Evan joined McRae’s agency and worked with Hill and David while his potion experiments drew the attention of the Authorities and the Black Sun. After defeating Jack Alcott and surrendering him to Vic, Evan uncovered the Silver Key’s connection to an ancient Ascension and realized that Byron’s potions were weakening his self-awareness and the Copper Pill was erasing Lane’s memories.

• Penco Elton told Rhys Sapp that Connor had investigated Evan, and Sapp ordered Connor’s body found while promising Connor’s factory to Elton’s son.
• Freem taught Evan potion brewing, then Gray recruited him to hunt a toxic Potion Monster in a factory sewer, where Evan gained new abilities by surviving and consuming supernatural creatures.
• Evan joined McRae’s detective agency, reunited with Hill, and helped her kill a Boundary Ghoul before David tested an Iron Mouth Potion on him.
• Richard and Erlong warned Evan about the Healing Church’s experiments and the Red Gloves, while Evan arranged for David to make a Crucible from his Copper Patina and volunteered to test potions.
• Jack Alcott attacked Evan, but Evan resisted his control and escaped capture, and Vic then recruited Evan as bait and promised potions and protection if he helped capture Alcott alive.

Evan investigated the spreading plague, confronted Pierson, and gained progress in the Mist Brain Plague while uncovering the Red King Laboratory’s experiments. After Wilens Sapp died in a failed ritual, Evan continued the investigation and learned that the plague patients had eaten food from the Puke Canning Factory.

• Evan reported Byron’s potion side effects to Vic, received authority to assist police investigations, and began brewing potions while investigating the spreading virus.
• Evan’s Purification Potion broke a hypnosis that sent him to Ancestor Mason’s farm, where he killed a servant and gained Spirit Vision after waking.
• Evan and Morales joined the Medical School’s sample collection in Poke Street, where Evan absorbed viruses and discovered a Mutated Y Virus Parasite.
• Evan identified Pierson’s connection to the Red King Laboratory, defeated him, and bargained for access to more parasites in exchange for helping him kill his abusive teacher.
• Evan’s encounter with the Primordial Sage nearly overwhelmed him, but his great-grandmother sent him to Ancestor Mason’s farm, where a Familiar warned him away from powerful Gods.
• Wilens Sapp’s ritual to make Evan his debtor was disrupted by the Primordial Sage, and Wilens died as Evan secretly consumed the remaining Root Tendrils and took his wallet.
• Evan told Vic that Ghouls were spreading laboratory-made viruses, then unlocked the first stage of Mist Brain Plague after Byron’s visit.
• Evan collected the White Bone Disc from Morales and learned that plague patients had eaten canned food from the Puke Canning Factory, while Hill identified the disc as an amulet that detected Ghouls.

Evan strengthened his Plagues and wings while uncovering the Ghouls’ scheme and rescuing Richard from their lair. After the raid exposed Klaus as a continuing threat, Evan went to Doctor Armitage to begin advancing under his protection.

• Evan killed Mairon, secured the complete Y Virus Parasite, and activated the Mist Brain Plague’s second stage.
• Evan rescued Hill from Martin and Chariot, then learned that Richard had been captured for his blood and joined a search for him.
• Evan and his allies raided the Puke Canning Factory, found Richard in the Ghouls’ lair, and fought Martin and the Giant Ghoul Chariot.
• Evan killed Martin and Chariot, rescued Richard, and escaped the unstable pocket space before Klaus’s curse dragged him back into the Ritual Ground.
• Evan survived Klaus’s attack and escaped with Vic’s help, then learned that Klaus had sacrificed his family and was tied to the unresolved Ghoul threat.
• Evan let the Mist Brain Plague devour the Ghost King’s Blessing, gained its final mist-manipulation effect, and agreed to Professor Byron’s potion-testing and advancement plans.

Evan escorted a Deep One hybrid baby, pursued new potion abilities, and entered Dusk Rose Sanatorium to rescue Hill. He returned to find the Bone Saint Child nearing completion and accepted the task of leading his faction against the ghouls.

• Armitage guided Evan through the Dreamlands, explained the limits of Beyonder professions, and arranged for him to escort Jodie James and her hybrid baby to the Healing Church.
• Evan defeated several abductors on the train, rescued the baby from Lili and the Deep Ones, and handed the captives to the Special Operations Team.
• After finding his Copper Crucible stolen, Evan recovered it from the Ressa Company and began brewing potions whose reversed effects strengthened his abilities.
• Evan learned that a Witch had taken Hill, investigated the clues, and entered Dusk Rose Sanatorium through a Ritual after Armitage gave him a fragment of the Necronomicon.
• Evan helped Hill win her Potion Duel against Princess Sapp, and Hill made him her Anchor as she chose to remain in the Dreamlands and establish a Tavern.
• Evan and Hill built the Tavern together while Evan gained new abilities, and Hill warned him of a large-scale life-and-death ritual in the real world before sending him back.
• Armitage told Evan that Vic had offered the faction official contractor status, and Evan accepted responsibility for leading it after learning the Bone Saint Child was nearing its final stage.
