Background / History

After leaving the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with Dugu Bo, Tang San was separated from his protector when Jin Shan challenged Dugu Bo and drew him away. Tang San continued through Sunset Forest alone, unaware that Huo Lei and Lin Yin had prepared an ambush for him. 11 12

Lin Yin restrained Tang San with his dragon tail and sixth Soul Skill, leaving most of the Eight Spider Lances immobilized. A masked Huo Lei then robbed him of the Wishful Treasure Pouch from his Twenty-Four Bridges Bright Moonlit Night storage belt. Huo Lei declined to take the External Soul Bone, judging the risk of retaliation from Dugu Bo or Tang Hao too great. 13

After recovering with Dugu Bo, Tang San returned to Shrek Academy. He helped secure Dugu Bo as a part-time academy advisor, reunited with Yu Xiaogang and the Shrek Seven Monsters, and reported that his Soul Power had reached Rank 37. 18 19

The theft of his immortal herbs left Tang San concerned that his teammates would not be strong enough for the upcoming tournament.
