Just as Werther invaded Bacaster Island, another group took the opportunity to land.
They chose a very different approach. Instead of making a grand entrance, they came ashore quietly in a grove near the coast.
Their Leader had markings on his chin and chest, a hooked nose, and a black mask around his eyes. He wore a medieval swordsman's hat, with a four-bladed axe at one hip and a Rapier at the other.
A crewman behind him asked in a whisper,
"Captain, is this island really a secret Marine base? Won't the Marines surround us here? If they trap us on this island, we're finished."
The Leader thought for a moment.
"It'll be fine. I saw Kizaru leave the island with my own eyes. Besides, whatever's on this island has to be destroyed. Otherwise, there'll be no place left for Pirates on these seas."
The group continued sneaking inland.
Werther, meanwhile, found things strange. He had been wandering the island for ages, yet not a single Marine had tried to stop him. Had the Marines all grown that sensible?
