Origins and History

According to the Child's account, demons were created in his image as weapons against humanity after humans repeatedly survived and adapted to Heaven's attempts to destroy them. Demons initially drove humanity close to extinction through superior strength and intelligence. 585

Their purpose changed as they developed independent thought, ambition, and methods of self-improvement. The war between humans and demons became a mutual struggle for growth: humans developed martial arts through conflict, while demons expanded their strength and territory. The two races eventually influenced one another so deeply that humanity nearly assimilated demons. 585

The exact relationship between demons and Heaven's Will remains unclear. The Child claims demons were modeled after him, while Lin Jun later identifies Heaven's Will itself as a demon. 585 622

Demon Kingdom Legacy

The Demon Kingdom was a major demon civilization founded by Ling Yao, a human, and later ruled by his half-demon lineage. Its disappearance left behind formations, trials, Demon Weapons, Small Worlds, and other treasures that continue to influence both demons and humans. 366 368

Demon society is not unified. Racial hostility, competing bloodlines, and personal grudges leave demon forces fragmented despite their numbers. 276
