Nature

Restrictions are supernatural seals, wards, and internal control structures. They may be inscribed into Magical Artifacts, deployed as barriers or formations, or imposed directly upon people and places to regulate power, perception, movement, and access. Their functions range from controlling an artifact’s power to sealing Magic Power, creating illusions, concealing auras, or trapping intruders. 153 305 545 832

Artifact Restrictions

Within Magical Artifacts, Restrictions function as internal layers of refinement and control. A cultivator must refine or breach them to unlock an artifact’s abilities; deeper layers can remain inaccessible when the user’s cultivation or Magic Power is insufficient. 153 622

Functions

• Power sealing — Restrictions can suppress a cultivator’s Magic Power and prevent the use of Magical Artifacts, as seen when Shen Luo’s Magic Power was confined in his Dantian and meridians. 305 457 1233

Breaching Methods and Limitations

• Gradual refinement can succeed where force fails. Shen Luo breached the Golden Cord’s outer restriction by surrounding and infiltrating it with Magic Power rather than attacking directly. 153
• Raw force is unreliable. Shen Luo’s strongest Heaven-Rending Chaotic Staff attack could heavily damage but not permanently break the Tidal-Sound Cave barrier, which rapidly restored itself. 831
• Specialized tools can counter Restrictions. Essence-Devouring Gu were particularly effective at breaking them, enabling Shen Luo to shatter his blue prison alongside the Mysterious Yellow Unity Staff. 832
• Formation knowledge is decisive. Shen Luo’s Restriction-Breaking Formation penetrated the Ginkgo Divine Tree’s defenses more effectively than Mount He Sect’s Restriction-Breaking Pearl alone. 1182 1185
