Rogge had already fought his way into the city. Clearly, he had encountered an opponent—a pirate tamed by the World Government.

He had once been a somewhat famous pirate on the Grand Line. Later, he was defeated by the Marines, but instead of being sent to Impel Down, he was imprisoned on this island and turned into a farm slave—put plainly, a laborer who worked the fields.

This guy had become a pirate because he had not been able to eat his fill. Now that he could, he had gradually lost his wildness and even took the initiative to work. Since he was strong, he quickly blended into the city. Put bluntly, he had developed a slave mentality and lost the mindset of a normal person.

Rogge knew none of that. He only knew that this man was an enemy trying to stop him. He had some strength, but not much, so Rogge knocked him down after ten exchanges. As for whether he was dead or alive, Rogge did not know.

"This should be the place." Rogge arrived before the largest building, where a World Government flag hung at the entrance.

He pressed his hand against the massive iron gate, and a transparent radiance covered in cracks enveloped it.

"Boom!"

With only a little force, the gate became as flimsy as paper before Rogge. Even iron could only shatter under his Devil Fruit ability.

Rogge walked inside. There were quite a few people beyond the gate, but they had not expected it to fail to stop Rogge and be smashed apart so easily.

"Y-you, don't come any closer." The leading official with a black-and-white beard aimed a submachine gun at Rogge.

"Sure." Rogge stopped walking.

"Ah?!!"

The official froze, staring blankly at Rogge. His words actually worked?

"Y-you, don't move," the official said nervously.

"Fine, I won't move," Rogge said.

"It really works? I can command him?" The official could hardly believe it.

"Don't move, did you hear me? Don't move! Tell your companions to stop too. None of you are allowed to move!" the official hurriedly said.

"Pfft!" Rogge could not hold it in any longer. He snickered. "This isn't fun."

"What are you laughing at? Don't laugh! Hold it back!" the official shouted, pointing his gun at Rogge.

"Enough playing around. I have things to do." Rogge raised his fist.

"Sky-Shattering Fist."

"Boom!"

Like a bulldozer sweeping everything aside, the attack tore through the area. The dozens of World Government personnel in front of him all collapsed. Not a single one remained intact, blood dripping from their wounds. They just had not died yet.

"Hey, where's the treasury?" Rogge grabbed the leading black-and-white-bearded man by the throat.

"I... even if... I die..." The official stiffened his neck and spoke while vomiting blood.

"Is that so? Then I can only kill you." Rogge extended a finger toward his eye.

Watching that finger draw closer and closer to his eye, he finally could not endure it anymore and screamed, "It's underground! Underground! Go in through here—there's an iron door. As long as you open it, you can get underground!"

"There, was that so hard?" Rogge squeezed his hand shut, snapping his neck and giving him a quick death.

When he went farther inside, he indeed found a large door. It was tightly sealed, with a password lock and a keyhole. Rogge had neither, but before his ability, the door was no different from nothing.

"Shatter!"

Rogge placed his hand on the iron door. Fortunately, even though the iron door was twenty centimeters thick, it was still broken open by his ability.

A staircase leading downward appeared before him. Lights lined the way, and Rogge walked down, finally reaching the treasury. It did not disappoint him. There were plenty of good things inside.

Gold, Beli.

Because Earthfire Island produced grain, it dealt mostly in cash transactions. Gold was hard currency, while Beli were coins. Only those two things could be called money.

"There should be more than a billion Beli here." Rogge smiled, thoroughly satisfied. He really needed to consider what Ham and the others had said. A pirate crew could not consist of only a few people. Perhaps they should recruit more members.

"There's too much. I'll have to call Jelly over." Rogge looked at the mountain of money before him. There were no banks in this world, and moving all this money alone would not be easy. Once Jelly arrived, it might work. His ability was very convenient.

"The smell of blood." Just as Rogge returned to the hall to wait for Jelly and the others, a man who looked like a savage walked in, holding a whip.

"Who are you?" Rogge asked, drinking as he looked over.

"So it was you, enemy. There's so much blood in the air. They're all excited. They can't wait to drink blood." The savage ignored Rogge and muttered in a low voice.

"Is he an idiot?" Rogge picked up his bottle again.

"Whoosh!"

A whip suddenly lashed out, heading straight for Rogge's throat. Rogge merely leaned aside, and it grazed past his neck.

"Hey, if you don't give me an explanation, someone's going to die." Rogge stopped what he was doing and looked at the savage.

"Go. Kill him." The savage pulled back his whip.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!!"

Countless shadows appeared behind the man. They moved so quickly that their actions could not be seen clearly. Their bodies were snow-white and blended into the surroundings, making their forms nearly impossible to make out.

Using Observation Haki, Rogge caught sight of what they were: white foxes. The most distinctive thing about them was their black paws and blood-red eyes. Sharp claws extended from all four feet, allowing them to grip the snow and move swiftly.

"Whoosh!"

A fox pounced at him. Rogge immediately dodged, but the wine flask in his hand was sliced open. Three sharp claw marks appeared on the metal flask, and liquor spilled from within.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!"

The foxes moved incredibly fast. Dozens of them kept pouncing, launching ambushes against Rogge. He dodged continuously. Before today, he might have been injured, but his battle with Hina yesterday had pushed his Observation Haki to a breakthrough. Now, he could completely grasp the foxes' movements.

His Observation Haki could not see very far into the future. Instead, it slowed things down, just like Sanji's. In his eyes, everything moved extremely slowly. Even though the foxes were fast, Rogge could still catch them.

"Looks like you've got some skill. Die for me." After seeing the foxes attack repeatedly without effect, the savage decided to act himself. He flicked his whip and lashed it viciously toward Rogge.

"Smack!"

Rogge reached out and grabbed the whip. The foxes seemed to see an opportunity as well and swarmed him. In an instant, dozens of claw marks appeared across Rogge's body.

"Come here." Rogge suddenly yanked the whip. The savage apparently had not expected Rogge to be so strong. Before he could react, Rogge dragged him over and raised his fist at the incoming savage.

"Die." The power of the Chop-Chop Fruit appeared around Rogge's fist.
