Background

Rat Demons operate in organized groups that abduct humans for “blood food.” A ten-demon group ambushed Lin Family servants outside Yueyang, stripped flesh from an injured man’s legs, and demanded that the remaining servants abandon him. They claimed that a neighboring county had already been converted into a demon-controlled blood-food breeding ground and that Yueyang would follow 9.

A group transporting five unconscious youths was later ambushed by Gao Fei. Nine Blood-Qi Realm Rat Demons were killed alongside their Skin Tempering Realm leader, and the captives were untied afterward 10.

The demons later appeared as subordinates of Yellow Great Immortal. When twenty Rat Demons encountered the Cat Demon at a mountain hollow, they instinctively surrounded it despite trembling in fear; Yellow Great Immortal suppressed them and executed one Rat Demon for failing to deliver promised blood food 17.

Appearance

Rat Demons are small, upright rodents that vary noticeably in size with cultivation.

Rat Demons reveal the demon forces’ systematic exploitation of humans by ambushing the Lin Family’s blood-food convoy. Their cruelty causes the servants to abandon their mutilated companion, while Gao Fei prepares to intervene from hiding 9.

Gao Fei’s First Rat Demon Battle

Gao Fei ambushes a group carrying five captives, kills the Blood-Qi Realm Rat Demons, and narrowly defeats their Skin Tempering Realm leader after upgrading the Six Harmonies Spear to the Ultimate Realm 10.

Yellow Great Immortal’s Horde

After Liu Chief Constable betrays the constables, Rat Demons surround Gao Fei’s group. They repeatedly block every escape route, forcing Gao Fei through Skin Tempering, Bone Tempering, Tendon-Bone True Return, and Organ Refinement breakthroughs while fighting the horde 19 21 22 23.

Assault on Yueyang County City

Rat Demons infiltrate Yueyang through tunnels beneath the walls. They massacre martial arts hall members and surround the surviving defenders, but Gao Fei arrives and kills most of the attackers before pursuing the fleeing survivors for Merit Points 37 38.

Valley Ambush

Hundreds of Rat Demons later gather with Cat Demons, black gorillas, and stronger demon creatures in a mountain valley, apparently preparing an ambush against County Magistrate Xue. The force scatters after Yellow Great Immortal is killed and the Cat Demon is defeated 48 49 50.
