"Ha ha ha ha ha—!" The Evil Orca King laughed so hard his entire body shook. "Did you hear that? This little runt said he could hurt me with one punch! With that tiny fist of his, not even as big as one of my teeth!"
The Evil Spirit Orcas behind him burst into laughter as well, their cackles rising and falling across the sea.
A few laughed so hard that they rolled over, their white bellies facing the sky like overturned watermelons.
Jiang Lan's little face flushed bright red, and the hood of his penguin onesie puffed up slightly with anger. Doro, beside him, was even angrier. Her whole dumpling-like body swelled a size, and even the bow ribbons atop her bun stood upright. "Jiang Lan! Hit him! Use the Orange I gave you to hit him!"
"No Orange!" Jiang Lan clenched his tiny fist. "I can beat him myself!"
The Evil Orca King had finally laughed enough. He lowered his head and looked down at Jiang Lan with an eye larger than Jiang Lan's entire body, his gaze full of mockery and disdain.
"Kid, don't say this king bullies children." He sank his enormous body slightly into the water, exposing his broad back. "Come on, I'll let you hit me. Hit me a hundred times. If I move even once, you win. I'll pretend none of this happened today and let you go."
"King!" An Evil Spirit Orca beside him hurriedly spoke up. "Isn't that a little—"
"Shut up!" The Evil Orca King glared at him. "I just want this brat to understand what it means to overestimate himself. A hundred punches, hit me however you like. When you're done, hurry back to your mother crying for milk!"
Jiang Lan looked at him, blinked, and his expression became somewhat strange.
"Mister, are you sure?" His tone was extremely serious. "I really will hit you."
"Hit me! Hit me right here!" The Evil Orca King pointed at his hardest head with a fin. "Use all your strength! Let this king see what the little brat from Sea God Island is really made of!"
Jiang Lan turned and glanced at Doro.
Doro looked at him. A faint, nearly imperceptible gleam flashed through her large eyes before she solemnly nodded.
Jiang Lan took a deep breath and walked over to the Evil Orca King.
He lowered his head to look at his chubby little fist, then raised it to look at the orca head before him, larger than his entire body.
Honestly, in all his life, he had never seen such a ridiculously cheap request.
"Take this punch!"
For this punch, Jiang Lan used only pure physical strength.
Watching Jiang Lan's pitifully tiny fist, the Evil Orca King curled his lips into a mocking grin.
He even had the leisure to glance sideways at his clansmen, ready to laugh at the little runt after his punch landed, then toss these two little things back to the entrance of Sea God Island so Bo Saixi would understand what true embarrassment looked like.
The instant that punch landed, the entire sea surface caved sharply downward around the Evil Orca King's head, forming a massive crater dozens of meters across.
The seawater had no time to flee. It was pinned in place by the pressure of the punch, forming a vertical wall of water.
Then the shockwave hit.
The surrounding Evil Spirit Orcas were blown apart like bowling pins, tumbling through the air for dozens of meters before crashing into the sea in sprays of white foam.
As for the Evil Orca King, struck head-on, he only felt as if a meteor had fallen from the sky and smashed into his head.
His vision blurred completely in that instant, and then he saw light.
A warm, brilliant light shone down from the direction of the sea surface.
Within that light was the coral reef where he had been born, the blood spray from the first seal he had ever caught, the roar he had given when he defeated the previous Evil Orca King, and his long-dead mother.
His mother stood in the light, smiling and waving to him, her lips moving as she said something.
"Why did you come so early?"
The Evil Orca King's eyes grew moist.
He had never imagined that today, he would be sent on his way by a single punch from a six-year-old human child.
A hundred thousand years of cultivation, and in the end, he could not even withstand one punch from a child.
What Evil Orca King, what Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, what ruler of the seas—it was all a joke.
He slowly stretched out a fin, wanting to touch his mother's figure, and then the entire world went dark.
The Evil Orca King's enormous body swayed twice on the sea surface before collapsing with a crash like a mountain whose foundation had been hollowed out.
His eyes rolled white, his mouth hung slightly open, his tongue dangled outside, and he floated belly-up on the sea, rising and falling with the waves.
The surrounding Evil Spirit Orcas fell completely silent.
They stared at their king, who had dominated these waters, now floating on the surface like a dead fish. The indentation of the punch on his head was clearly visible.
"..."
Not a single Evil Spirit Orca dared to say a word.
Their gazes all turned toward Jiang Lan, who still held up his little fist. The terror in their eyes was almost tangible. This little runt in a penguin outfit had turned their king into this with one punch.
This was a six-year-old?!
What kind of six-year-old looked like this?!
Did Sea God Island raise children or monsters?!
Jiang Lan lowered his head and looked at his fist, then at the Evil Orca King floating on the sea, his condition unknown. He turned back to Doro with an exceptionally innocent expression.
"Doro, I really only used physical strength. I didn't even use Soul Power."
Doro floated beside Jiang Lan and stared at the punch mark on the Evil Orca King's head for three seconds.
"It's shattered."
"I... I didn't use any force!" Jiang Lan panicked so badly that the hood of his penguin outfit flared up. "I just threw a normal punch! I didn't add even a tiny bit of Soul Power! I didn't even eat Orange! It was just a completely normal punch using pure physical strength!"
Doro lowered her head and looked at the indentation again.
It was deep enough to stuff an entire Jiang Lan inside with room to spare.
"Your physical strength seems to be a different concept from that of ordinary humans." Doro tried to sound as tactful as possible. "Do you want to remember that time you carried a Great White Shark when you were five?"
"That Great White Shark only had six hundred years of cultivation!" Jiang Lan retorted righteously. "This one has a hundred thousand years!"
The Evil Spirit Orcas nearby collectively sucked in a cold breath.
A six-hundred-year Great White Shark... only?
Carried... at five?
They could understand every word that came out of this child's mouth, but when put together, those words became something beyond the boundaries of comprehension.
Jiang Lan did not notice the terrified looks in the surrounding Evil Spirit Orcas' eyes at all. He jumped down from the Evil Orca King's slippery nose, landed on the sea surface, then ran to the Evil Orca King's mouth and patted his exposed tongue with his little hand.
"Mister? Mister, wake up! I only threw one punch! There are still ninety-nine punches left!"
The unconscious Evil Orca King's body suddenly convulsed.
It was impossible to tell whether it was from the pat or from being frightened by the words "ninety-nine punches."
Doro silently lit a candle in her heart for the Evil Orca King.
