Arc 18The Lighthouse Seal

Bai Zhu joined Ging on Greed Island to create a healing card, then learned that Mystery International’s Court was tracking him and had an outpost near the Old Trench. On Ring Island, the crew uncovered the Court’s experiments beneath the Lighthouse, where Vick’s transformation triggered a spreading black mist and forced Bai Zhu to call for retreat.

  • Ging recruited Bai Zhu to help create a healing card for Greed Island, and Bai Zhu agreed in exchange for payment, freedom to explore, and answers to three future questions.
  • Bai Zhu entered the ruins’ core and used the Soul King’s Pen to repair its unstable seal, then agreed to let Ging investigate Anvil Enterprises and Court.
  • Bai Zhu and Ging completed an SSR healing card, while Ging revealed that Court had classified Bai Zhu as sample A-037 and could track his residual samples.
  • When Hound’s pursuit team attacked Greed Island, Bai Zhu killed the attackers, destroyed their boats and equipment, and left for the Silent Root Sea after the squad’s post-mortem Nen tracked him.
  • Bai Zhu joined Morel, Knuckle, Shuto, and Milluki on a voyage across Old Trench, where the crew encountered the Sea Lord and discovered that parasitic slime linked its hosts into a collective consciousness.
  • The Landlord led Bai Zhu to the Lighthouse, where he found Court’s emblem and learned that the Court had built an outpost to study the underwater seal.
  • Piyu deciphered the ruins’ records and revealed that Court had tunneled beneath the island toward the Dark Continent, using Sirens and civilians to study the seal before abandoning the outpost.
  • Bai Zhu followed Vick into the Lighthouse, destroyed Vick’s transformed black mist with Raikōhō, and carried Milluki out as black clouds spread across Ring Island, then activated Morel’s locator bomb and called for retreat.
Chapters 426–450 Vol. 5 Read

Ch. 426Making a Run for Greed Island

Bai Zhu agreed to join Ging Freecss on Greed Island in exchange for pay and possible information about Anvil and Court. After Camilla revealed that Feng Xia and the others were safe and invited him to Kakin, Bai Zhu learned the first queen wanted another blood sample and decided to hurry his escape plan.

  • Ging Freecss called Bai Zhu and offered him a paid role testing recovery mechanics for Greed Island, promising a special route and ticket.
  • Bai Zhu accepted Ging's offer, hoping to learn more about Anvil and Court.
  • Camilla approached Bai Zhu and told him Feng Xia and the others from Sankara Town were alive, safe, and living under new identities in the Ochima Federation.
  • Camilla invited Bai Zhu to Kakin as an honored guest, but he refused because he feared the empire's chaos.
  • Camilla revealed that the first queen had ordered her to obtain Bai Zhu's blood and gave him an encrypted address and her private contact details.
  • Camilla departed by royal speedboat, and Bai Zhu decided to speed up his escape and head for Greed Island.

Ch. 427Razor, are you trying to send me to my grave?

Bai Zhu traveled to Ging Freecss's coordinates while cautiously studying Katen Kyōkotsu, then reached a deserted island and was attacked by Razor. After Bai Zhu defended himself and confronted Razor, Razor warned him that the real “ship” was about to arrive.

  • Bai Zhu used Kidō Analysis and the meaning of Katen Kyōkotsu's name to raise his comprehension from 2% to 3%, while the Soul King's Pen reacted to the name.
  • Bai Zhu reached the unmapped island after traveling by cargo ship and then by skiff.
  • Razor fired Nen Bullets at Bai Zhu, who blocked the second shot with Bakudō #81: Dankū.
  • Bai Zhu struck Razor's cheek with Hado #4: Byakurai and angrily berated him for nearly killing him.
  • Razor hugged Bai Zhu, said Ging had been right about his ability to surprise them, and announced that the real “ship” was about to arrive.

Ch. 428Working stiff

Bai Zhu followed Razor to Ging Freecss's hidden flying-island worksite and learned that Greed Island was a real island transformed into a physical game by Nen. Ging recruited him to help create a regeneration card, and Bai Zhu negotiated a deal before Ging asked why he had never seemed surprised by Greed Island's reality.

  • Razor took Bai Zhu aboard a giant turtle and explained that it was only the bus to the dock.
  • Bai Zhu followed Razor through a Nen barrier to a flying island, where Ging finished work on a clay tablet.
  • Ging explained that Greed Island was a physical game built with Nen and recruited Bai Zhu to help create a healing card based on Angel's Glance.
  • Bai Zhu agreed to help in exchange for payment, freedom to explore and use the island, and truthful answers to three future questions.
  • Ging rejected the thirty billion Jenny demand but promised Bai Zhu a different reward, and Bai Zhu accepted the deal.
  • As they headed into camp, Ging asked why Bai Zhu had never seemed surprised that Greed Island was a real island.

Ch. 429The game begins

Bai Zhu learned that Greed Island was a real island transformed and sustained by Nen, and Ging explained that making a card required the system to record a user's ability. Wary of exposing Angel's Glance, Bai Zhu followed Ging to see proof that the recorded abilities could not be used outside the game.

  • Bai Zhu reasoned that Greed Island was an actual island remodeled with Nen, and Ging acknowledged his insight.
  • Razor showed Bai Zhu Greed Island's impossible landscapes and explained the Nen field that sustained them.
  • Ging introduced Bai Zhu to List, Dwun, Elena, and Ida, then explained how the island translated abilities into cards.
  • Ging said the system needed a user's full cooperation to scan and record his ability, making Bai Zhu fear that Angel's Glance would be exposed.
  • Piyu questioned Bai Zhu about his unfamiliar energy system until Ging interrupted and assured him recorded abilities worked only inside the game.
  • Ging led Bai Zhu toward the center of the flying island to show him proof.

Ch. 430Ruins Core

Bai Zhu followed Ging beneath Greed Island and learned that the game drew power from an ancient ruin containing the sealed Nightmare Lord. When Bai Zhu touched the core, the Soul King's Pen plunged into it and dragged his consciousness into a white space.

  • Bai Zhu noticed that the glowing circuits beneath the camp converged inward, and Ging revealed that Greed Island was built on power leaking from a ruin below the island.
  • Bai Zhu offered dried seafood to the One-Eyed Owl statue, which accepted it, leaving Ging and Razor stunned.
  • Bai Zhu and Ging examined murals depicting Zhang Ye sealing the Nightmare Lord, and Ging explained that its leaking power enabled permanent Nen abilities and Greed Island's card system.
  • Ging asked Bai Zhu to help stabilize the core as its energy leak worsened, and Bai Zhu felt his Soul King's Pen react to the sphere containing the sealed figure.
  • Bai Zhu touched the sphere, and the Soul King's Pen plunged into it, triggering an alarm and pulling Bai Zhu's consciousness into an empty white space.

Ch. 431Dreamscape Out of Control

Bai Zhu discovered that the Ruins’ seal was failing and tried to use the Soul King’s Pen to shut its pressure vent, while the core manifested Ging and Razor’s fears and regrets. As Bai Zhu neared death, a colossal owl apparition emerged inside the sphere and looked toward him.

  • Bai Zhu found himself trapped inside the Ruins’ core, where attacks twisted unpredictably and his Reiatsu was being drained.
  • Ging and Razor failed to pull Bai Zhu away as the swelling sphere created manifestations of Ging’s dead teammate, a cold version of Gon, and Razor’s victims.
  • Bai Zhu realized the sealed rule could turn imagination into reality and that its pressure vent was open too wide.
  • Bai Zhu surrendered control of his Reiatsu to the Soul King’s Pen and tried to rewrite the seal’s rules to force the vent shut.
  • Ging was thrown back when he tried to sever Bai Zhu’s connection, and Bai Zhu’s life signs weakened as silvery-white patterns appeared across his body.
  • A platinum-white light revealed an enormous one-eyed owl apparition, which looked toward Bai Zhu.

Ch. 432Rewriting the rules, claiming the ruins

Bai Zhu rewrote the ruins’ seal rules, stabilized the core, and claimed control of it. He left the ruins with Ging and Razor after arranging an intelligence exchange, while warning Ging that Court could be dangerous.

  • Bai Zhu used the Soul King's Pen and his Reiatsu to rewrite the seal’s energy leakage rules, stopping the core’s instability.
  • Zhang Ye’s phantom explained that the ruins held a backdoor for repairing the seal and warned Bai Zhu that changing rules could not change people, then cautioned him to watch out for Court.
  • Bai Zhu returned to reality with the core reduced to fist-size, gained Dream Manifestation and Kidō Fusion, and stored the core in his inventory.
  • Bai Zhu agreed to leave the ruins’ energy supply untouched in exchange for Ging’s help investigating Anvil Enterprises, Court, and other ruins.
  • Ging promised to provide the first batch of intelligence within three days, and Bai Zhu warned him to investigate Court carefully without being exposed.

Ch. 433Card-making Gone Wrong

Bai Zhu and Ging struggled to make a healing ability work on a game card, then discovered that combining Reiatsu with a Nen shell might succeed. After repeated failures left Bai Zhu exhausted, Ging rushed in with a new approach before he could rest.

  • Bai Zhu's Reiatsu repeatedly made the blank cards explode, until he pointed out that Ging was trying to fit his non-Nen ability into a Nen framework.
  • Bai Zhu used the Soul King's Pen to draw Nen out of a card and convert it into Reiatsu, showing Ging that the two energy types could be transformed.
  • Ging proposed placing Bai Zhu's ability inside the card and protecting it with a Nen shell, and the group tried several times without completing a card.
  • Bai Zhu's Kidō Analysis progress rose from 75% to 76% as he rested, and he suspected the Soul King's Pen had a deeper purpose.
  • Ging interrupted Bai Zhu's attempt to sleep and arrived with more blank cards to try a new approach.

Ch. 434Three days and three nights

Bai Zhu and Ging tried to stabilize Nen cards with Reiatsu, and Bai Zhu wondered whether another energy source could replenish them. After the experiment, Bai Zhu received a system warning about his growing resonance with the Ruins Core, and Ging summoned him with important information about what Bai Zhu wanted.

  • Bai Zhu used the Soul King's Pen to send Reiatsu into a blank card, creating a symbol he recognized from the Ruins.
  • The next morning, Bai Zhu and Ging tested a redesigned card, but its Nen shell cracked after eight seconds and Bai Zhu ran out of Reiatsu.
  • Bai Zhu suggested replenishing the cards with energy from the Ruins or another source, and Ging said they would need an energy conversion interface.
  • Bai Zhu's system reported that his Kidō Analysis progress had reached 77% and recommended a deep connection with the Ruins Core after his Reiatsu recovered.
  • On the third morning, Razor brought Bai Zhu to Ging, who told him he had found what Bai Zhu wanted.

Ch. 435Mystery International

Ging told Bai Zhu that Anvil was a branch of Mystery International, a secret V5-backed organization that had classified Bai Zhu’s ability as an S-grade sample and could track him through sample resonance. Bai Zhu chose to remain on Greed Island to finish making the cards, but a five-person team led by the highly successful tracker Hound was already on its way, leaving Bai Zhu with about a week to prepare.

  • Ging showed Bai Zhu that Anvil was part of Mystery International, a covert organization secretly maintained by the V5 to handle anomalous affairs.
  • Ging explained that Mystery International’s Court had classified Bai Zhu’s ability as S-grade sample A-037 and could use his residual samples to track him or replicate his power.
  • Ging told Bai Zhu that Greed Island’s Nen field and the power from its ruins blocked sample-resonance tracking, though a direct search or blockade could still find him.
  • Bai Zhu chose to stay on Greed Island, finish making the cards, and seek a lasting solution to the tracking threat while Ging monitored Mystery International.
  • Ging learned that a five-person tracking team was heading toward the Basha Islands within a week, led by Hound, whose S-grade recovery missions had a one-hundred-percent success rate.
  • Bai Zhu left the tent determined to finish the cards within a week before deciding whether to strike first or keep hiding.

Ch. 436Card-making complete, the hunt comes early

Bai Zhu completed the [Great Angel's Breath] card, then prepared to leave for Ring Island with Ging's help. Mystery International's pursuit squad arrived two days early, forcing Bai Zhu to face them before he could slip away.

  • Bai Zhu used the Soul King's Pen to finish the card, but ancient patterns appeared and he was pulled into a vision of a stone gate and reaching arms.
  • Bai Zhu completed the card despite being drained, and Razor tested it by healing a wound from Bai Zhu's Byakurai.
  • Ging designated the card an SSR Rank rare card and explained how copies and visual effects would be added for the game.
  • Bai Zhu packed to leave for Ring Island, and Ging gave him a covert route and promised to mislead Mystery International about the Ruins Core.
  • Razor warned Bai Zhu that Mystery International's pursuit squad had arrived early, and Bai Zhu saw five speedboats approaching Greed Island.

Ch. 437These Flies Are So Annoying

Bai Zhu watched Ging and his team get overwhelmed by Hound’s Pursuit Team, then revealed his power and drew Ryujin Jakka to protect them. The chapter ended as he began to unleash the sword’s attack.

  • Hound and four Pursuit Team members arrived to capture A-037, and List’s scan showed that they greatly outclassed the camp’s fighters.
  • The deputy captain severely injured Razor and Dwun, while Hound dismantled Ging’s Nen trap and knocked Ging to one knee.
  • Bai Zhu overcame his urge to flee and emerged, striking the sand beside Hound with Hado #4: Byakurai.
  • Bai Zhu drew Ryujin Jakka, whose heat melted the beach and alarmed Hound, then began to say, “All things-”

Ch. 438One slash burned through the suppression field

Bai Zhu defeated Hound’s pursuit team after their Nen Interference Field failed to suppress his power, then left Greed Island for Ring Island’s Silent Root Sea. Hound’s hidden post-mortem Nen revealed Bai Zhu’s destination to Mystery International, prompting Court to recall every pursuit team as a huge horned silhouette stirred beneath the sea.

  • Bai Zhu killed Hound’s captor with Byakurai, then used Gochūtekkan to pin down the attackers and burned Hound to ash.
  • Bai Zhu destroyed the pursuit team’s speedboats and communications equipment, then healed Ging and the others.
  • Ging arranged a cover story that the pursuit team had been swallowed by Nightmare, and Bai Zhu departed for the Silent Root Sea.
  • Hound’s hidden post-mortem Nen tracked Bai Zhu’s Reiatsu and sent his destination to Mystery International.
  • Court ordered every pursuit team recalled after the signal showed a huge white, horned figure turning beneath the sea.

Ch. 439Grilled Fish on the Boat

After eliminating Mystery International's pursuit squad, Bai Zhu sailed away from Greed Island and tried to cross Old Trench, but the Sea Lord forced him to turn back. Milluki arranged a way for him to contact Morel, then revealed that Mystery International had ordered its pursuit squads to withdraw and shared coordinates for Ring Island, Silent Root Sea, leaving Bai Zhu to suspect his destination was known.

  • Bai Zhu sent Razor and List back to Greed Island, then sailed away after killing all five members of Mystery International's pursuit squad.
  • Bai Zhu fished and grilled a meal while reviewing his achievement points, but worried about running out of money.
  • Two months later, Bai Zhu approached Old Trench, where the Sea Lord appeared and marked a boundary that forced him to retreat.
  • Bai Zhu called Milluki, who arranged coordinates for Morel and agreed to help despite the danger of opposing V5.
  • Milluki told Bai Zhu that Mystery International had ordered all pursuit squads to withdraw and gave him coordinates for Ring Island, Silent Root Sea.
  • Bai Zhu recognized the destination from Ging's chart and stared down at his shadow in alarm.

Ch. 440A Pompadour Begging for a Beating

Bai Zhu reached the Shallows and asked Morel for a ride to Ring Island, where he planned to lie low. Knuckle tried to scare him off by lending him aura, but Potclean appeared and vanished after counting an enormous amount of interest.

  • Bai Zhu arrived at the harbor, learned that boats had recently sunk near the Old Trench, and avoided people asking about small boats.
  • Bai Zhu met Morel at the Shallows and asked for help getting to Ring Island.
  • Knuckle objected to Morel taking Bai Zhu into the restricted trench and offered to put him under Forced Zetsu to prove he was a burden.
  • Knuckle lightly punched Bai Zhu, triggering Potclean, which counted rapidly until it burst into smoke.
  • Knuckle stared in disbelief as Morel asked whether he had learned his lesson, and Bai Zhu asked when the boat would leave.

Ch. 441I Want to Go Too

Bai Zhu defeated Knuckle and joined Morel’s plan to sail through Old Trench toward Ring Island. Knuckle, Shuto, and Milluki also came along as the boat set out to sea.

  • Bai Zhu destroyed Knuckle’s Potclean, restrained him with Hainawa, and cut part of his pompadour with Byakurai before restoring its color.
  • Knuckle apologized to Bai Zhu, and Morel warned him not to judge people by their Nen aura.
  • Bai Zhu told Morel about Mystery International, the ruins core, and the mysterious Court, and Morel explained that they would use small boats built from the Sea Lord’s Horn to cross Old Trench.
  • Knuckle and Shuto asked to join the voyage, and Morel agreed after Bai Zhu said he was stronger than before.
  • Milluki packed his gear and slipped away from the Zoldyck Family estate to join the expedition.
  • Three days later, Bai Zhu, Morel, Knuckle, Shuto, and Milluki boarded the pitch-black boat and headed out to sea.

Ch. 442Master Bai's Melon Cap

Bai Zhu discovered that Morel’s ship was a prototype built with Black Gold horn to withstand the Dark Continent, and the crew examined a slime sample from Old Trench. The sample reacted to a blue pillar of light rising from Old Trench, where the story left the crew facing a sudden change in the ocean currents.

  • Bai Zhu reunited with Milluki and the crew aboard the ship, then noticed unusual black-and-gold patterns in its hull.
  • Morel explained that the ship was a scaled-down Black Whale prototype made with Black Gold horn and had survived a trip to Old Trench.
  • Milluki accidentally triggered the horn’s intimidation effect, sending nearby dolphins fleeing.
  • At dinner, Milluki suggested studying the zombie fish and slime samples, and Bai Zhu brought out a sealed slime sample from Old Trench.
  • The slime began churning as a blue pillar of light rose over Old Trench, and the crew reported that the ocean currents were changing.

Ch. 443The Sea Lord's Patrol

Bai Zhu and the crew entered Old Trench during a violent storm and witnessed the enormous Sea Lord patrol its territory. As their passage seemed to go smoothly, a far larger shape began rising from the trench, and Bai Zhu received a warning that an ancient seal was fluctuating.

  • A sudden storm struck the ship near Old Trench, and Gela Jiang used water to cushion the hull as the crew took shelter.
  • The Sea Lord emerged from Old Trench, endured massive lightning strikes, and swam through the sea while the crew watched in terror.
  • Shuto recognized a healed break in the Sea Lord's horn and asked Bai Zhu if he had caused it; Bai Zhu confirmed the horn had regenerated.
  • The Sea Lord looked toward the ship before sinking beneath the waves, and Morel believed its horn material had kept it from attacking.
  • Bai Zhu and the crew entered Old Trench without encountering the parasitic fish, but the Sea Lord reappeared and approached a vast dark shape rising from the depths.
  • Bai Zhu received a warning about ancient seal fluctuations, and Morel said he had never seen the rising shape before.

Ch. 44472-hour countdown: That thing was about to wake

After the Parasitic Slime Molds reacted to Bai Zhu’s Reiatsu, the crew discovered signs that the mucus could infect people while leaving their consciousness intact. The Soul King's Pen began writing ominous Ancient Script, and Landlord warned Bai Zhu not to wake something that Zhang Ye could only seal before energy surged near the Lighthouse.

  • Milluki found that the mucus contained a growing neural network linking its hosts into a collective consciousness.
  • Bai Zhu touched the sample with Reiatsu, and the mucus surged toward him as the distant sea began to boil.
  • Morel recalled that Pushi had survived in seawater and confirmed that everyone from their earlier voyage had been parasitized to some degree.
  • Bai Zhu touched the mucus with the Soul King's Pen, which rose into the air and wrote a line of Ancient Script on its own.
  • Landlord warned Bai Zhu not to wake something that Zhang Ye had only been able to seal, while Milluki's terminal reported surging energy near the Lighthouse.

Ch. 445This Was an Enemy Outpost!

Bai Zhu followed the Landlord to the Lighthouse and learned that Mystery International’s Court had built the structures aboveground as an outpost for researching the Dark Continent. He realized the Lighthouse’s alarm had been triggered by his use of the Soul King’s Pen and began to wonder whether the disaster that trapped Vick had been a planned experiment.

  • Milluki reported that energy fluctuations near the Lighthouse were spiking, and the Landlord tapped Bai Zhu after he forgot to offer tribute.
  • Bai Zhu gave the Landlord a mountain of dried fish and meat, which it took with a glowing root before leading him toward the Lighthouse alone.
  • The Landlord showed Bai Zhu images revealing that Zhang Ye’s group had built the underwater ruins while a second group had constructed the Lighthouse and structures aboveground.
  • The Landlord uncovered a metal plate bearing the Court’s emblem, and Bai Zhu recognized it as proof that Mystery International had built an outpost on the island.
  • Bai Zhu realized his use of the Soul King’s Pen had triggered the Lighthouse alarm and wondered whether the disaster that trapped Vick had been a deliberate experiment.

Ch. 446This Wasn't How the Script Was Supposed to Go!

After Landlord showed Bai Zhu the ruins and the Court emblem, Bai Zhu realized the island might be a Mystery International outpost rather than Zhang Ye’s refuge. He arranged remote help from Piyu, and the connection revealed her asleep at her desk.

  • Landlord showed Bai Zhu the Court emblem and clues that suggested the lighthouse watched or controlled the underwater seal.
  • Bai Zhu returned to camp and told Morel, Milluki, Knuckle, Shuto, Gela Jiang, and Xiao Ba that the island might be a Mystery International outpost.
  • Morel warned Bai Zhu that the Court meant he had stumbled into serious trouble, while Milluki proposed investigating the organization online.
  • Bai Zhu rejected bringing Piyu to the island because crossing Old Trench and leaving the island’s range would be dangerous, then suggested contacting her remotely.
  • Milluki broke through Piyu’s encrypted channel, and the group saw her asleep at her desk on the video call.

Ch. 447Holy Shit, Master, Your Boat Can Fly!

Bai Zhu enlisted Piyu to remotely investigate the ancient ruins and Mystery International’s outpost, then joined Morel’s group as they traveled toward the Lighthouse using their Nen abilities. The group left Milluki behind until Bai Zhu carried him through the air.

  • Piyu angrily confronted Milluki for hacking her private channel, then agreed to analyze the ruins remotely after Bai Zhu explained his suspicions.
  • Bai Zhu refused Piyu’s request to come to the island because Old Trench and the Tracker could expose the group.
  • Morel formed his crewmen’s purple smoke into a flying boat and took Knuckle toward the Lighthouse.
  • Gela Jiang stayed at the camp to help Milluki set up a remote communications base station, while Shuto practiced flying on a black hand.
  • Bai Zhu carried Milluki on his back and flew after Morel’s group toward the Lighthouse.

Ch. 448A thousand-year lie beneath the wall's surface

Bai Zhu and the others investigated the ruins beneath the Lighthouse, where Milluki’s kick exposed an ancient wall revealing the Court’s thousand-year scheme to breach Zhang Ye’s seal and use civilians as test subjects. As the group considered what might lie behind the sealed door, they saw the Lighthouse’s upper door open by itself.

  • Piyu examined the outer ruins and initially dated them to a few hundred years ago, believing they had no direct connection to the Court.
  • Milluki kicked a wall, breaking away its weathered surface and exposing a dark metallic wall covered in Ancient Script.
  • Piyu deciphered the writing as an operational log describing how the Court had spent centuries tunneling beneath the island to bypass Zhang Ye’s seal and reach the Dark Continent.
  • Piyu explained that the Court had brought Sirens into the underground lake and lured civilians to the island as subjects for observing the seal’s deterioration and the effects of the Sirens’ songs.
  • Piyu said the Court had abandoned the island after the Sirens drove its inhabitants mad and attracted the uncontrollable Sea Lord, leaving the civilians behind.
  • Bai Zhu asked about the door connected to the Dark Continent, and Xiao Ba alerted the group when they saw the Lighthouse’s upper door open.

Ch. 449Vick's gaze

Vick emerged from the Lighthouse and beckoned Bai Zhu toward the darkness as the core’s light failed and a seventy-two-hour countdown began. Bai Zhu and Milluki entered the doorway, leaving Morel and the others outside as the Lighthouse went dark.

  • Vick appeared outside the Lighthouse’s open door, and Milluki’s terminal warned that the core’s energy was rapidly declining.
  • Bai Zhu’s system warned of a high-risk contamination source and said the temporal anchor would release in seventy-two hours.
  • Bai Zhu sent Morel, Knuckle, and Shuto back to camp, then took Milluki with him to investigate the Lighthouse.
  • Bai Zhu and Milluki followed Vick through a corridor where time behaved strangely, and Vick told Bai Zhu that something was waiting for him.
  • Vick dissipated, Bai Zhu stepped through the doorway, and the iron door closed as the Lighthouse’s last light went out.

Ch. 450Leave this place

Bai Zhu destroyed the transformed Vick and escaped the Lighthouse with Milluki as a black mist began spreading across Ring Island. He called for Morel and the others to retreat before the mist reached their camp.

  • The Lighthouse twisted out of shape, and Vick transformed into a mass of black mist and tendrils.
  • Bai Zhu used Hadō #63: Raikōhō to vaporize Vick and destroy his remains.
  • Bai Zhu resisted the black hole's pull after noticing that its tempting system messages were contaminated.
  • Bai Zhu carried Milluki out of the Lighthouse and saw black clouds and mist spreading across Ring Island.
  • Milluki estimated the mist would engulf the camp within three hours, so Bai Zhu activated Morel's locator bomb and shouted for everyone to retreat.
