Background / History

Qingwei is the daughter of Su Yuanshan and Madam Su. Her father entrusts her with managing parts of the Su Family's business, including the Su Family Shop. Her first meeting with Lin Fan occurs when he brings a large quantity of medicinal herbs to the shop; she recognizes his concealed cultivation, purchases the herbs at eighty percent of market value, and establishes a fair business relationship with him. 14

As Lin Fan repeatedly sells herbs, prey, and Ferocious Beasts through the shop, Qingwei assists him with practical matters. She gives him a Su Family VIP card, handles his weapon commission, and lends him a Forging Grade 17 spear while he waits for his superior weapon to be completed. 15 18 19 24

After learning that Lin Fan can refine pills, Qingwei recruits him as a Su Family alchemist and family guard. She accommodates his insistence that cultivation remain his priority, grants him access to the Pill Pavilion's books, materials, and furnaces, and arranges for him to work only when the Pavilion requires additional help. 31 36 She later grants him guest elder credentials, residence within the Su Family Estate, and protection from internal harassment. 32

Qingwei initially fears that Lin Fan's public contest against the Pill Pavilion's veteran alchemists is reckless, but she rushes to the scene, alerts her father, and covertly supports Lin Fan with High-grade Qi-Replenishing Pills during the contest. His sweeping victory confirms the value of her trust in him. 38 42 43

Following Lin Fan's victory, Su Yuanshan proposes their marriage. Qingwei waits anxiously for Lin Fan's decision; after he accepts, the pair make mutual promises of protection and companionship. They marry six days later and move into Sunset Glow Courtyard, where Qingwei leaves her shop responsibilities to cultivate, care for the household, and accompany Lin Fan. 44 45 47
