Lance Had Ideas of His Own

Kiley chuckled. "Wasn't I worried you wouldn't be able to see us? Hurry up, keep up!"

He ran to a rock wall and pushed aside the dense vines, revealing a plastic waterproof tarp. "Absolutely safe! It won't collapse even in an Earthquake!"

"Why the hell did you build something like that?" Heiduo was nearly scared to death by Kiley. What did he mean, it wouldn't collapse in an Earthquake? Was this Secret Base made of diamonds?

Kiley looked surprised. "What? I'm serious! Back when I was traveling in Sinnoh, I suddenly ran into an Earthquake. Damn, half the mountain collapsed, but my Secret Base was still completely intact!"

"Really?" Heiduo had Wallace and the other two go inside first.

Kiley patted his chest. "Who do you think I am? The Secret Base Master! My word is my bond!"

Heiduo eyed Kiley's youthful face skeptically. This guy was only a few years older than him, maybe seventeen or eighteen at most?

Youth represented possibility, but it also represented unreliability.

Well, anyone who could build such an impressive base was still fairly dependable.

Heiduo looked at all the decorations inside the base and turned to ask, "How are you taking all this stuff with you? You're not just leaving it here, are you?"

"What do you mean, leaving it? I'm putting it here. I'm a traveler!" Kiley secured the tarp over the entrance. "Someday, I'll come back here. Then I'll have a place to stay."

He was seriously rich.

Heiduo clicked his tongue. The base before him was nearly a hundred square meters, with flooring spread across the ground. Tables, beds, chairs, and stools were all present, along with desk lamps, fruit bowls, and every other thing that should or shouldn't have been there.

"Flygon carried all of this up here, right?"
