Geography and Structure
- Fragments — The former Immortal Domain was boundless, but its fragments are now separate ancient universes linked by formations and cross-domain passages 490 491 494.
- Mortal Lower Domains — Smaller worlds outside the recognized Immortal Domains may be unable to produce True Immortals. Some have become increasingly depleted as their resources are gathered into Immortal Domains 501.
- Sea of Realms Dam — The Dam marks the Immortal Realm’s boundary with the Sea of Realms and protects its worlds from the sea’s corrosive forces 542 564.
- Sword Light — A barrier farther across the Sea of Realms blocks the route toward Heaven. Its deterioration later raises fears of an invasion by Dark Lifeforms 542 788.
Life and Cultivation
- Longevity Matter and Immortal Radiance nourish arrivals from the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, renewing their bodies and strengthening their cultivation foundations 490 494.
- Arrival is not the same as True Immortal cultivation. Jiang Yun observes that many inhabitants of the first fragment reached by Dao Origin have not attained immortal power 490.
- Cultivation systems differ. Immortal Domain cultivators generally lack the Sea of Bitterness and Five Secret Realms used by practitioners from the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths 511.
- Fragments vary in resources. The first fragment conquered by Dao Origin is too barren to supply all the essence Jiang Yun needs for further transformation 494 501.
Travel and Governance
- Immortal Road — It leads toward the Immortal Domain, but Jiang Yun warns that its passage can force dangerous changes in the laws of cultivators above the Ultimate Dao 487.
- Myriad Domains Map — Distributed to recognized Immortal Domains by the Immortal Alliance, it opens cross-domain passages when supplied with sufficient Immortal Source. Activating multiple passages consumes mountains of the resource 501 502.
- Immortal Alliance — Its authority extends across the Immortal Realm and Sea of Realms. It controls access to the strategically placed Garrison Immortal Domain before the Dam 523 542.
History
The Immortal Domain once comprised ancient universes joined and expanded by Immortal Kings. It later shattered, leaving fragments whose resources and access to other worlds differ greatly 490 501.
After the Forbidden Zone Supremes’ defeat on the Immortal Road, Jiang Yun opens a path for the Dao Origin faction to ascend together. Their arrival in a peripheral fragment triggers widespread physical and cultivation transformations, as well as hostility from its ruling forces 484 489 490.
Dao Origin conquers that fragment, defeats its Three Ancient Immortal Families, and establishes Dao Origin Immortal City as its center. The faction then expands into other domains, distributing Source Rings that challenge established control over travel, trade, and information 501 559.
