History

Origins and decline

The Four Divine Beasts Family traces its legacy to four Divine Beast High Gods. The Four Ultimate Warriors of the Yulan Mainland—Dragonblood, Tiger-Striped, Violetflame, and Undying Warriors—were descendants and disciples of this family, inheriting an instinctive bond from their founders’ brotherhood 24 54.

Its downfall began after the deaths of the Four Divine Beast ancestors. Beirut prevented Augusta from obtaining their High God sparks and corpses, prompting Augusta to spread news of their deaths to clans that already resented them 211. Unable to contact several ancestors and facing a sudden multi-clan assault, the family retreated to Hell 211.

Several pursuing clans originally intended to stop after the retreat, but Han Jin united them into the Eight Clans, transported them to Hell, and supplied them with High God Power. The resulting war lasted ten thousand years 211.

Return of the Yulan Mainland lineage

Byron Redding led an escort force to bring the Yulan Mainland descendants—Wharton, Linley, Kane, Kate, Sally, and Barker—to Hell 207. At the Tianji Mountains, Linley established his Baruch lineage through clan records, while Kane proved his descent from the Bole and Tiger-Striped Warrior line 212.

Gaisreisen accepted the group as family members and viewed Wharton, Linley, and Kane as vital future assets in the war against the Eight Clans 212.

Revival under Wharton

Wharton supplied the family with cultivation manuals and three alchemical resources: Creation Pills, Life-Nurturing Creation Pills, and Enlightenment Pills 216. After more than two years of seclusion, he provided over 100,000 Creation Pills, nearly 10,000 Life-Nurturing Creation Pills, and 134 Enlightenment Pills to Gaisreisen for strategic distribution 216.

The family suspended external conflict, required oaths before distributing its new manuals, and entered widespread secluded cultivation 218. This program rapidly expanded the number of elders, Aces, and Six-Star Demon disciples 226 228.

War with the Eight Clans

Following its revival, the family reorganized its forces and launched a counteroffensive in Bloodbattle Valley. Wharton proposed concealing its increased elder strength by sending two powerful elders on missions where enemies expected only one, leading to the deaths of seventeen enemy Seven-Star Demon elders at the loss of only two of its own 231.

The conflict escalated into a decisive war against the Eight Clans, the Augusta Family, and allied High God Families. Wharton and William revealed themselves as Paragons and expelled four hostile Paragons rather than killing them, avoiding direct retaliation from their High God backers 253.

The Eight Clans collapsed after all eight patriarchs were killed. The Four Divine Beasts Family pursued their forces across the Bloodridge Continent before Gaisreisen ordered an end to the slaughter so the family could recover 260.

Later expansion

After defeating the Eight Clans, the family began permitting disciples to train throughout Hell while forbidding travel to other Supreme and Divine Planes because of possible retaliation 265. It later entered the Planar Battlefield, where its Four Symbols Formation made its members targets for hostile High God Families and former enemies 291 299.

The Great Upheaval accelerated cultivation across the family, producing large numbers of Six-Star Demons, Seven-Star Demons, Shuras, and Paragons 317. During the later wars against Ancient Families, it defended the Tianji Mountains against the Paretoto Family and expanded its influence across Hell 352.
