History

After the escape from Egghead, Atlas works with Vegapunk and Lilith aboard the Ashen to stabilize Bartholomew Kuma and examine his mechanical body and consciousness. Their findings show that Kuma’s suppressed emotions are beginning to return, raising the possibility of restoring his humanity 302.

Later, at a workshop on Momoiro Island, Rain orders Vegapunk, Shaka, and Atlas to rebuild the captured Gun-Bear Construct as the Ashen’s main offensive weapon. The finished construct is named Obsidian Iron Bear and assigned to the ship’s main gun platform 318.
