Four Symbols Divine Beasts, Hongjun Becomes a Saint

Although the merit was not much, Great Dao Merit was exceedingly precious. With a thought, Dao Xuan directly summoned his Dao-proving treasure, the Four Symbols Treasure Fan.

The Great Dao Merit then descended, and roughly half of it was collected by Dao Xuan into the Four Symbols Treasure Fan.

He intended to use it to improve the Four Symbols Treasure Fan in the future. After all, it was his Dao-proving treasure and could grow stronger along with his cultivation.

Even if nothing else, with so much Great Dao Merit, he could refine the Four Symbols Treasure Fan into a merit spiritual treasure!

Another tenth of the merit scattered throughout the entire Lesser Thousand World, merging into heaven, earth, and all things.

That left four-tenths of the merit.

Dao Xuan had a use for it as well. He pointed at the Great Dao Merit and shouted, "This world is founded upon the Four Symbols. Therefore, the Four Directions Divine Beasts shall manifest and guard this realm for me!"

"Great Dao Merit, go!"

Boom!!

In an instant, the Great Dao Merit split into four and flew toward the four directions of heaven and earth. At the same time, radiant light burst forth from all four directions.

The Four Symbols laws of the Lesser Thousand World manifested, combining with the Great Dao Merit and beginning to evolve into the Four Directions Divine Beasts of this Lesser Thousand World.

This entire process was completely under Dao Xuan's control.

First, in the Eastern Extremity of the Lesser Thousand World, an enormous azure divine dragon stretching for countless miles was born.

This was the Azure Dragon, dwelling in the east and governing the wind of the Four Symbols!

In the southern extremity, boundless Li Fire surged into the sky. Accompanied by a long cry, a colossal Vermilion Bird spread its wings and soared.

The Vermilion Bird was the divine beast of the south, governing the fire of the Four Symbols!

In the western extremity, a White Tiger with wings upon its back appeared. Its entire body radiated murderous intent as it opened its jaws and released a deafening roar.

The divine beast of the west, the White Tiger, governed the earth of the Four Symbols!

Finally, in the Northern Extremity, an enormous Black Tortoise evolved into being. The Black Tortoise did not make a sound. After being born, it simply lay there woodenly.

If Dao Xuan had not been the Heavenly Dao of this world, possessing absolute control over and awareness of these four divine beasts, he might have suspected that the Black Tortoise was dead.

Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise! Each corresponded to one of the Four Symbols! Their birth held extraordinary significance for this world.

It meant that life had finally been born in this world.

Though this birth had been achieved through a shortcut, produced by combining Great Dao Merit with the laws of heaven and earth, life was still life.

With the four divine beasts suppressing the four directions, along with the existence of the Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, the development prospects of Dao Xuan's Lesser Thousand World were highly promising.

After evolving the Four Directions Divine Beasts, Dao Xuan ignored them and turned his gaze toward the twelve Sea-Calming Divine Pearls.

"Sea-Calming Divine Pearls, inject your origins into my world as well!" Dao Xuan said again.

Then he waved his hand.

Immediately, six of the twelve Sea-Calming Divine Pearls seemed to be enveloped by an immense force.

It was the power of the Lesser Thousand World.

As the Heavenly Dao of this world, Dao Xuan could fully wield the power of the entire Lesser Thousand World. This power was no trifling matter.

Even though the Sea-Calming Divine Pearls were Innate Spiritual Treasures, they gradually began to shatter beneath this immense force.

"Rumble!" ×6

Six thunderous explosions rang out in succession as the six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls exploded one after another. Streams of chaotic energy erupted high in the sky.

They further evolved into Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind, creating a scene that resembled the opening of heaven and earth.

The Heaven-Piercing Jianmu, Enlightenment Tea Tree, Gourd Vine, and Twelfth-Rank World-Cleansing White Lotus, along with the other spiritual roots, also began to work.

Even the Four Directions Divine Beasts rushed over to help when they saw this.

The flow of time had not yet stabilized within this Lesser Thousand World, so Dao Xuan did not know how long had passed. At last, everything calmed down.

Six heavens had appeared high in the sky of the Lesser Thousand World.

These six heavens had clearly evolved from the six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls. Each one was a Lesser Thousand World in size.

However, while evolving them, Dao Xuan had directly extracted more than half of their origins and merged them into the Inner World.

This resulted in six additional Lesser Thousand Worlds, yet those six Lesser Thousand Worlds remained enveloped by Dao Xuan's Inner World.

Compared with Dao Xuan's Inner World, these six Lesser Thousand Worlds were much smaller.

After all, they had lost more than half their origins. Furthermore, as one declined, the other flourished. Having absorbed so much of the Sea-Calming Divine Pearls' origins, Dao Xuan's Inner World had become far more magnificent than before.

Clearly, Dao Xuan had evolved the six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls into heavens suspended in the sky by imitating the Thirty-Three Heavens of the Primordial World.

These six great heavens were the Heaven Realm of Dao Xuan's Inner World!

Since the six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls had become the Heaven Realm of the Inner World, there was no need to wonder about the remaining six.

Dao Xuan pointed again, and the power of the world once more enveloped the remaining six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls.

It carried them deep underground.

"Rumble!" ×6

Thunderous booms came from deep within the earth, shaking the entire Inner World. Dao Xuan's gaze penetrated straight into the underground.

He saw layer after layer of space forcibly opened beneath the earth, forming similar heavens.

Or rather, the worlds beneath the earth were more suitably called Hell Realms.

Unlike the Primordial World, legend had it that at its peak, the Primordial World possessed thirty-three Heaven Realms but eighteen Hell Realms.

Yet Dao Xuan's Inner World had only six Heaven Realms and six Hell Realms.

That made only twelve in total!

But Dao Xuan only had twelve Sea-Calming Divine Pearls. He could only evolve this weakened version of the Three Realms.

Moreover, although Dao Xuan had created the Heaven Realms and Hell Realms, they were merely empty shells.

Not only did the Inner World contain no other living beings besides the Four Directions Divine Beasts, but even the Heaven Realms had no sun, moon, or stars in operation.

The Hell Realms also lacked the Six Paths of Reincarnation.

This was because Dao Xuan's understanding of the relevant laws was too shallow, leaving countless gaps in the evolution of this Inner World!

Of course, that was nothing serious.

Now that the world had been opened, Dao Xuan could slowly supplement it in the future.

Still, Dao Xuan pointed a finger and gathered a blazing mass of fire high in the sky, using it to temporarily replace the sun and illuminate this world.

At this point, Dao Xuan had completed the opening of his own Inner World.

He had taken the most crucial first step upon the path of World-Proving Dao, gaining this world as his foundation.

As the world grew and was continuously perfected in the future, Dao Xuan's strength would likewise continue to rise!

Time passed in a flash. In the blink of an eye, another ten yuanhui had gone by. On this day, Dao Xuan was cultivating and comprehending the Dao within his own dojo.

Suddenly, a voice resounded throughout the entire Primordial World.

"I am Hongjun. Today, I have become a saint. In three thousand years, I will expound the Dao at Zixiao Palace. All those with affinity may come!"
