Background / History
God Valley Incident
Alice lived with her husband, Rocks D. Zebek, and their young son Marshall D. Teach in the Davy Tribe’s settlement on God Valley. When Imu-influenced demons attacked the settlement, Lin Nuo held off several attackers to protect her and Teach until Rocks arrived and destroyed them. Alice immediately defended Lin Nuo when Rocks handled the exhausted rescuer roughly, emphasizing that he had saved their lives. 5
After Rocks accepted Lin Nuo as an apprentice crewman, he gave him responsibility for Alice and Teach’s evacuation during the God’s Knights’ ambush. Alice was deeply worried when Rocks remained behind to delay the enemy, while Lin Nuo carried her and Teach away. 6
Kuma later repelled Alice and Teach away from God Valley with the Paw-Paw Fruit, separating them from the central battle. Lin Nuo hoped that keeping Alice and Rocks in Teach’s life could alter Teach’s future. 8
West Blue Captivity and Rescue
Alice and Teach landed near a peninsula with other God Valley survivors and joined a temporary camp established with local help. The camp was later attacked by kidnappers, and Alice and Teach were taken aboard Captain Walker’s ship. 17
Walker threatened Teach’s life to coerce Alice into submitting to him. Alice offered herself in exchange for Teach’s safety, but resisted her captor when cornered, injuring and humiliating Walker before Hans intervened. 15 16
Lin Nuo rescued Alice and Teach at White Shell Town, surrounding them with harmless blue flames that soothed and healed their injuries. Afterward, Alice told him that Ginny and Ivankov had left the refugee camp for Tenpan City, while Kuma had not appeared among the survivors she knew. 17
Voyage of the *White Shell*
The mayor of White Shell Town gave Lin Nuo the White Shell, a maintained two-masted vessel with charts and sailing equipment. Alice agreed to depart with Lin Nuo and Teach, beginning their journey together. 18
Although Rocks had originally entrusted her and Teach to Lin Nuo’s protection, Alice rejected being treated as a burden or merely as her husband’s family. She took the helm herself and asked Lin Nuo to continue travelling with them as companions. 21
Alice remained aboard the White Shell while Lin Nuo and Moria infiltrated Tenpan City, maintaining communications through Transponder Snails and safeguarding Teach and the ship offshore. 22
After the Tenpan City rescue, she reunited with Lin Nuo, Ivankov, Ginny, Kuma, and Moria and continued the voyage as part of the newly assembled White Shell crew. 38
Grand Line Journey
During the White Shell’s accidental entry into the Calm Belt, Alice helped repair a breached section of the hull alongside Teach, Kuma, Ivankov, and Moria. Their patch was only temporary, leaving the ship in need of professional repairs. 41
At Whiskey Peak, Lin Nuo assigned Alice, Moria, and Teach to sell Sea King materials and acquire supplies while the others sought shipwrights and investigated local leads. 49
Personality
Alice is composed and resilient in crises. During the attack on her home, captivity aboard Walker’s ship, and the White Shell’s flooding, she focused on survival and practical action rather than panic. 5 16 41
Her strongest priority is Teach’s safety. She endured Walker’s threats to protect her son, fought back when possible, and remained a calming presence for him after their rescue. 15 17 21
Alice is also independent and direct. She refuses to let Lin Nuo define their relationship solely through Rocks’s order, insisting that she can steer, navigate, and contribute as an equal companion. 21
“Let's continue traveling as companions.” — Alice to Lin Nuo 21
