Background

Rasa ruled a district of Meteor City through fear, maintaining a heavily guarded residence and rarely leaving it himself. His subordinates abducted and delivered young girls to the house, where Rasa kept them in different rooms; he was known to be obsessed with young girls and unwilling to risk direct exposure. 14

He occupied a bizarre house created from the postmortem Nen of a deceased little girl. Although Rasa benefited from its defensive mechanisms, food, water, and spatial traps, he was neither its true master nor capable of removing its lingering Nen. He brought girls to the house as potential masters in exchange for continued use of its protection. 26 49

Rasa accumulated food, medicine, and other supplies while using the house’s resources to avoid leaving his refuge. He instead had others take risks and abduct victims on his behalf. 34 49

The house’s food and water supplies enabled Rasa to remain isolated for extended periods and incentivize others to serve him without personally competing for scarce resources. Its provisions were later confirmed to replenish over time. 49 60

A later revelation established that Rasa had also been sent by Xiao Ai, the house-associated spirit, to locate Luo Ye. Xiao Ai had left drawings of Luo Ye for Rasa but forgot to provide an explanatory message, leaving him unable to understand the intended purpose of his search. This miscommunication contributed to Rasa approaching Luo Ye’s group as an enemy and being killed before his task could be clarified. 65 108

Rasa trusts his intuition completely, crediting it with saving his life repeatedly in Meteor City. This instinct warned him that allowing Luo Ye’s group to leave would be dangerous, prompting his final attempt to eliminate them. 19

His reliance on hiding and avoiding danger came at the expense of combat experience. After his death, rival figures in Meteor City attributed his defeat to his lack of experience in direct battle despite possessing a rare and formidable Nen ability. 75

Story Role / Major Arcs

Conflict with Luo Ye’s Group

Rasa became hostile to Luo Ye’s group after they repeatedly freed girls gathered by his subordinates and stole valuables connected to his district. In Meteor City, allowing such public humiliation to go unanswered would invite further challenges, making retaliation unavoidable. 18

Luo Ye, Feitan, Machi, and Illumi exploited Rasa’s obsession with young girls by disrupting his supply route and presenting themselves as bait. Rasa initially remained hidden, observing them through his spatial ability. 14 16 18

Although disrupting the supply of girls pressured Rasa into acting, he had also been dispatched to find Luo Ye by the house’s spirit. Because Xiao Ai neglected to leave an explanation with her drawings, Rasa’s contact with Luo Ye’s group became a fatal confrontation rather than a request for help. 65

Battle and Death

Rasa emerged through a spatial door and attempted to assassinate Luo Ye, whom he apparently judged the easiest target. Feitan intercepted the dagger strike, while Illumi’s needles wounded Rasa and forced him into the open. 18

During the final battle, Rasa trapped Feitan and Illumi with a spatial passage, but Machi’s threads kept them from falling in. He then badly wounded Luo Ye with Spatial Blade. Luo Ye trapped him in Hadō #90: Black Coffin, and Feitan used Rasa’s distraction to stab him through the heart. 19

Legacy

Rasa’s death did not neutralize the dangers in his residence. Its traps and spatial mechanisms remained active because the house was sustained by a dead girl’s postmortem Nen rather than by Rasa himself. 22 26

The house was ultimately claimed by Luo Ye after he completed its written test, ending Rasa’s control over its resources and defenses. 30 32

Rasa’s death altered the balance of power in District 11. Chrollo had previously found the cautious district chief difficult to eliminate and had considered taking both his territory and spatial ability for himself. 50

The house’s continuing food supply made Rasa’s former residence a coveted prize. Rival groups later considered seizing it after fresh-food scents repeatedly spread through Meteor City, while Rasa’s survival strategy became an example of how concealment without direct combat capability could ultimately fail. 60 75
