Power Progression

Background / History

Su Bai created the Human Realm by merging the New Immortal Realm with all nine continents of the Ninefold Firmament. The fusion placed the continents upon one shared plane without harming their inhabitants and ended the old separation of resources, spiritual energy, and status between the nine layers. He then publicly declared the unified world’s new name. 1045

The realm was founded as an explicit rejection of the Eternal Immortal Realm’s hierarchy. It recognizes no distinction of birth, origin, nobility, or cultivation status; only good and evil are meant to determine whether one is protected or punished. 1046

Its creation prompted contrasting reactions from neighboring powers. The Heavenly Dipper Lord placed the Qiankun Heavenly Domain’s borders with the former Ninefold Firmament under martial lockdown, while the Violet Heaven Lord prepared gifts and sought to investigate the opportunity represented by the new world. Meanwhile, thirteen unfamiliar prodigies occupied the Heavenly Dao Ranking’s top thirteen positions, displacing Di Cang to fourteenth. 1046

The Human Realm first appeared before the Eternal Immortal Realm’s assembled experts through Azure Mountain Saint Emperor’s intervention at the Heaven’s Pride Battlefield. River-Calming Saint Emperor subsequently defeated the Seventh Divine General with one move, forcing the Celestial Court to retreat. Su Bai’s deliberately fabricated image of numerous hidden supreme experts bought the realm time to develop its actual foundations. 1115 1117 1119

As the Heavenly Dao Sect’s disciples became known through the Heaven’s Pride Tournament, the Human Realm emerged from obscurity into a political rival of the Celestial Court. Its victories, the appearance of its Sacred Emperors, and the mystery surrounding its sect master compelled major powers to seek its protection or allegiance. 1203 1208

Mystic Ice Fairy’s visit revealed that the Human Realm possessed an Eternal Immortal Tree, the foundation of an Eternal Greater Realm rather than merely a secluded faction. After seeing Su Bai create an enormous city with a gesture, she concluded that he was an Emperor; news that an Emperor guarded the Human Realm spread throughout the Eternal Immortal Realm. 1204

When the Emperor Path struggle began, the Human Realm rejected representation by the Eternal Immortal Realm and declared itself an independent Eternal Realm. This severed its formal connection to the Celestial Court’s authority and established it as the sixth side in the conflict. 1273

The declaration also defeated the Celestial Court’s attempt to avoid the war while using the four other Greater Realms against the Human Realm. Under Heavenly Dao’s rules, the Eternal Immortal Realm now had to field its own forces or face the loss of Fortune and resources. Allied sects could thereafter fight openly as rivals of the Eternal Immortal Realm rather than as subordinate factions constrained by the Celestial Court. 1269 1273

Successive victories transferred Fortune and Origin into the Human Realm, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of environmental improvement and cultivation breakthroughs. After its Immortal King Battlefield victory, it surpassed the other five realms and became the foremost cultivation destination in the eyes of countless experts, while the defeated realms entered a Dharma-Ending Era. 1325 1326 1345 1349

Territory and Environment

• The Human Realm combines the former Ninefold Firmament’s nine continents with the New Immortal Realm on a single shared plane. 1045

Society and Laws

The Human Realm’s society is built around equality between mortals and cultivators. Its cities openly integrate both groups, and cultivators are not permitted to treat weaker people as inherently inferior. 1204

Organization and Defenses

Heavenly Dao Sect

The Heavenly Dao Sect is the Human Realm’s central force. Its disciples form the core of the realm’s cultivation, military strength, and public identity. 1203 1280

Su Bai appointed He Ping’an to command the First-Heaven campaign and entrusted him with the Human Realm command token. Before deployment, Su Bai secretly placed a protective measure on every participating sect disciple so that those killed could be revived within the Human Realm. 1279

The sect’s military preparation includes deliberately delaying breakthroughs to preserve eligibility for particular battlefields. Some Golden Immortal disciples suppressed their advancement for a thousand years because they expected to form the principal force in the Second Heaven. 1314

Sacred Emperor Sequences

The Human Realm publicly maintains a hierarchy of Sacred Emperors known as Sequences. Azure Mountain Saint Emperor is the Fourteenth Sequence, River-Calming Saint Emperor the Thirteenth, Divine Spear Saint Emperor the Twelfth, and Heavenly Fortune Saint Emperor the Eleventh. 1356

The apparent sequence hierarchy is a strategic deception: the Azure Mountain, River-Calming, Divine Spear, and Heavenly Fortune Saint Emperors are manifestations of Su Bai, whose restrained power makes the Human Realm appear to possess a vast depth of hidden supreme experts. Azure Mountain Saint Emperor is specifically his Second True Self, while River-Calming Saint Emperor is a clone. 1119 1356

Su Bai conceived the Fourteen Sacred Emperors as a counterpart to the Celestial Court’s Eight Great Divine Generals. His Second True Self could adopt different appearances, enabling the Way of Deception to create the impression of an established hierarchy while the realm’s genuine experts cultivated. 1111 1119

Heavenly Fortune Saint Emperor’s attack on the Ninth-Epoch Second Divine General strengthened this deterrent. Because the Eleventh Sequence could nearly destroy a Ninth-Epoch expert with one arrow, outsiders inferred the existence of at least ten stronger supreme figures; this inference reflected the deception rather than ten independently verified Ninth-Epoch cultivators. 1356

Heavenly Dao Battle Formations

Human Realm armies employ highly coordinated Heavenly Dao Battle Formations. Their units support one another defensively, disrupt larger enemy formations before they can stabilize, and can be directed across a battlefield through divine-sense command. 1288

Eternal Immortal Tree and Wan Ying

The Eternal Immortal Tree is the realm’s eternal foundation, and its spirit, Wan Ying, grows stronger as the Human Realm’s Origin increases. Her progression is exceptional: she does not encounter ordinary cultivation bottlenecks, and Su Bai stated that he could not create a second being with her circumstances. 1349

Wan Ying entered the Taboo ranks after the First-Heaven reward and naturally reached the Eighth Epoch through the realm’s later Origin growth. Su Bai estimated that a further doubling of the realm’s Origin might allow her to reach the Ninth Epoch; this was a projection, not an attained advancement. 1312 1349

Military Strength

At the opening of the Epoch Battlefield, the entire deployed contingent numbered fewer than two hundred Epoch Kings, including more than a hundred Heavenly Dao Sect Epoch disciples, Yun Xuan, Su Bai’s personal disciples, Jiuyue, veteran elders, and allied ancestors. This remained numerically small compared with the thousands or tens of thousands available to the other realms. 1352

The realm’s rapid growth also expanded its forces outside the immediate battlefield:

Despite this growth, Su Bai continued to regard the Human Realm’s foundations as comparatively young. The hidden reserves accumulated by the Five Eternal Realms across many Emperor Path Strifes remained uncertain, preventing him from treating earlier victories as proof of final success. 1350

Their restored vitality, improved foundations, and overwhelming victories suggested to outsiders that the Human Realm could defy heaven and change fate. The actual explanation emphasized the realm’s expanding Origin, Su Bai’s personal guidance, and the ancestors’ determination to avenge centuries of Celestial Court oppression rather than a separate fate-altering power. 1361
