An Inexplicable Visit

After taking care of his own affairs, Huo Hai seemed to have time to relax. Ji Mu had left to complete a mission and had not returned for several days. Of course, she was in no great danger; of that, Huo Hai was fairly certain.

Even Yun'er seemed to have taken on a few missions, tedious ones within the Academy. Huo Hai did not mind the lost cultivation time. Yun'er was practicing the Huo Family's Foundational Spirit Art, which was not particularly effective for Foundation Establishment. Rather than search for rare treasures to make up for it later, she would be better off practicing a superior Foundational Spirit Art.

Huo Hai did not have a Foundational Spirit Art suited to a Spell Spirit Master, so he could only wait and see whether the Academy had one. If that failed, he would wait until the Lineage had deciphered the Mysterious Shadow Art and ask them to send him a copy.

There was no hurry. He sent Yun'er off to do Academy missions that would earn a few points. Huo Hai, meanwhile, found himself with nothing to do again. Until he had fully recuperated, he could not cultivate recklessly.
