Arc 5The Human Race Ascendant

Feng Xu expanded human influence through new cities, laws, education, and ties with demons and dragons, then attended Nüwa’s sermon and learned his place in the world’s fate. He refused the Heavenly Dao Sage’s seat and refined two new Supreme Treasures with Nüwa.

  • Feng Xu defeated the Witch General with Feng Xu’s Blood Saber formation, and Houtu then ordered Kuafu to rebuild the damaged settlement and serve a hundred years of labor reform.
  • Feng Xu guided Houtu through the Human Academy, proposed teaching the Witches names, characters, and Martial Dao, and organized roads, cities, and farming projects.
  • Feng Xu chose penal labor and then a new coastal city for Jiang Ming and Chen Zhu, establishing a place where humans and demons could coexist under tailored laws.
  • Ao Qin found Chen Zhu in Heavensea City, and the Dragon Queen and East Sea Dragon Clan joined the city as humans and demons settled there.
  • Feng Xu advised Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor to build the Demon Race through cultivation, laws, and regulated cities rather than rush into war with the Witches.
  • Feng Xu won the Martial Arts Tournament, then urged the human, Witch, and Demon leaders to cooperate while advising Yun Tian to expand human influence through trade and mixed cities.
  • Nüwa became a Sage and invited Feng Xu to sit beside her at her sermon, where he advanced to the Golden Immortal realm and learned the Dao of creation.
  • Nüwa revealed Feng Xu’s origins and offered him a Heavenly Dao Sage’s seat, but Feng Xu refused and learned that he could contend for the powers of world destruction and creation.
  • Feng Xu and Nüwa refined his Baleful Core and Record of the Great Wilderness into two Supreme Treasures, bringing his total to four.

Ch. 101Humans and Witches Unite to Resist a Common Foe

Yun Tian and Huang fought to protect the Northern Wilderness from an invading Witch tribe, but their forces were overwhelmed until Sifu and Feng Xu joined the battle. Feng Xu took Sifu’s Blood Sabers and began demonstrating the Small Thousand Sword Formation.

  • A Witch General led Mysterious Immortal Witches in destroying the crops, defeated Huang and Yun Tian’s forces, and drove them back toward the Great Wilderness.
  • After the Witch tribe found the human settlement days later, Yun Tian and Huang fought them again, but the Witch General knocked Huang down and prepared to kill him.
  • Sifu saved Huang by transforming with his Life-Bound Gu, while Yun Tian used five enormous swords from a distant valley to attack the Witches.
  • Huang recovered and joined Yun Tian and Sifu against the Witch General, but the three were unable to defeat him.
  • Feng Xu arrived and restrained the invading Witches with the Heavenly Net and Earthly Web, then borrowed Sifu’s Seventy-Two Blood Sabers.
  • Feng Xu formed a Sword Formation with the Blood Sabers and told Sifu to watch the Small Thousand Sword Formation.

Ch. 102The Great Witch Kuafu

Feng Xu fought off Kuafu’s Witches until the Great Witch’s overwhelming power left him helpless, but Houtu intervened and ended the conflict. After ordering Kuafu to help repair the damage and serve a hundred years of reform through labor, Houtu went with Feng Xu to visit the Human Academy.

  • Feng Xu used his Blood Saber formation and Primordial Baleful True Form to defeat the Witch General, but Kuafu arrived and suppressed everyone with his Daluo Golden Immortal power.
  • Houtu appeared, broke Kuafu’s pressure, and ordered him to rebuild the damaged homes and rice paddies and undergo a hundred years of reform through labor.
  • Houtu introduced Feng Xu and Kuafu, identified Feng Xu as the Human Ancestor, and commanded Kuafu to treat him with respect and obey him for the next hundred years.
  • Houtu told Yun Tian to manage the Witches and punish any who disobeyed, then asked Feng Xu to show her the Human Academy.
  • Feng Xu and Houtu arrived at the Academy’s main gates and went inside to look around.

Ch. 103Teaching without discrimination

Feng Xu showed Houtu the Northern Wilderness Academy’s agricultural projects and explained why the Human Race invested in feeding ordinary people. Their conversation turned to the Witches and Demon Race, and Feng Xu assessed the Demon Race’s internal divisions before Houtu asked whether the Human Race’s methods could help govern the Witches.

  • Feng Xu led Houtu through the Academy’s experimental fields and described rice hybrids that could raise yields to twenty thousand jin per mu.
  • Feng Xu explained that abundant food would support future population growth and that ordinary people formed the foundation of the Human Race.
  • When Houtu asked about the Witches and the Demon Race, Feng Xu said the Witches were straightforward while the Demon Race was cunning and had preyed on humans.
  • Feng Xu argued that the Demon Race’s many conflicting groups and its plan to unite against the Witches would not resolve its internal problems before war brought losses.
  • Houtu asked whether the Human Race’s methods could work for the Witches, and Feng Xu replied that every living being could be taught and civilized.

Ch. 104The twelve elders of the Great Wilderness

Feng Xu and Houtu planned to educate the Witches through shared human writing and the Martial Dao, while arranging a yearly tournament to encourage discipline and peaceful relations. At the first elders’ meeting, Feng Xu assigned development projects, and the Great Wilderness’s infrastructure campaign began.

  • Feng Xu persuaded Houtu to give the Witches names, teach them human characters, and use the Martial Dao to cultivate restraint and virtue.
  • Feng Xu proposed an annual Martial Arts Tournament between humans and Witches, and Houtu agreed to help arrange it.
  • At the first elders’ meeting, Feng Xu assigned the twelve elders plans for road building, city construction, supplies, and Flying Boat power.
  • Feng Xu directed Yun Tian to have the newly arrived Witches build roads and coordinate with Houtu and Lin Sen.
  • Fifteen days later, Flying Boats delivered farming machines, workers and Witches began clearing land, and infrastructure construction officially started.

Ch. 105Zhu'er

Hong Ran escorted Jiang Ming and the demon Zhu'er toward the Great Wilderness for Hong Tao's promotion application, but caught Jiang Ming protecting Zhu'er after she killed several people. After Lin Feng arranged an investigation and sent letters to the lord and Feng Xu, Feng Xu learned of Jiang Ming's involvement and reacted angrily.

  • Hong Tao sent Hong Ran to the Great Wilderness to seek approval for his promotion to lord, with Lin Feng and Jiang Ming serving as guides.
  • Hong Ran stopped Zhu'er from being killed after Jiang Ming rescued her, then captured them both and ordered an investigation into the deaths.
  • Jiang Ming said Zhu'er had killed local thugs who caused her adoptive parents' deaths, and Lin Feng and Hong Ran each sent someone to investigate.
  • Lin Feng wrote to the lord and secretly informed Feng Xu about Jiang Ming and Zhu'er.
  • Feng Xu read Lin Feng's letter at Mistveil Peak and shouted angrily about Jiang Ming getting involved with a demon.

Ch. 106The new city of the Great Wilderness

Lin Feng brought Hong Ran from Jiangcheng County to Central Wilderness City, where Hong Ran marveled at the Great Wilderness’s rapid development and met Yun Tian. In the Southern Sea, a woman sensed her lost child’s bloodline awakening and ordered Ao Qin to find the child.

  • Lin Feng escorted Hong Ran and the captive Jiang Ming and Zhu'er through Jiangcheng County, where Hong Ran questioned the county magistrate about the city’s new roads, buildings, and vehicles.
  • Lin Feng took Hong Ran to explore and arranged new clothes for him after the guesthouse manager reprimanded an attendant for insulting the commander.
  • Lin Feng and Hong Ran traveled by Flying Boat to Central Wilderness City, where Hong Ran saw its vast streets, flying vehicles, and Intercom Box.
  • Yun Tian welcomed Hong Ran, while Ni Shang and the fleet’s workers inventoried the cargo; Yun Tian suggested Hong Ran rest before considering his promotion petition.
  • A woman in the Southern Sea felt her lost child’s bloodline stir and shouted for Ao Qin to bring the child back.

Ch. 107Feng Xu's Test

Feng Xu investigated Chen Zhu’s past and tested whether she and Jiang Ming would sacrifice themselves for each other, then decided to release them without charges. He discovered Chen Zhu had dragon horns, raising the possibility that she was connected to the Dragon Race.

  • Feng Xu reviewed reports about Chen Zhu, learning that she had lived peacefully among humans until thugs killed her adoptive father and she killed them in a burst of grief.
  • Lin Feng suggested expelling Chen Zhu, but Feng Xu instead proposed lifelong penal labor for her and Jiang Ming, then tested them by claiming only one could live.
  • Chen Zhu volunteered to die for Jiang Ming, and Jiang Ming chose Chen Zhu, accepting that he might die so she could live.
  • Feng Xu reunited the pair in a cell and told Lin Feng that he would release them without charges, though he had not decided what would happen next.
  • Feng Xu realized Chen Zhu’s horns were dragon horns and suspected she might have ties to the Dragon Race.

Ch. 108Jiang Ming's New Task

Feng Xu freed Jiang Ming and Chen Zhu from the dungeon by expelling Jiang Ming from the Human Race in name and appointing him to establish a city where humans and demons could live together. He left the story preparing a meeting to draft the city’s laws, despite Yun Tian’s concern that Feng Xu’s master and people in the south might oppose the plan.

  • Yun Tian reported that Hong Tao had united more than two hundred commanders’ territories and submitted their taxes and tribute to Feng Xu.
  • Feng Xu told Yun Tian he was still considering Jiang Ming’s case and learned that his master was coming from the Southern Wilderness.
  • Feng Xu offered to release Jiang Ming and Chen Zhu if Jiang Ming surrendered his Human Race membership and assets, prompting Lin Feng to challenge the decision.
  • Feng Xu proposed that Jiang Ming lead a new city near the shore, where humans and demons would coexist, and Jiang Ming accepted.
  • Feng Xu ordered a meeting in three days to discuss the city’s laws, with Jiang Ming representing the city and Chen Zhu representing the Demon Race.
  • Yun Tian questioned Feng Xu’s plan, and Feng Xu explained that peaceful relations were needed because the Human Race could not withstand a powerful demon.

Ch. 109Losing out is a blessing

Feng Xu defended the new city's lenient rules for demons as a way to preserve human power while avoiding entanglement with the Dragon Race's karmic burden. Yun Tian left troubled by Feng Xu's willingness to sacrifice even friends for the Human Race, while Houtu received news of Jiang Ming's plan to coexist peacefully with demons and reacted with anger.

  • Feng Xu and the officials finalized laws for the new city that gave demons lighter penalties and basic-supply subsidies, prompting Yun Da to object.
  • Sifu confronted Feng Xu over the rules, but Feng Xu explained that humans would retain an advantage in government and that competition could turn public opinion against demons.
  • Yun Da recognized that humans were accepting short-term disadvantages in exchange for greater benefits, and his resentment faded.
  • Yun Tian asked why Jiang Ming had to sever ties with the Human Race, and Feng Xu explained that Chen Zhu might be connected to the Southern Sea Dragon Race and its karmic burden.
  • Feng Xu told Yun Tian that a future ruler must be willing to sacrifice anyone for the Human Race, leaving Yun Tian shaken.
  • Houtu read a letter reporting that Jiang Ming wanted peaceful coexistence with demons and snorted coldly.

Ch. 110The New City Plan

Feng Xu proposed building new cities beyond the Great Wilderness, including one near the Southern Sea where humans and demons could coexist, and secured the commanders’ envoys’ agreement. The delegations accepted the plan, and Feng Xu invited them to the upcoming Martial Arts Tournament.

  • Feng Xu told Hong Ran that he planned to build a new city near the Southern Sea and invite demons to live there; Hong Ran agreed after Feng Xu offered to approve Hong Tao’s promotion to Lord.
  • Feng Xu visited Houtu, who accepted the plan and promised that powerful threats to humanity could be lured to the Northern Wilderness.
  • Feng Xu proposed the Southern Sea city to the commanders’ envoys, and Hong Ran spoke in favor of coexistence, softening the others’ opposition.
  • Feng Xu announced plans for additional human cities in the Eastern Sea and Southern Plains, and clarified that the new cities would not be Human Race territory.
  • The envoys agreed to the proposal, and Feng Xu invited them to attend the Martial Arts Tournament after the autumn harvest.

Ch. 111Martial Arts Tournament

The Great Wilderness held its ten-year Martial Arts Tournament, where Zhan Yi won the individual championship and the Central Wilderness won the team competition. After the delegations departed, construction began on three cities for humans and demons to coexist, while Ao Qin left the South Sea Dragon Palace to search personally for his missing child.

  • Feng Xu watched Sifu and Kunmu fight, then Yun Tian defeat Iron Mountain, as the tournament’s preliminary matches continued.
  • Zhan Yi won the individual championship, Jinghua placed second, and Li Zeng placed third; the Central Wilderness won the team competition with Yun Tian’s sword formation.
  • Feng Xu officiated a simple wedding for Jiang Ming and Chen Zhu before the delegations left at the start of spring.
  • Jiang Ming took charge of Heavensea City, Kunmu guarded Four Directions City, and Tie Zhao began developing Eastern Sea City.
  • Ao Qin left the South Sea Dragon Palace to search for his recently hatched child after his messengers failed to return with news.

Ch. 112The South Sea Dragon King

Chen Zhu’s horns led the South Sea Dragon King Ao Qin to believe she was his lost daughter, and he entered Heavensea City to find her. After learning she was married to Jiang Ming, Ao Qin concealed his identity and ended the chapter resentful of her husband.

  • While Chen Zhu gathered seafood, a crab demon spotted her horns and reported a possible lost dragon child to the Dragon King.
  • Ao Qin entered Heavensea City disguised as a human and recognized Chen Zhu as the child he had been seeking.
  • Chen Zhu mistook Ao Qin for a scholar and offered him work managing books for the planned Academy.
  • Ao Qin learned that Chen Zhu was married to the city lord, Jiang Ming, and gave his name as Ling Hai.
  • After Chen Zhu left, Ao Qin clenched his fists and questioned whether a mid True Immortal was worthy of marrying his daughter.

Ch. 113Pouring out grievances

Ao Qin told the Dragon Queen that he had found their daughter, who had married Jiang Ming, a human city lord, and she angrily blamed Ao Qin for taking so long to find her. Ao Qin sought advice from Ao Guang, who described the humans’ rapid growth and proposed visiting their city with him.

  • Ao Qin told the Dragon Queen that their daughter was safe but had married a human, and she sent him away in anger before setting out for land.
  • Ao Qin went to the East Sea Dragon Palace and told Ao Guang about his daughter’s marriage to Jiang Ming of Heavensea City.
  • Ao Guang explained that humans were growing in numbers and cultivation, and recounted how one newly advanced Mysterious Immortal had destroyed the demons who attacked them.
  • Ao Qin doubted the account, but Ao Guang urged him to judge the humans by visiting their city.
  • Ao Guang agreed to accompany Ao Qin to a nearby human city, intending to make the humans respect the Dragon Race and treat Ao Qin’s daughter well.

Ch. 114A visit to the Human Race

Feng Xu discovered that Fang Daoyun was Fuxi, who had lived among humans to observe their development, and learned why he had not saved Iron Pillar. Meanwhile, Dragon Kings Ao Guang and Ao Qin visited the Great Wilderness and confronted the Human Race, only to be stopped by Fuxi.

  • Feng Xu questioned Fang Daoyun about his extraordinary Go skill and revealed that he suspected him of being Fuxi.
  • Fuxi transformed and explained that he had entered the Human Race to see how it would develop, then admitted he had been away at the Demon Court when the demons attacked.
  • Ao Guang and Ao Qin toured the Great Wilderness, marveled at human development, and traveled to the Central Wilderness to find the Human Ancestor.
  • Feng Xu and Fuxi prepared a meal for their expected guests on Mistveil Peak.
  • Ao Guang and Ao Qin shouted for the Human Ancestor and used their pressure to immobilize people across the Central Wilderness.
  • Fuxi dispelled the Dragon Kings' pressure and invited them down for a drink, frightening them with his Quasi-Sage power.

Ch. 115The Dragon Race Joins

Feng Xu hosted Ao Guang and Ao Qin, building ties with the Dragon Race through books, education, and a settlement in Heavensea City. The East Sea Dragon Clan joined the city, drawing demons and humans there, while Kunpeng set out to see how the Human Race had developed.

  • Feng Xu discussed Human Race education and cultivation with Ao Guang and Ao Qin, then gave them copies of the Great Luo Book of Law and the Classic of Rites.
  • Ao Guang sent dragon descendants to study and trade in Jianghai City, while Ao Qin went to Heavensea City and found the Dragon Queen living there as Linglong.
  • Ao Qin and the Dragon Queen settled in Heavensea City, where Ao Qin reunited with Chen Zhu and presented himself as Ling Hai, an early True Immortal.
  • The East Sea Dragon Clan moved into Heavensea City, and Jiang Ming appointed a dragon prince deputy city lord as demons and humans began settling there in greater numbers.
  • Kunpeng left the Demon Court and decided to visit the Great Wilderness to see how the Human Race had developed.

Ch. 116Secret experiment

Feng Xu oversaw the first test of the Immortal-Slaying Thunder and redirected the research team toward nuclear energy and spiritual energy projects. After the weapon’s power was demonstrated, Fuxi invited Feng Xu to attend Nüwa’s Dao lecture in Taisu Heaven, and Feng Xu considered whether he should go.

  • Feng Xu rejected banning romance novels outright but ordered unsold copies burned and future printing prohibited, then gave Yun Tian a cabinet proposal to ease his administrative workload.
  • Feng Xu explained that the Immortal-Slaying Thunder was a mundane weapon with limited use against powerful cultivators, assigned most researchers to a new energy project, and introduced spiritual qi to the remaining team.
  • Feng Xu and the researchers watched a missile detonate, destroying a mountain; Feng Xu estimated the blast could kill an unprotected Mysterious Immortal.
  • Fang Daoyun arrived at the test site, and Feng Xu left Yun Tian to manage the remaining work while he spoke privately with Fang Daoyun.
  • Fuxi told Feng Xu that Nüwa would expound the Dao in Taisu Heaven and invited him to attend; Feng Xu wondered whether he should accept the chance to meet the Sage.

Ch. 117Kunpeng's Visit

Kunpeng visited the Human Race and discovered that they had developed a widespread script, then met with Fuxi and Feng Xu to learn it. After two days of study, he left for Taisu Heaven with a copy of Feng Xu’s Great Vehicle Dharma Sutra, having exchanged a Feather Fan for it.

  • Kunpeng arrived in Southern Wilderness City, recognized the Human Race’s universal symbols, and regretted that they had anticipated his plan to create a script for the Demon Race.
  • Kunpeng met Fuxi in Central Wilderness City and asked about a human who could cultivate with baleful qi, and Fuxi brought him to Feng Xu at Mistveil Peak.
  • Feng Xu explained how he had created the human script and taught Kunpeng its characters using the Dictionary.
  • After learning the entire script, Kunpeng studied Feng Xu’s Great Vehicle Dharma Sutra, gave him a Feather Fan, and departed for Taisu Heaven.
  • Feng Xu remarked that the Feather Fan was a generous exchange for the Sutra, whose insights could benefit even a Quasi-Sage.

Ch. 118Drunken Immortal Tower

Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor visited Heavensea City to learn why Kunpeng had taken an interest in the Human Race, and they were impressed by the city’s peaceful human-demon society. After meeting Ao Qin and agreeing to treat him at the Drunken Immortal Tower, they entered the restaurant as its kitchen prepared their feast.

  • Di Jun persuaded the Eastern Emperor to visit the Human Race, and the two explored Heavensea City’s bustling streets, where humans and demons followed the law and traded peacefully.
  • Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor watched a Fish Demon help a lost child and wondered who had made the city’s demons so orderly.
  • The two entered Heavensea Academy and listened as Ao Qin explained to a student that rites and laws restrained desire and prevented endless conflict among demons.
  • Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor introduced themselves to Ao Qin, who agreed to speak with them over a meal at the Drunken Immortal Tower.
  • Ao Qin ordered every signature dish, and the restaurant’s human head cook and his demon apprentices began preparing the feast, with an octopus apprentice using multiple tentacles to handle several ingredients at once.

Ch. 119Membership Card

Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor visited the Great Wilderness, where Feng Xu advised them on the Demon Race’s rivalry with the Witches. Feng Xu warned that redirecting the Demon Race’s internal tensions toward the Witches would make a devastating war inevitable.

  • Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor learned from Ao Qin about Feng Xu’s role in Heavensea City’s development and paid for their costly meal with a Houtian Dharma Treasure.
  • Ao Qin negotiated a restaurant credit for the treasure, and the manager conceived a discounted membership card system for customers who deposited Grain Yuan in advance.
  • Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor traveled through the prosperous Great Wilderness and met Feng Xu and Fuxi while they were fishing.
  • Di Jun asked Feng Xu how the Demon Race could prevail against the Witches, and Feng Xu advised them to stall while the Demon Race grew stronger.
  • Feng Xu explained that Di Jun’s attempts to unite the Demon Race by directing its conflicts against the Witches would make war inevitable and plunge the Primordial World into calamity.

Ch. 120Seeking the Dao in the Great Wilderness

Feng Xu advised Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor on unifying the Demon Race through shared cultivation techniques, Script, laws, and trade, then hosted them as they learned about Human Race society. He worried about the sovereigns meeting Houtu, while the Eastern Emperor assured him the Demon Race would not seek trouble.

  • Feng Xu proposed spreading the Dao through demon cultivation techniques and regulated cities, with laws adapted to different species and enforced equally.
  • Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor accepted Feng Xu's advice, and he offered to arrange copies of techniques and let them visit the Scripture Pavilion after learning Script.
  • Fuxi invited the two demons to remain among the Human Race until spring and watch the autumn Martial Arts Tournament, prompting Feng Xu to worry that Houtu might meet Di Jun.
  • Feng Xu sent a letter to the Northern Wilderness, and Zhan Yi worried that Houtu's return would coincide with the Demon Race's sovereigns visiting the Great Wilderness.
  • Feng Xu taught Di Jun and the Eastern Emperor Script and showed them Human Race cities, where the Eastern Emperor assured him that the Demon Race would behave courteously toward the Witches.

Ch. 121When Witches and Demons met

Feng Xu spent time with Fuxi, Di Jun, the Eastern Emperor, Houtu, and Xuanming before competing in the Martial Arts Tournament. He won the individual championship by using his martial skill and Destruction Law, while the others recognized his growing strength.

  • Houtu and Xuanming joined the group at Mistveil Peak, and Feng Xu prepared a meal as the Witches and demons traded barbed remarks.
  • Feng Xu defeated Iron Mountain and Yun Tian in the tournament, using their matches to expose flaws in their techniques.
  • Feng Xu defeated Jinghua with his Primordial Baleful True Form, then used arrows imbued with Destructive Power to beat Zhan Yi in the final.
  • The Eastern Emperor identified the arrows’ Destructive Power, and Feng Xu accepted the tournament trophy before sitting out the team competition.

Ch. 122A round heaven and a square earth

Feng Xu warned the Witches and Demon Race that their rivalry could ruin both and urged peaceful cooperation with the Human Race. Before leaving for Taisu Heaven with five Quasi-Sages, he arranged reforms for Great Wilderness and set Yun Tian to strengthen the Human Race through population growth, education, research, and trade.

  • Feng Xu told Xuanming, Di Jun, the Eastern Emperor, and Houtu that the Human Race lacked the potential to rival the Witches or Demon Race, while warning that conflict could leave both vulnerable to the Sages' disciples.
  • Houtu and Fuxi eased tensions, and the leaders discussed cooperation between the Witches, Demon Race, and Human Race.
  • Feng Xu warned Yun Tian about the dangers of unchecked regional power and advised using trade, mixed cities, and alternating enfeoffment and centralization to expand human influence.
  • Feng Xu showed Yun Tian Heavensea City's warehouse of goods, assigned him to prioritize population, education, scientific research, and trade, and granted him authority and a share of fortune.
  • After winter passed, Feng Xu traveled toward Taisu Heaven with five Quasi-Sages, reflected on the world's round heaven and square earth, and entered Taisu Heaven through the Chaos Gales.

Ch. 123A Sage Expounds the Dao

Nüwa became a Sage, created Taisu Heaven, and gave a sermon on the Dao of creation and the Dao of Sages. Feng Xu was invited to sit beside her and advanced to the Golden Immortal realm, while the remaining powers stayed behind to discuss their Daos.

  • Nüwa used her creation merit and spiritual treasures to become a Sage and open Taisu Heaven.
  • Feng Xu entered Wa Huang Palace with the leaders of the Witches and demons, where the Three Pure Ones noticed him and Yuanshi Tianzun wondered if he should take him as a disciple.
  • Nüwa invited Feng Xu to sit beside her before beginning her sermon, startling the gathered powers by revealing him as the Human Ancestor.
  • Feng Xu absorbed the Dao resonance of creation and advanced from the Mysterious Immortal realm to the Golden Immortal realm, then partly understood Nüwa's teaching on the Dao of Sages.
  • After Nüwa departed with Feng Xu, Fuxi proposed that the remaining powers discuss the Dao, and Di Jun, the Eastern Emperor, Kunpeng, Houtu, and Fuxi each expounded their views.

Ch. 124Heavenly Dao karma

Feng Xu learned from Nüwa about his origins, the Human Dao, and the karmic forces behind his place in the world. He refused her offer to become a Heavenly Dao Sage, and Nüwa took him to meet someone.

  • Feng Xu practiced the Dao of creation under Nüwa’s guidance and brought a tree, flowers, and a landscape into being.
  • Nüwa revealed that Feng Xu was originally a twenty-first-century surgeon named Li Yuanchu and explained the Human Dao System, his treasures, and the Great Dao’s choice of him.
  • Nüwa told Feng Xu that Iron Pillar and Feng Xu had been created from karmic threads rather than transported from another era.
  • Nüwa offered Feng Xu the chance to become a Heavenly Dao Sage, warning that it would suppress the Human Dao or hasten the world’s annihilation.
  • Feng Xu refused the Sage’s seat, and Nüwa invited him to meet someone.

Ch. 125Spirit Journey Through the Great Void

Nüwa guided Feng Xu through the Great Void Secret Realm, where he witnessed Pangu’s creation of the Primordial World and learned how the world’s history diverged from its original course. Nüwa then helped Feng Xu refine the Baleful Core and the Record of the Great Wilderness into Supreme Treasures, giving him a path to contend for the authorities of destruction and creation.

  • Nüwa brought Feng Xu into the Great Void Secret Realm, where he watched Pangu battle the demon gods, open heaven and earth, and leave the Human Race’s future to him.
  • Feng Xu saw how Luo Hou’s failures and Hongjun’s rise changed the world’s original balance, leaving Nüwa and Fuxi short of their intended roles.
  • Nüwa explained that Pangu’s karmic debt had fallen to the Human Race and that Feng Xu could contend for the authorities of world destruction and creation.
  • Nüwa placed Feng Xu’s Baleful Core and the Record of the Great Wilderness in the Qiankun Cauldron and guided him in driving them with destructive and creative power.
  • Feng Xu and Nüwa refined the artifacts into the Primordial Treasure Nine-Turn Baleful Core and the Merit Supreme Treasure Record of the Great Wilderness, bringing Feng Xu’s total to four Supreme Treasures.
