Feng Xu gained the World-Destroying Millstone and learned he had karmic debts to settle with the Sages. Before leaving the Human Race, he reorganized education and government, then appointed Yun Tian as Human King to govern in his absence.
Feng Xu hosted the Five Saints and accepted Yuanshi Tianzun’s trial to settle his karmic debt, while Qing Xuan became Laozi’s disciple, Xuandu. When Feng Xu sincerely declared the Human Race’s purpose, Heaven and Earth recognized his words as a great vow and bestowed merit upon the entire Human Race.
Feng Xu visited Feng Sui’s roadside tea stall, said he was leaving the Human Race, and reforged Feng Sui’s axe before returning to Mistveil Peak. After discussing calendars and the Primordial World’s passage of time with Fuxi, Feng Xu watched him depart for the Heavenly Court and vowed that the Human Race would one day rule heaven and earth.
Li Yuanchu entered Yuanshi’s Mountain Gate Trial at Kunlun and overcame its tests of obsession, innate nature, understanding of the Dao, and Dao Heart. After spending countless years climbing the trial’s staircase and reaching early Grand Unity Immortal, he passed and arrived at Yuqing Peak’s plaza.
At Kunlun, Li Yuanchu challenged Medicine Master's Western Teachings by arguing that he preached about living beings' suffering without having experienced it himself. After Medicine Master conceded, Li Yuanchu turned to Ksitigarbha and asked what Dao he held in his heart.
Li Yuanchu defended the origins of Shangqing Peak’s cultivators, then accepted Ksitigarbha’s challenge to a sparring match. He defeated Ksitigarbha with a creation-based divine ability and used the experience to show him that understanding suffering required experiencing it.
After Daoist Duobao and Medicine Master fought to a draw, Li Yuanchu organized the itinerant cultivators on Kunlun and built a Scripture Pavilion. Xuandu emerged from seclusion, met Li Yuanchu, and joined him in discussing the Dao before Laojun gave Li Yuanchu several Enlightenment Tea Trees to tend.
Li Yuanchu and Xuandu developed terraced fields on Tea Mountain, planting tea trees and spirit plants before returning to Kunlun. After learning that new independent cultivators were causing trouble on Shangqing Peak, Li Yuanchu enlisted Daoist Duobao to announce rules and place them under his supervision.
Li Yuanchu restored order on Shangqing Peak, cultivated for a hundred thousand years, and helped the Three Pure Ones attain sagehood by directing Human Dao merit to them. As powerful visitors gathered at Kunlun, he told Duobao and the others that he planned to leave Kunlun for good.
Li Yuanchu prepared to leave Kunlun after a long stay, then accepted Jieyin and Zhunti’s invitation to visit the West. He arrived at Mount Sumeru and saw that the West was more fertile than its reputation suggested, though its spiritual energy remained inferior to Kunlun’s.
Li Yuanchu discovered how the West’s Dream Dao eased suffering and then found the God-Slaying Spear beneath the western lands. Working with Jieyin and Zhunti, he cleared Baleful Qi and restored the West’s damaged earth veins, though its vitality would take much longer to return.
After helping Jieyin and Zhunti become Sages, Li Yuanchu refused the Heavenly Dao’s invitation and was sent into a dream of a Human Race assault on the Heavenly Court. The chapter ended as Di Jun destroyed Li Yuanchu’s black hole attack and confronted him.
Li Yuanchu’s forces defeated Di Jun’s demons after breaking the Zhou Tian Star-Dou Great Array, then turned against the Witches at Buzhou Mountain. Houtu escaped captivity and freed the other Ancestral Witches, who formed the Pangu True Body as the Human Kings prepared to contain it.
Li Yuanchu witnessed a possible future in which the Human Race defeated the Witches but Buzhou Mountain’s destruction unleashed deadly Baleful Qi across the world. After the Sages explained the vision, he resolved to return to the Great Wilderness and face whatever suffering awaited the Human Race.
