I Have a Feeling There's Someone Here

Facing Feitan's killing intent head-on, Machi, who had only recently begun cultivating Nen, looked a little pale.

After all, she had only been training her Nen ability for a short time, and her talent was not particularly outstanding, so she was not yet very strong.

Machi's sixth sense could not be wrong. That Rasa had definitely already arrived here; they simply had not discovered his trail.

Feitan was impatient and hot-tempered. If Luo Ye did not step in to mediate, he truly feared that Feitan and Machi would start fighting.

Feitan would not go easy on Machi just because she was a woman, so Luo Ye might as well bear the burden himself.

With Luo Ye smoothing things over beside them, Feitan's expression eased, and he stopped pressing Machi. "I came out so quickly, yet he disappeared in such a short time. That guy is really fast."

His own speed was already extremely fast, but against Rasa, it seemed he still fell somewhat short.

As expected of someone who could become a district chief. He really had some skill.

Just then, Illumi abruptly added, "I have a feeling there's someone here."

Besides them, someone else was hiding here.

He simply could not sense where that person was. He only vaguely felt that someone was nearby.

"Someone?" Luo Ye circled around outside, but found nothing unusual. His brows could not help but furrow.

He did not think Illumi was imagining things. After all, someone raised by an assassin family would be exceptionally sensitive to the outside world.

Machi seemed to sense something. Her little face was pale, and fear colored her voice. "He didn't leave. That person is right here."

Right under their noses, openly watching them.

"Are you sure?" After a moment of surprise, Luo Ye looked outside again, scanning the area over and over as he tried to find the invisible enemy.

Machi's sixth sense had been officially confirmed. Since she had sensed it, it could not be wrong.

Unable to find anyone, Luo Ye could only ask Machi, "Is that person invisible? Is that why we can't see him?"

But Illumi answered him instead. "He isn't invisible." He retrieved the Nen needles he had sent out, his brows tightly furrowed. "I just tested it. There was no one in the place that made me feel something was off."

But the problem was that he clearly sensed someone there, which was why that place made him uncomfortable.

Yet he had probed back and forth with his Nen needles and found nothing. It was truly strange.

"Not invisible? But you can clearly sense someone there." Luo Ye stroked his chin in thought. "Could it be space?"

They were in one space, while that person was in another? And that person's space could not conceal his presence, which was why Illumi and the others had caught a trace of him?

"It's space." Machi's tone was certain. "My intuition tells me that person's ability is definitely related to space."

They just did not know what kind of spatial ability it was.

"Are you kidding me? We just picked someone at random and hit the jackpot?" Luo Ye pulled a miserable face, deeply troubled. "Of all things, why did it have to be a spatial ability user?"

If it had been a Nen ability based on the five elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—it would have been manageable. But it had to be an unfathomable spatial ability.

Spatial abilities were known alongside time abilities as the most troublesome abilities of all. That alone showed just how difficult they were to deal with.
