History

The Soul Pearl enabled Tan Lin's successive reincarnations before the main story. It could dismantle his body at the end of a lifetime, preserve a strand of true soul, carry forward his memories and spiritual essence, and allow him to retain awareness through the mystery of the womb. These accumulated advantages supported his progression across three lives, including his rise as the Human Emperor. Its abilities required crimson causality points generated by maintained karmic ties. 1

When Tan Lin was ambushed after his Dao-Proving Tribulation, the pearl was already heavily depleted. It dismantled his body, Dao Fruit, essence blood, primordial spirit, and soul so that a wisp of his true soul could feign death and escape. Insufficient energy prevented a safe completion of reincarnation; Tan Lin halted the process rather than risk losing himself in the womb. 2

After an immeasurable period in the void, the pearl transformed. Its accumulated light points condensed into a Deep Crimson Light Point, awakening All-Cause Vision and exposing causal threads connected to Tan Lin's past. It subsequently attached to Li Qingjue's bronze ring, where the new master-disciple bond rapidly replenished its energy. 2 4 7

The pearl became Tan Lin's primary means of restoring himself. It located and controlled scattered true-soul fragments, concealed him from enemies and formations, harvested soul remnants, and supported temporary bodies and primordial-spirit reconstruction. Its restored causal lines reignited when Tan Lin reclaimed the true-soul fragment within the Human Emperor Banner. 14 16 23 42
