Communing with Chaos, Great Dao Merit

Earth surged, water rushed, fire burned, and wind howled!

At that critical moment, the twelve Sea-Calming Divine Pearls lit up simultaneously, radiating brilliant five-colored light as they flew toward the world membrane.

Under their effect, the raging Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind were immediately blocked before the world membrane, unable to advance even an inch.

Of course, this merely treated the symptoms rather than the root cause, only relieving the urgent crisis for the moment.

At this time, Dao Xuan had another thought. The next moment, a towering tree appeared within this world, standing at its center.

This towering tree was none other than the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, one of the most supreme Innate Spiritual Roots.

Not only that, but aside from the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, three more great spiritual roots emerged in succession: the Gourd Vine, the Enlightenment Tea Tree, and the Twelfth-Rank World-Cleansing White Lotus.

The Heaven-Piercing Jianmu was Dao Xuan's greatest reliance in opening this world within his body.

As for the other three great spiritual roots, they had simply come to share in the opportunity created by Dao Xuan's opening of heaven and earth.

After all, although the Enlightenment Tea Tree and Gourd Vine would take a portion of the blessings from the world's creation, their help would also make it easier for him to open his Inner World.

as Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind continued to overflow with increasing intensity, the world's destruction and return to chaos would only be a matter of time.

However, with the appearance of the four great spiritual roots, each one displayed its abilities. In an instant, the roiling and boiling Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind throughout the world were calmed.

The Heaven-Piercing Jianmu in particular stood directly at the center of this world, holding up heaven and earth and supporting the entire world.

At this point, even without the twelve Sea-Calming Divine Pearls, heaven and earth could no longer collapse.

This was the might of the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu.

No other spiritual root could compare to it.

The Heaven-Piercing Jianmu held up heaven and earth, while the Twelfth-Rank World-Cleansing White Lotus, Gourd Vine, and Enlightenment Tea Tree served as support, continuously expanding space and time.

The entire heaven and earth grew broader and broader.

At this point, the scale of heaven and earth had nearly reached the limit of a Lesser Thousand World, while the chaos qi within it was gradually being exhausted.

All Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind had been transformed and settled.

Yet the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu still did not stop. At this moment, it seemed as though its life potential had been completely unleashed.

Countless branches and leaves grew at a rapid pace, blotting out the sky and covering the sun as they enveloped the world.

It became a true World Tree.

The reason for this was not that the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu had encountered chaos qi and so easily reverted into a Chaos Spiritual Root.

Rather, it was because Dao Xuan had opened this world within his own body. And what was Dao Xuan's true form?

Dao Xuan's true form was also a spiritual root: the Four Symbols Banana Tree. Though it could not compare to the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu in rank,

it was still, after all, a Supreme-Grade Innate Spiritual Root.

Furthermore, in opening his Inner World this time, Dao Xuan had used the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu to support heaven and earth, causing the entire Inner World's origin to gather upon and empower it.

This was equivalent to fusing the two great spiritual roots into one.

Naturally, this produced the current sight. The Heaven-Piercing Jianmu continued to grow until, in the end, even its canopy extended beyond the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane.

At the other end, the roots of the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu likewise sank into the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane.

The entire Inner World seemed to be embraced by the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu.

Only then did the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu stop growing.

Just then, azure, crimson, yellow, and black light blossomed beside the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, and a figure condensed into being.

It was Dao Xuan.

However, this Dao Xuan was not the same Dao Xuan. To be precise, this was the manifestation of Dao Xuan's Primordial Spirit, rather than his physical body.

Dao Xuan's physical body remained outside, bearing the entire Inner World and existing as one with it.

Naturally, his physical body could not enter this place. Only his Primordial Spirit could appear here.

Yet Dao Xuan's Primordial Spirit had also undergone a complete transformation. Within this world, his Primordial Spirit was the Heavenly Dao here.

With a single thought, he could control every change within the entire world.

And Dao Xuan's Primordial Spirit had not manifested at this moment merely to make an appearance.

Dao Xuan spread his right hand, and dazzling four-colored light immediately bloomed from his palm before blasting straight beyond heaven and earth.

"Chaos void, break for me!"

Accompanied by Dao Xuan's thunderous shout, the Four-Colored Divine Light shattered the void beyond the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane, revealing an enormous hole.

Streams of chaos qi gushed out from that hole.

Moreover, it was abundantly clear that this chaos qi was vastly different from the chaos qi Dao Xuan had previously collected on the three immortal islands.

Compared to that, this was true chaos qi, filled with a violent aura.

The chaos qi slammed fiercely against the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane of the Lesser Thousand World, causing it to tremble violently again and again.

However, compared to when it had first been born, the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane was now countless times tougher.

Though the chaos qi struck it repeatedly, it could never break through. Instead, streams of pure innate spiritual qi began descending from above, passing through the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane and falling into heaven and earth.

This was the Heaven and Earth Fetal Membrane beginning to transform chaos qi into various forms of innate spiritual qi to nourish this world.

Only upon reaching this stage could this world truly be considered complete.

Only with an endless supply of newly born spiritual qi could the entire world continue to grow, and all manner of living beings would gradually be born within it.

At that moment, a thunderous boom rang out. Blinding golden light burst forth in the skies above the Lesser Thousand World, stretching billions of feet.

This golden light was merit!

And it was Great Dao Merit.

One had to know that in the Primordial World, the Great Dao had already withdrawn from the world, while the Heavenly Dao had begun to take control. Logically speaking, only the Heavenly Dao could bestow merit upon the world, and Great Dao Merit should have been impossible.

But who told Dao Xuan to open his own Inner World? Because of the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, a former Chaos Spiritual Root, Dao Xuan had forcibly connected his world directly to the chaos void.

Naturally, Dao Xuan's Inner World had therefore come to the Great Dao's attention. Opening a world naturally allowed the Great Dao to bestow merit.
