Su Bai established the Heavenly Dao Sect around a humble mountain inheritance and began recruiting disciples based on character and potential rather than status. Xiao Lingxi was among his earliest recruits, joining after witnessing the sect’s superior Immortal Arts and recognizing that Su Bai was no fraud 6.

His cultivation is fundamentally tied to his disciples’ progress: he receives ten times their cultivation feedback, making recruitment, instruction, and sect development central to his path 10. He acts as a protective but nonrestrictive master.
