A High God is created by refining a Sovereign Spark. The Spark grants immense Willpower Might and permits its bearer to draw upon the Panlong Universe’s world power, making them an administrator responsible for maintaining the universe’s operation. Refining a Sovereign Spark takes only an instant for a qualified High God-level cultivator 284 347.

World Power and Willpower Might

• A Sovereign Spark grants Willpower Might more than ten thousand times greater than that of an ordinary Paragon 347.
• Only exceptionally rare second-stage Controller Realm experts can use law comprehension to substantially resist a High God’s Willpower Might 347.
• Within the Panlong Universe, High Gods possess overwhelming authority; outside it, they cannot draw upon world power and revert to their original strength 347.
• The immediate power granted by a Sovereign Spark is great enough that even cultivators aware of its long-term cost struggle to refuse it 347.

Faith Power

High Gods can strengthen themselves through Faith Power. After discovering this method, Sovereign Spark holders began competing for believers and territory, igniting wars across the Supreme Planes and eventually numerous Material Planes 283.

Relation to Divine Cultivation

The term “High God” is also used for the highest ordinary elemental divine realm. This realm is distinct from the extraordinary authority granted by a Sovereign Spark.

Limitations

• Sovereign Spark holders become dependent on the Panlong Universe; leaving it deprives them of the world power that makes them High Gods 347.
• The power gained through a Sovereign Spark imposes invisible shackles that prevent ordinary holders from pursuing true transcendence beyond the universe 347.
• High Gods cannot openly spread knowledge of cultivation beyond the Paragon realm or force ancient families to worship them under the truce that ended the ancient High God–Paragon war 284.
• The four Rule Rulers later prohibited High Gods from hunting one another, threatening collective execution for violations 344.

History

Sovereign Sparks appeared throughout the Four Supreme Planes during an age when Paragons stood at the pinnacle of cultivation. Their bearers acquired power capable of easily killing Paragons, prompting widespread conflict as High Gods hunted weaker gods for additional Sparks 283.

The later discovery of Faith Power intensified the struggle. High Gods sought believers and territory across countless planes, while ancient clans and Paragons resisted their expanding authority 283 284. The resulting war devastated major families, including the Morgan Family, until a truce established the age of High God rule and restricted the open transmission of higher cultivation knowledge 284.
