The warship had suffered severe damage from the aftermath of Wuli and Zoro's battle.
But the Marines could only stare blankly at the two men, swallowing hard as they felt that both of them were far too strong.
Zoro glanced at Luffy, who was still out of it, then prepared to attack Wuli again.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps stepping through the air rang out overhead, breaking the brief silence in the tense atmosphere.
The Marines aboard the warship all looked over and saw someone stepping through the air toward the ship.
There was nothing unusual about that, since the Navy's Six Powers, Geppo, could accomplish the same thing.
Of course, it couldn't be a Marine, because the person had come from the direction of the Straw Hat Pirates' ship.
The newcomer landed on the warship. Once the Marines saw his face clearly, they all cried out in alarm, "Black Leg Sanji of the Straw Hat Pirates!"
"What do we do? Straw Hat hasn't made another move, and there's only Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro. Colonel Wuli is already struggling in battle, and now another pirate has arrived. This is bad."
"Yeah, this situation is way too unfavorable!"
The Marines began to grow nervous. Even Colonel Shu prepared himself for battle, watching Sanji warily.
Dressed in a suit and looking every bit the gentleman, Sanji lit a cigarette and surveyed the situation aboard the warship.
With one hand in his pocket and a cigarette between the fingers of the other, his gaze fell on Luffy, who was still out of it.
Then he turned to Zoro, took a light drag from his cigarette, and said calmly, "Mosshead, what's going on? You've taken this long and still haven't finished him. What, can't you beat him either? Were you waiting for my support?"
Hearing Sanji's words, Zoro turned to glare at him, veins bulging on his forehead as he snapped, "Huh? Damn cook, who do you think I am? Do I look like the kind of person who waits for someone else to rescue him? Don't compare me to you. You can't measure up to me."
He then looked at Wuli, his expression turning somewhat serious. "I'm almost done over here! By the way, what were Nami and the others yelling about earlier? It distracted me during the fight!"
Sanji saw Zoro's serious expression and curiously glanced at Wuli before saying, "I came here because of that. There isn't time for you to keep fighting!"
"Hm?" Zoro asked in confusion.
"Nami said an extremely abnormal storm is about to appear, worse than anything we've ever encountered. Things are bad right now. If you and Luffy don't get back to the ship, we probably won't make it out of its path in time."
Of course Zoro believed Sanji's words, since Nami, their navigator, had said it.
When it came to navigation, her instincts were unmatched. She had never been wrong, and it was because of her that they had escaped danger after danger against the forces of nature during their voyages.
Looking at Sanji's arrival, Wuli thought to himself, Sanji! The Straw Hat Pirates' cook! Another familiar face. I wonder what his cooking tastes like. I really want to try it!
But!
Zoro turned to look at Wuli and tightened his grip on his swords. The current situation couldn't be ignored either, leaving him torn for a moment.
"I can't leave yet. I have to defeat him before I can go!" Zoro suddenly said.
"Why? Why aren't we leaving now? Everyone's waiting for us to return," Sanji asked doubtfully.
What's with this guy? He's acting strange. And Luffy is standing silently off to the side—that's even stranger.
