As the two of them talked, Doffy hurried into the courtyard.
"Werther, something's happened."
Werther saw the look on Doffy's face and knew it had to be serious.
"What is it? Is Blackbeard planning to attack Dressrosa?"
Blackbeard was Werther's first thought. Nothing mattered more to him right now than getting revenge.
"No. Aokiji betrayed us and destroyed one of our bases. It happened so suddenly that all we got from there was word of his betrayal. Nothing else."
Werther's expression darkened. He had brought Aokiji into the Underworld, and the man had already turned on them.
Doffy had only agreed to let Aokiji into the Underworld as a favor to Werther.
Werther had agreed because he knew Aokiji would join the Blackbeard Pirates a year from now. If the man could join them, Werther had figured he would behave himself in the Underworld.
