You Know Me? I Don't Think We've Met

Luo Ye's eyes went wide. "Holy shit, Chrollo Lucilfer!" He'd taken a swipe at the Spider's legs, sure, but he hadn't meant to go straight for its head!

Wait, why was this going completely against the rules? Weren't they supposed to clear the little monsters before the boss appeared?

They hadn't even finished off the little monsters yet. Why had the final boss shown up already?

He'd known he might run into the Spider's leader eventually, but not now! He wasn't mentally prepared!

"You know me?" Chrollo looked at Luo Ye's openly astonished face, his voice tinged with suspicion. "I don't think we've met."

Chrollo had no memory of ever meeting anyone like Luo Ye, yet Luo Ye seemed to know him well. How strange.

Things seemed to be getting more interesting.

"How do I put this?" Luo Ye scratched his head in frustration. "I don't really know you. I've just heard of you."

Though he'd heard about Chrollo on TV and through other people's conversations.

This was the first time he'd seen him in person.

Chrollo didn't believe him. "The way you're looking at me suggests more than that."

Chrollo wasn't famous in Meteor City and hadn't made a name for himself. Yet Luo Ye looked at him as though he were a huge problem.

That hardly looked like someone who had merely heard of him. Luo Ye clearly knew enough about him to have a headache.

"Yezi, why talk to him so much?" Killing intent surged in Feitan's narrow eyes. "It's kill or be killed between us. Whoever has the better moves wins."

"Hmm." Luo Ye propped up his chin. "Actually, I think we could still sit down and talk."

If it had just been Nobunaga and Uvogin, a fight would have been fine. Enhancers often bonded by fighting. But Chrollo's arrival changed things.

No matter how harmless Chrollo appeared now, he would become the Spider's leader and Feitan's boss one day.

If Luo Ye slighted him now, what if Chrollo held a grudge and made life difficult for Feitan later?

Besides, Luo Ye didn't think Chrollo would be easy to deal with even now. How else could he have won over Nobunaga and Uvogin?

Don't tell him Chrollo had talked them into it. People from Meteor City only believed in fists.

Seeing the displeasure on Feitan's face, Luo Ye hastily added another sentence.

"Of course, that's just what I think. Why don't we hear everyone else's opinions? Majority rules, okay?"

He'd contradicted Feitan rather often lately. Better give him a way to back down before things got too tense.

After a moment's hesitation, Machi gave her opinion. "I think we can talk."

Once the decision on their side seemed settled, Illumi slipped out like a shadow. "No objections from me."

Feitan shot him a fierce glare. "You've all said your piece. What else can I say?"

Damn stone-faced bastard. Nowhere to be seen during the fight, and he only shows up when it's over. What does Yezi even need him for?

"Hey, we haven't agreed to talk!" Nobunaga protested when they settled it in a few words.

"Then let's keep fighting," Feitan replied coldly.

"That's enough, Nobunaga. Stop arguing." Chrollo glanced at him. "Uvogin can't take another lightning strike."

Chrollo had a barrier, but lightning was no easy ability to deal with. If they could talk, they should.

Luo Ye gestured toward the entrance and smiled at Chrollo. "There's a table inside. Let's talk in there."
