Grace raised her fist at Werther again, making it clear she would never abandon her daughter in the Forest.
"You're the bad guy! You're the one who should be left to fend for yourself in the Forest."
A little red-haired girl stood at the foot of Werther's bed, glaring at him with puffed cheeks.
"This must be your daughter. Hello, I'm Werther."
But the little red-haired girl ignored him. She gave a huff, turned her head away, and refused to look at him again.
"This is my daughter, Lisa. She's eight this year.
"Lisa, say hello to him. Don't be so rude."
Lisa reluctantly turned back, her cheeks still puffed out.
"Hello, big brother. Enjoy being stuck in bed."
Werther's brow twitched. He could practically feel the bratty energy rolling off her. She might be even harder to handle than Anita.
Thinking of Anita startled Werther. He had just remembered something.

He struggled to lift his Pocket Watch, then rummaged through it. Before long, he found a bottle of S Drug that Tuski had made.
