Ch. 241Kuro Joins
Plot points and events
- Kuro is bound and tortured by Prince Rambo, who intends to abuse him. Rambo has Kuro’s clothes removed and prepares to strike him with a red-hot whip while Kuro stands on a block of ice.
- Ye Chen arrives, killing three guards in quick succession before confronting Rambo. He reveals his identity, then kills the prince with a shot of white light.
- Ye Chen teases Kuro and makes him formally ask for help. As more guards approach, he breaks Kuro’s chains, kicks him out a window, and catches him before he hits the ground.
- Ye Chen escapes with Kuro into the woods, evading the pursuing hounds. Once they are safe, he invites Kuro to join the Grim Reaper Pirates. Kuro accepts, and they clasp hands.
- Rambo’s death enrages his father, Saint Mustard, who learns that a guard sent by Prince Murray was responsible and heads for the temple with his men.

- Ye Chen shows his deadly skill and composure under pressure. Though he rescues Kuro, he deliberately makes him ask politely and treats the escape with irreverent humor.
- Prince Rambo is revealed to have an intense, complicated fixation on Ye Chen: seeing him brings both excitement and terror. Ye Chen’s attack ends his life before he can carry out his threat.
- Saint Mustard enters the conflict as a grieving, furious father, setting up further consequences for the crew.
