Roy, carrying that copy of the Ancient Magic Self-Defense Guide, paced back and forth several times in the corridor opposite the special tapestry on the Seventh Floor of the castle. Finally, after making his third round through the corridor, he quietly noticed a concealed door appearing on the wall opposite the tapestry.
"Finally! Great. Let's see what treasures this old upperclassman left behind for me."
Pushing open the hidden door, Roy found himself facing a spacious room filled with all kinds of workbenches.
By Roy's estimation, this hidden chamber had not seen a visitor in a hundred years. Rows of potion-making stations and planter boxes were covered in thick dust. After looking around, Roy found that the cauldrons, thoroughly ravaged by time, were completely unusable now.
Some cauldrons still had unidentified powder left at the bottom, likely the residue left after the Potions inside had dried out. The grandeur of time left Roy momentarily dazed as he looked at these old objects. Thinking that Dumbledore had lived in that era, Roy, who had always been considered the next Dumbledore, found it hard to imagine what he would look like when he reached Dumbledore's age.
"What a shame. I was hoping to swipe some Potions from my old upperclassman."
The cauldrons were empty, so Roy shifted his attention to the planter boxes and automatic looms beside them. Unlike the cauldrons, these devices were still usable despite the passage of time.
However, no matter how resilient a plant's vitality was, it could not possibly linger in a planter box for a hundred years. Only weathered ash remained in those boxes now. Roy rummaged through them but did not find even a single seed, so he had no choice but to give up.
"All right, only the desk remains."
