Background / History

Holy Soul Village and Nording Academy

Tang Sanniang first appears in Holy Soul Village carrying Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges and summoning a pink Clear Sky Hammer. When her formal awakening reveals Blue Silver Grass, Old Jack dismisses her prospects as a Soul Master and proposes marrying her to Zhuangzi, an eighteen-year-old, one-eyed blacksmith. She responds bashfully that she will forge iron for her husband for the rest of her life, while holding an enormous hammer 74.

She subsequently enters Nording Academy as a work-study student. Yu Meinian, the female counterpart of Yu Xiaogang, immediately recognizes her hidden martial-soul potential. The instructor corners her and demands a midnight visit for a “full-body skeletal massage,” leaving Tang Sanniang frightened and tearful 75.

Shrek Academy and the Great Soul Arena

At Shrek’s entrance examination, Tang Sanniang pretends to fear Zhao Wuji before piercing his defenses with pink hidden needles. She follows with the Maiden’s Heart Hammer, driving him into a crater with one blow 77.

On the way to Suotuo City’s Great Soul Arena, she receives a confession from a cross-dressed Bu Le. Her apparent embarrassment turns into a lethal ambush: she impales him with poisonous Blue Silver Grass and licks the blood from the weapon. She then leads the Shrek Seven Fairies into a team match, where they defeat the Kuang Zhan Team and force its surrender 80 81.

Yu Tianjiao subsequently demands that Tang Sanniang become her princess and attempts to take her first kiss. Tang Sanniang counters with the Eight Spider Lances, poisons her opponent, and reveals their Pink Armor transformation. She defeats Yu Tianjiao’s Thunder Annihilation with eight mechanical arms and the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer 82 83.

Immortal Herbs and Bi Donghai’s Pursuit

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Tang Sanniang encounters Dai Xiaobai, who claims the Lovesick Heartbreak Red and obtains the Heart-Slaying Sword. Their confrontation is interrupted by Dugu Bo. Tang Sanniang then learns of the Fate-Reversing Soul-Returning Herb, which might undo her condition, and enters poisonous miasma to seek it despite its hundred-thousand-year soul-beast guardian 86.

Bi Donghai intercepts her in Sunset Forest, accusing her of murdering his people. Tang Sanniang recognizes the accusation as a frame-up. His actual objective is to exploit her Sea God inheritance as a cultivation vessel for his Rakshasa godhood. Her vines, hidden weapons, and escape attempt fail; she begins Ring Detonation before Qian Daoliu intervenes and secures her release 87.

Qian Daoliu takes her to Spirit City to seek allies against Bi Donghai, warning her not to trust anyone—including himself. Outside Pope Hall, she binds Bi Donghai and smashes him through the square into magma. He survives, restrains her soul through a spatial rift, and threatens Qian Daoliu’s granddaughter to prevent another rescue. Tang Sanniang loses consciousness when he invades her sea of consciousness with Rakshasa divine power 88 89.

Appearance

  • Build and expression: Petite and delicate, with large, dewy eyes and a frequently shy or harmless-looking expression 75 77.
  • Hair: Introduced with pink hair, worn in two long ponytails at Nording Academy; the entrance-exam passage instead describes long black hair 74 75 77.
  • Clothing: Wears pink dresses, including a puffball dress during the Yu Tianjiao confrontation and a pink-and-white Lolita skirt at Pope Hall 82 89.
  • Combat appearance: Her external soul bone becomes pink armor marked with purple venom channels; fitted dragonscale armor is separately visible beneath her clothing at Pope Hall 83 89.

Personality

Tang Sanniang repeatedly uses apparent vulnerability to conceal aggression. Against Zhao Wuji, tearful claims of fear give way immediately to precise hidden-weapon attacks. With Bu Le, blushing and coy speech lure him into expecting acceptance before she kills him. Her satisfied reaction afterward makes the contrast between sweetness and cruelty especially pronounced 77 80 81.

She is confident after victory but does not dismiss dangerous opponents: she tells Yu Tianjiao she will not underestimate her and welcomes the trouble her exposed abilities may attract. When overwhelmed by Bi Donghai, that confidence gives way to fear without eliminating her defiance; she attempts escape, threatens mutual destruction, and continues resisting even after Qian Daoliu abandons her 84 87 89.

Abilities & Skills

Blue Silver Grass / Blue Silver Emperor

  • Poisoned weapon: A stalk of Blue Silver Grass serves as the lethal piercing weapon used against Bu Le 80 81.
  • Venom suppression: Its venom dissolves Yu Tianjiao’s thunder dragons and helps weaken her lightning armor 83.
  • Restraint: Blue Silver Emperor vines bind Bi Donghai’s feet and root into the earth, holding him beneath a hammer strike 89.
  • Limit: Bi Donghai crushes or severs the vines during their Sunset Forest encounter 87.

Pink Clear Sky Hammer

  • Variable size: Appears as a small hammer or an enormous ten-thousand-jin weapon 74.
  • Maiden’s Heart Hammer: A bow-decorated, heart-patterned hammer attack used after hidden needles break Zhao Wuji’s defenses 77.
  • Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer: Combined with the Pink Armor’s mechanical arms to rupture Yu Tianjiao’s thunder sphere 83.
  • Clear Sky True Body: Enlarges the hammer head to ten meters across; its strike breaks Bi Donghai’s Rakshasa shield and collapses the Pope Hall square 89.
  • Ring Detonation: Begins detonating her hammer’s soul rings in a last attempt at mutual destruction. Qian Daoliu stops the detonation before completion 87.

Eight Spider Lances

  • External soul bone: Eight pink spears emerge from her back, bearing corrosive purple venom 82.
  • Pink Armor: The lances transform into armor that increases offense and defense; Yu Tianjiao’s claw strike produces sparks without piercing it 83.
  • Mechanical-arm form: The armor sprouts eight bladed arms that carry venom and participate in her finishing attack 83.
  • Reversible transformation: After the duel, the armor returns to lance form and withdraws into her body 83.

Hidden Weapons

  • Modified Pear Blossom Storm: Pink Maiden’s Embroidery Needles: Precisely pierces Zhao Wuji’s Gravity Enhancement barrier and Immovable Bright King Body protection 77.
  • Concealed poisoned needle: Fires a needle from her mouth, cutting Yu Tianjiao’s cheek during close combat 82.
  • Pear Blossom Storm: Uses poisoned steel needles to create an escape opportunity against Bi Donghai, though he deflects them with his scythe 87.

Divine Inheritance and Domain

  • Sea God’s Legacy: Carries a recognizable inheritance aura but has not completed the legacy or become a god 87.
  • Sea God’s Light: Turns her into a blue-and-gold streak during an escape attempt; Bi Donghai recaptures her through space 87.
  • Divine Slaughter’s Domain: Its blood-red ripples intertwine with faint Sea God radiance around her hammer at Pope Hall 89.
