. By the artificial-sacrifice trials, fortune has transformed the originally Hundred-Year Sunflower ring so extensively that Li Ming considers it certainly beyond a Ten-Thousand-Year ring in effect, although he does not know its exact equivalent age. Its continuing physical enhancement operates even while his Soul Power is stopped at a ring barrier. 92
