The Third Lecture

"If I achieve anything in the future, it will all be thanks to this discourse on the Dao. Fellow Daoist, please accept a bow from me!" Fuxi suddenly exclaimed with emotion, rising to his feet and preparing to bow in salute to Dao Xuan.

Likewise, Nuwa stood up alongside him and prepared to pay her respects to Dao Xuan as well.

Truly, their gains from this discourse were far too great. Especially regarding the principles of the Five Elements Simultaneous Birth and the Great Dao's Innate and Acquired aspects—if Dao Xuan had not brought them up, who knew how much longer it would have taken them to comprehend these truths.

It was even possible they might never have realized them at all. Therefore, it was hardly surprising that Fuxi acted this way.

Yet upon seeing this, Dao Xuan did not dare to truly accept the formal bow from the two of them. He hurriedly stopped them, saying, "Why must the two Fellow Daoists stand on ceremony? Discussing the Dao together brought me immense gains as well, so such a gesture is quite unwarranted!"

Only then did Fuxi and Nuwa drop the matter.

"Dao Ancestor Hongjun's third public lecture is about to begin. Shall we head there together?" Fuxi asked once more.

As it turned out, the reason they had only discussed the Dao for ten thousand years was not because they had chosen to stop on their own.

Rather, they had received a telepathic transmission from Dao Ancestor Hongjun stating that the third lecture in Zixiao Palace had already commenced.

Hearing this, Dao Xuan readily consented.

Thus, he, Fuxi, and Nuwa departed from Phoenix Perch Mountain together and headed Beyond the Heavens.
