Background / History
Su Bai created the Human Realm by merging the New Immortal Realm with all nine continents of the Ninefold Firmament. The fusion placed the continents upon one shared plane without harming their inhabitants and ended the old separation of resources, spiritual energy, and status between the nine layers. He then publicly declared the unified world’s new name. 1045
The realm was founded as an explicit rejection of the Eternal Immortal Realm’s hierarchy. It recognizes no distinction of birth, origin, nobility, or cultivation status; only good and evil are meant to determine whether one is protected or punished. 1046
As the Heavenly Dao Sect’s disciples became known through the Heaven’s Pride Tournament, the Human Realm emerged from obscurity into a political rival of the Celestial Court. Its victories, the appearance of its Sacred Emperors, and the mystery surrounding its sect master compelled major powers to seek its protection or allegiance. 1203 1208
When the Emperor Path struggle began, the Human Realm rejected representation by the Eternal Immortal Realm and declared itself an independent Eternal Realm. This severed its formal connection to the Celestial Court’s authority and established it as the sixth side in the conflict. 1273
Territory and Environment
- The Human Realm combines the former Ninefold Firmament’s nine continents with the New Immortal Realm on a single shared plane. 1045
- Its central continent is described as larger than any Immortal Domain or known superpower ancestral ground. 1204
- Dense immortal spiritual energy permeates the realm, while an enormous Eternal Immortal Tree stands at its center. 1204
- The Eternal Immortal Tree was created through the fusion of the Chaos Immortal Tree and an Eternal Immortal Tree sapling; its Chaos Qi evolved into Primordial Immortal Spirit Qi. 1045
- Cultivators beneath the tree experience enhanced comprehension, enlightenment, and cultivation breakthroughs. 1045
- Victories in the Emperor Path Strife continually strengthen the realm’s Origin, laws, Fortune, landscapes, Spirit Veins, and cultivation environment. 1312 1325
Society and Laws
The Human Realm’s society is built around equality between mortals and cultivators. Its cities openly integrate both groups, and cultivators are not permitted to treat weaker people as inherently inferior. 1204
- Every child is taught three principles:
- All people are equal.
- Every life deserves respect.
- No one should believe themselves superior to others. 1204
- Mortals, rogue cultivators, minor lineages, fallen sects, and powerful factions may become citizens or members of the Human Realm. 1209
- Abuse, enslavement, and arbitrary killing of the weak by the strong are forbidden. 1209
- Good citizens enjoy freedom and equality; criminals are punished according to the severity of their offenses, including confinement, forced mining, other penalties, or execution in grave cases. 1046
- Azure Mountain Saint Emperor established a Hundred-Tier Heavenly Ladder; anyone who reaches its sixtieth tier may enter the Human Realm. 1209
Organization and Defenses
Heavenly Dao Sect
The Heavenly Dao Sect is the Human Realm’s central force. Its disciples form the core of the realm’s cultivation, military strength, and public identity. 1203 1280
Sacred Emperor Sequences
The Human Realm publicly maintains a hierarchy of Sacred Emperors known as Sequences. Azure Mountain Saint Emperor is the Fourteenth Sequence, River-Calming Saint Emperor the Thirteenth, Divine Spear Saint Emperor the Twelfth, and Heavenly Fortune Saint Emperor the Eleventh. 1356
The apparent sequence hierarchy is a strategic deception: the Azure Mountain, River-Calming, Divine Spear, and Heavenly Fortune Saint Emperors are all clones of Su Bai, whose restrained power makes the Human Realm appear to possess a vast depth of hidden supreme experts. 1356
Heavenly Dao Battle Formations
Human Realm armies employ highly coordinated Heavenly Dao Battle Formations. Their units support one another defensively, disrupt larger enemy formations before they can stabilize, and can be directed across a battlefield through divine-sense command. 1288
- The formations allowed a one-trillion-strong Human Realm force to fight vastly larger armies in the First Heaven. 1280 1288
- Human Realm soldiers are trained to fight as an integrated whole rather than as isolated cultivators. 1288
- The realm’s Immortal Kings later infiltrated the Immortal Realm’s First Legion through disguise and replacement tactics, remaining hidden for decades before attacking from within. 1343
Military Strength
| Conflict / Battlefield | Documented Human Realm force | Result |
|---|---|---|
| First-Heaven Battlefield | Just over 1 trillion Celestial Immortals, including more than 500 billion Heavenly Dao Sect disciples and nearly 500 billion allied elites 1280 | Won the First Heaven; 600 billion survivors returned, while Su Bai later resurrected the 400 billion fallen disciples. 1311 1312 |
| Second-Heaven Battlefield | 620 billion disciples 1324 | Destroyed the 110-trillion-strong Five-Realm Coalition while suffering fewer than 100 million casualties. 1324 |
| Third-Heaven Battlefield | Slightly more than 1,000 Immortal King disciples; over 10,000 Immortal Kings when elders and allied forces are included 1331 | Infiltrated the Immortal Realm’s First Legion and crushed more than 50,000 Immortal Kings from within. 1343 |
| Epoch Battlefield | Slightly more than 100 Epoch Kings against the Demon World’s more than 30,000 Epoch Kings 1363 1385 | Its young disciples defeated five Peak Epoch Kings from the Demon World in five consecutive duels. 1365 |
