  • Li Yuanchu directed the remaining tribe members to butcher and preserve the Pig Demons, and the chief awakened at noon.
  • Li Yuanchu examined the chief, found that his wound had healed, and cautiously fed him soup.

Ch. 3Eight-Nine Mystical Art

  • Feng Xu named the tribe leader Lin Sen, declared the settlement the Lin Tribe, and gave names to its adults.
  • Lin Sen asked how the tribe could name people in the future, and Feng Xu offered to teach him characters and provide food when he visited the Wind-Fire Tribe.
  • Feng Xu checked the Merit Mall, found that the names earned him only a few Merit Points, and began cultivating for the night.

Ch. 6Black Snake Through the Forest

  • Feng Xu interrupted the bargaining and suggested they rest before discussing the trade further.

Ch. 8Sacrificing to the Water God

Feng Xu and Feng Xi stayed with a river tribe, taught its chief to cook rice and control fire, and began making a fishing net. When they discovered the tribe was sacrificing four children to a giant Water God, Feng Xu intervened at the last moment, leaving the demon circling their raft in anger.

  • Feng Xu cooked rice and roasted meat for the chief, then taught the tribe how to make and safely use fire.

  • The chief apologized to Feng Xu and let him decide the Golden Carp's fate, while the carp warned that other demons might attack the tribe.
  • Feng Xu required the Golden Carp to swear to the Heavenly Dao that it would stop eating people and protect the tribe, then asked the chief how many people it had eaten.

Ch. 10Rebuilding the Marsh Tribe

Feng Xu punished the Golden Carp for past human sacrifices, traded food for people and seeds, and helped the Marsh Tribe build raised houses and fishing nets. After the Windfire Squad left for another tribe, Feng Xu found and fed an injured wolf cub, who revealed that he was the son of the Heavenly Demon Wolf King.

  • Feng Xu forced the white wolf cub to call itself a dog, fed it, and put a rope around its neck.
  • Feng Xu and Feng Xi found a group of more than twenty tribesmen fighting an Earth Immortal Wolf King and its pack, then used rolling logs and boulders to disrupt the wolves and help the humans drive them back.
  • The second-in-command learned that Feng Sui had recovered and that Feng Xi had become the tribe's wise one, then led the group to a nearby cave.
  • Feng Xu ignored the second-in-command's warning and discovered that the strangely colored mountain contained iron ore; he collected ore and cut trees with Feng Xi.
  • Feng Xu began making charcoal at the camp and considered how to eliminate the Wolf King and its remaining wolves.

Ch. 12Building a Camp
