Doro was so anxious that he kept spinning around, raising his two little arms high, wanting to be held too.

Xiao Wu glanced down at it, then squatted down with a smile, putting one arm around Jiang Lan and pulling Doro into her arms with the other.

Doro! You're here too! Did you miss me?

"Doro!"

The gist of it is. "Relax a little, I can't breathe."

Xiao Wu, holding the human and the soul, rolled around and around on the grass by the lake, covering Jiang Lan's Penguin Suit with grass clippings and flower petals, and getting several burrs stuck to Doro's white fur.

After they had rolled around enough, Xiao Wu finally let go of them, sat up, placed Jiang Lan on her lap, and carefully examined his face with both hands.

"You haven't changed." Xiao Wu's tone was exactly the same as Ning Rongrong's back then. "You haven't grown taller, your face hasn't changed, not even the size of your cheeks."

"I'm level 65," Jiang Lan said.

Xiao Wu's hand paused for a moment.

Sixty-five?

"Um."

Xiao Wu stared at him for a while, then pulled him into her arms and rested her chin on his head.

"Abnormal."

You didn't used to yell at me like that.

You weren't sixty-five before.

Jiang Lan chuckled softly in her arms.

Xiao Wu let go of Doro, looked at it again, and reached out to rub its head. Doro rubbed against her palm and let out a comfortable purr.

"Come on, let's go to my place." Xiao Wu stood up, took Jiang Lan's hand with one hand, and carried Doro with the other, walking along the lake shore towards the Wooden House.

When Jiang Lan reached the Wooden House, she saw Er Ming.

The Titan Giant Ape was crouching in a clearing behind the Wooden House, its massive body curled up in a ball, clumsily whittling a stick with one of its huge hands. It was whittling very intently, each stroke careful, as if afraid of over-whittling.

Xiao Wu walked over and patted Er Ming's arm.

"Er Ming, look who's here."

Er Ming raised his head, blinked his huge eyes, and saw Jiang Lan and Doro standing next to Xiao Wu.

Its hand trembled, and the wooden stick fell to the ground.

Er Ming's eyes widened suddenly, his entire ape body shrank back, and he subconsciously raised a hand to shield his head.

Jiang Lan waved her little hand at it. "Er Ming, long time no see."

Er Ming peeked out from behind his palm, looked at Jiang Lan for a while, and only after realizing that Jiang Lan really didn't intend to hit him did he slowly lower his palm.

"That was a misunderstanding." Jiang Lan walked up to it and patted the finger it was resting on the ground. "Didn't I ask Doro to give you Ju Zi later?"

Er Ming looked down at the little guy slapping his fingers, remained silent for a moment, then exhaled a puff of hot air from his nose, as if to say he had forgiven him.

Xiao Wu was laughing so hard she couldn't stand up straight.

"Alright, alright, stop standing at the door." Xiao Wu pushed Jiang Lan and Doro into the Wooden House. "Come in, I'll make you something delicious."

The Wooden House was simply furnished with a low table, a few straw mats, and some dried herbs and wild fruits piled in the corner. Hanging on the wall were several strings of dried meat strips and a row of small baskets woven from rattan, filled with mushrooms and nuts of various colors.

Jiang Lan climbed onto the straw mat next to the low table and placed Doro beside her. Xiao Wu started a fire on the small stove in front of the Wooden House, boiled water, washed the mushrooms that had fallen on the ground, and cut a few slices of dried meat into the pot.

"Sister Xiao Wu, do you live here alone?" Jiang Lan asked.

"Er Ming, come with me." Xiao Wu said without turning her head, "It lives in the back."

What about the Da Ming?

"Da Ming comes back occasionally," Xiao Wu, stirring the soup in the pot with a wooden spoon. "He's been cultivating deep in the forest lately and doesn't come out much."

Jiang Lan nodded without asking any further questions.

Xiao Wu cooked the soup, served three bowls: one for Jiang Lan, one for Doro, and one for herself.

The soup was made with mushrooms and meat strips, and it tasted incredibly delicious. Jiang Lan took a sip, and her eyes lit up.

"Delicious!"

"Of course." Xiao Wu proudly raised her chin. "I've lived here for so long, I've even improved my cooking skills."

The three people sat around a low table, drinking soup.

Jiang Lan drank two bowls, Doro drank one and a half bowls, and Xiao Wu added another half bowl for Jiang Lan.

After finishing his drink, Jiang Lan put down the bowl, wiped his mouth, and looked at Xiao Wu.

Jiang Lan asked with some curiosity, "Sister Xiao Wu, why did you leave back then?"

As Jiang Lan was speaking, Doro left the house and went outside.

Doro sat down on the stone steps in front of the Wooden House, took out an Ju Zi from under his belly with his little hands, and slowly peeled it.

Xiao Wu's voice could be faintly heard from inside the room, as she spoke about something she was reluctant to talk about.

Doro doesn't have a habit of eavesdropping; it just felt stuffy in the room and wanted to come out for some fresh air.

The Ju Zi was being peeled halfway when it suddenly stopped.

A golden light flashed briefly in the depths of the woods on the opposite shore of the lake.

The light was fast, like the eye of something reflecting the setting sun in the darkness.

Doro raised his head, his big purple eyes fixed in that direction, his little hands clutching half an Ju Zi.

Something is moving in the shadows of the trees.

The thing slowly emerged from the woods, its footsteps making a very soft rustling sound as it stepped on the pebbles along the lake shore.

Doro got a clear look at it.

With golden fur, its entire body seemed like a translucent crystal, full of a strange texture.

Its overall shape resembles a lion, but its four claws are like those of a dragon, with a ball of golden flame beneath each Dragon Claw.

Its mouth was also longer than that of lion-type Soul Beast, and beneath its fur appeared to be fine, dense golden scales.

In addition to his normal eyes, he has a vertical pupil in the middle of his forehead, but the pupil is closed.

Three-Eyed Golden Lion.

The Emperor Auspicious Beast of the Star Dou Great Forest, only one exists on the entire continent.

Doro stared at it for a couple of moments, then pulled another Ju Zi out from under its belly.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion was also watching it.

Having lived for so many years, it had seen all kinds of Soul Beast, but it had never seen such a round, white creature that could peel Ju Zi and eat them before.

"Doro."

Doro barked at it as a greeting.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion did not respond.

It slowly walked towards Doro, its steps elegant and composed.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion walked up to Doro, looked down at the Ju Zi, and then looked up at Doro.

Then it stretched out its front paw and patted the Ju Zi in Doro's hand.

The Ju Zi rolled out of Doro's hand, bounced twice on the ground, and rolled into the lake.

Doro was stunned.

It looked down at its empty paws, then looked up at the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, its large purple eyes slowly welling up with tears.

Then it pounced.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion clearly hadn't expected the sphere to launch an attack.

Doro rammed it headfirst into the chest, and the two Soul Beast rolled together, tumbling from the grassy shore all the way to the Shallow Water, splashing water everywhere.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion rolled over and stood up, shaking off the water, a hint of annoyance in its expression.

Doro climbed out of the water, shook off his soaking fur, and stood firmly on his short legs in the shallow water. His large purple eyes were fixed on the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, and he let out an angry shout, "Doro!"

The gist of it is: You owe me Ju Zi.
