Inside a tree-shaded cottage in southern Dorset, Britain, Tina Scamander, wife of the renowned magizoologist Newt Scamander, sat in the living room busily knitting a sweater.

Tina, who came from America, led a rather leisurely life after retirement. As the wife of the famous magizoologist Newt, Tina herself had once made tremendous contributions in the war against Grindelwald and the Wizard Purist Party. Though she was now merely a harmless-looking little old lady curled up on the sofa, anyone who dared underestimate her would absolutely learn what it meant to face the American Ministry of Magic's former ace Auror enforcer.

Thud, thud, thud— A series of noisy crashes came from the cottage's backyard, sounding like Erumpents fighting. The racket was so loud that Tina's stitching began to warp, and she made several mistakes in a row.

"Ugh..."

This kind of noisy environment was normal in the Scamander household. The past two days happened to be the Erumpent's mating season. To keep the randy Erumpent from assaulting an Yseron Newt had recently brought home, Newt had been wrestling her in the backyard all morning every day. Tina had no idea how a hundred-year-old man managed to wrestle an Erumpent as large as a rhinoceros, nor was he afraid of being gored to death.

Of course, Tina did not dislike the many magical creatures Newt kept, even if plenty of them were illegal. Otherwise, she would not have chosen to marry someone as socially anxious as Newt. What truly troubled Tina was that neither of them was young anymore. Newt was nearly a hundred years old, after all. If the Erumpent truly lost control and insisted on giving him a back massage with her feet, his old arms and legs probably would not even leave Tina a chance to save him.
