History

The Soul Pearl enabled Tan Lin's successive reincarnations before the main story. It could dismantle his body at the end of a lifetime, preserve a strand of true soul, carry forward his memories and spiritual essence, and allow him to retain awareness through the mystery of the womb. These accumulated advantages supported his progression across three lives, including his rise as the Human Emperor. Its abilities required crimson causality points generated by maintained karmic ties. 1

When Tan Lin was ambushed after his Dao-Proving Tribulation, the pearl was already heavily depleted. It dismantled his body, Dao Fruit, essence blood, primordial spirit, and soul so that a wisp of his true soul could feign death and escape. Insufficient energy prevented a safe completion of reincarnation; Tan Lin halted the process rather than risk losing himself in the womb. 2

After an immeasurable period in the void, the pearl transformed. Its accumulated light points condensed into a Deep Crimson Light Point, awakening All-Cause Vision and exposing causal threads connected to Tan Lin's past. It subsequently attached to Li Qingjue's bronze ring, where the new master-disciple bond rapidly replenished its energy. 2 4 7

The pearl became Tan Lin's primary means of restoring himself. It located and controlled scattered true-soul fragments, concealed him from enemies and formations, harvested soul remnants, and supported temporary bodies and primordial-spirit reconstruction. Its restored causal lines reignited when Tan Lin reclaimed the true-soul fragment within the Human Emperor Banner. 14 16 23 42

After Tan Lin sacrificed his remaining former-life foundation and apparent existence, the pearl dissolved his reconstructed divine soul and primordial spirit to prepare a new rebirth. It then created an Innate Divine Fetus born directly from heaven and earth with a first-generation Indestructible Golden Body bloodline. The process required two complete Deep Crimson Light Points and sealed Tan Lin's overwhelming memories, soul resonance, and Dao comprehension until his infant body could endure them. 54 60

As Tan Lin matured in that life, the pearl preserved and gradually released the true intents and Past-Life Wisdom of his prior incarnations. Its expanding causal network accumulated points through his allies, enemies, battles, and influence across the Ancient Road. After ten Deep Crimson Light Points filled, it underwent a second transformation, changing from an ancient pearl into a primordial-violet vortex and substantially strengthening its existing functions. 75 164 279 280

The second transformation revealed that the pearl's foundational dissolution-and-reincarnation power could be applied to others. By expending the Fireflies of ten complete points, it could dissolve a target's present existence while preserving an undying trace of true spirit, Past-Life Wisdom, and Soul Resonance for a future reincarnation. Tan Lin first invoked this power for the dying Chi Yao, refusing to let her individuality vanish completely. 280 332

Following later cataclysms and Tan Lin's own self-destruction, the pearl protected his surviving true-soul remnant. Chi Yao's reincarnating soul eventually encountered it after more than one hundred thousand years of drifting through the cosmos, and the two merged before being carried to Eternal Main Star. 526

In Tan Lin's latest reincarnation, the pearl initially remained beyond his conscious perception, although its Crimson Marks and sealed Past-Life Wisdom protected his vast Sea of Consciousness. When a Restricted-Area Quasi-Emperor attempted to kill the still-young Tan Lin, it automatically activated a prior-life safeguard, using All-Causes Transposition to move his body and soul beyond the killing strike. The Soul Pearl is an enigmatic pearl associated with invisible crimson light, mist, and causality threads. Its transformed state is marked by an illusory dial array on its surface.

• Its barrier bears 365 dial marks, which illuminate as Deep Crimson Light Points develop. 2 38
• Crimson light points serve as its fuel; ordinary points can condense into rarer Deep Crimson Light Points. 1 2
