Background / History

Su Bai created the Human Realm by merging the New Immortal Realm with all nine continents of the Ninefold Firmament. The fusion placed the continents upon one shared plane without harming their inhabitants and ended the old separation of resources, spiritual energy, and status between the nine layers. He then publicly declared the unified world’s new name. 1045

The realm was founded as an explicit rejection of the Eternal Immortal Realm’s hierarchy. It recognizes no distinction of birth, origin, nobility, or cultivation status; only good and evil are meant to determine whether one is protected or punished. 1046

As the Heavenly Dao Sect’s disciples became known through the Heaven’s Pride Tournament, the Human Realm emerged from obscurity into a political rival of the Celestial Court. Its victories, the appearance of its Sacred Emperors, and the mystery surrounding its sect master compelled major powers to seek its protection or allegiance. 1203 1208

When the Emperor Path struggle began, the Human Realm rejected representation by the Eternal Immortal Realm and declared itself an independent Eternal Realm. This severed its formal connection to the Celestial Court’s authority and established it as the sixth side in the conflict. 1273
