Inside Jade City

As Ham had said, from above they could see many floating islands outside Jade City Island. The currents around them were still chaotic. Even though the surrounding waters had calmed, the currents below remained dangerous.

Rogge and the others had the advantage. They flew straight in.

It took Charlotte Linlin a long time to come to her senses. She looked dazed.

"Where's that Ghost?" Charlotte Linlin asked blankly.

"They've already entered Jade City," Perospero said.

Charlotte Linlin sprang to her feet. Realizing what had happened, she reached behind her and pulled out Zeus, who had been flattened like a pillow. He was unconscious and in even worse shape than she was.

Charlotte Linlin did not blame Zeus. They shared a soul, so she knew exactly what had happened to him.

She blamed Enel. If his Rumble-Rumble Fruit had not stirred the lightning inside Zeus, she would never have been left in such a sorry state. It was all the fault of those damned Asura Pirates.

"Get in there. I'm going to kill him," Charlotte Linlin said through clenched teeth, murder in her eyes.

"Big Mom, it'll take some time to get inside. The currents ahead are too chaotic," Charlotte Daifuku said.

"What?" Charlotte Linlin was already furious. Hearing someone object, she turned a fierce glare on him.

Even her own son nearly died of fright. Charlotte Daifuku took a step back, drenched in sweat.

Katakuri spoke up. "Big Mom, floating islands surround Jade City. The currents ahead are dangerous. We'd likely get trapped in a maze trying to sail through, but their ship can travel above it."

"Damn it! Was that why they battered Zeus too—to keep us from getting over the islands?" Charlotte Linlin shouted, growing angrier at the thought.
