Destroying a Planet

A thunderous boom rang out.

Another massive meteorite was destroyed by the aftermath of the two men's clash.

This had happened many times already. Those meteorites were too small; even the largest was only a thousand kilometers in diameter, unable to withstand even the residual shockwaves of their battle.

Yet the two seemed far from satisfied. As they fought, they gradually flew toward the nearest Planet.

This Planet was roughly a hundred thousand kilometers in diameter. Because it was too far from its Fixed Star, sunlight rarely reached it. Its environment was dim, and its surface was covered entirely in frost.

And today, this tranquil, peaceful Planet met with a catastrophic disaster.

Thanos blocked Odin's attack, but the immense force shoved him into the Planet's atmosphere.

The atmospheric pressure on this Planet was at least twenty times that of an ordinary Planet, while its gravity was thirty times stronger.

Although it barely affected him, fighting here was still different from fighting in a Vacuum.

Before he could fly back into space, however, Odin's Gungnir emitted a brilliant light, and an energy blast came hurtling toward him.

Odin had clearly noticed that the Planet was affecting him, so he had no intention of letting him escape.

However, while gravity and atmospheric pressure restrained him within the atmosphere, there were also many places where he could borrow force.

He pushed forward with his free hand.

A powerful gust erupted from his palm, propelling him backward and barely allowing him to evade Odin's attack.

The next moment.

Odin's attack blasted a crater dozens of kilometers wide into the Planet's surface.

Odin wanted to continue attacking, but Thanos took the opportunity to rush out of the atmosphere and swung his blade.

Odin abruptly turned right in an uncanny maneuver, skillfully evading the attack.

Thus, the destructive energy on Thanos's blade passed by Odin and fell toward the Planet below.

The next moment, a sword scar twenty kilometers long but of unknown depth was carved into the Planet.

However, he followed up with a backhand slash from Tyrant's Blade, cutting toward Odin once more.

This time, Odin could not dodge and could only raise his spear to block.

With a deafening bang!

Odin was sent crashing into the Planet's atmosphere by the tremendous force.

Thanos smiled faintly at the sight and immediately pursued him.

Over the following stretch of time, the two battled within the atmosphere.

But Thanos had trained in the Gravity Room all along, so he was highly accustomed to the Planet's thirtyfold gravity.

Odin, on the other hand, felt somewhat restricted and could only barely block Thanos's attacks.

After a while, as the two fought, scars were torn through the Planet's atmospheric layer, causing gas to begin escaping.

In just half an hour, the atmosphere dropped from twenty atmospheres of pressure to a standard one atmosphere.

The Planet's surface was also shattered beyond recognition, as though it might break apart at any moment.

One of the blade scars in particular had nearly severed the entire Planet.

However, the Planet's core had already cooled, so no magma flowed out.

Then, a clear ding! rang out.

Odin blocked Thanos's attack with a thrust of his spear.

"Pant... pant..."

After taking several breaths, Odin saw Thanos attacking again. Divine power surged rapidly through his body, and another energy blast shot forth.

Thanos smiled faintly at the sight.

He had finally discovered his opponent's weakness.

Perhaps Odin had gone too long without fighting, making his reactions somewhat slower. And because of the gravity, his movements were a beat slower as well.

To make up for that gap, Odin could only expend more energy.

Once Odin ran out of energy, his death would come.

After swiftly dodging Odin's attack, Thanos raised Tyrant's Blade and slashed down.

But this attack was once again blocked by Odin's Gungnir.

Just as he was preparing to continue attacking, Thanos suddenly sensed that something was wrong behind him.

He flew backward. After confirming that Odin had not attacked, he glanced behind him from the corner of his eye.

He discovered that Odin's earlier energy blast had cleverly struck the crack Thanos had carved, hitting the Planet's core.

And now, the Planet's core was undergoing a violent explosion.

Thunderous rumbles echoed without pause, but the sound quickly weakened and then vanished.

It was not because the explosion had ended, but because the atmosphere had disappeared.

Without atmospheric pressure, sound lost its medium of transmission and naturally could no longer be heard.

A while later, the Planet completely split apart, turning into chunks of debris that flew in every direction.

Seeing this, Thanos immediately understood. Odin had discovered his weakness, so he had directly destroyed the Planet.

But even without the Planet restraining him, could Odin really stop him?

Soon, he landed on a massive rock and used it as a foothold to charge at Odin.

This was bound to be a prolonged battle. Every bit of strength saved would become a bargaining chip for future victory.

With the deaths of the Warriors Three, Thor losing his ability to fight, and Odin being tied down, the war here had become completely one-sided.

The Black Order's combat power was simply beyond what ordinary Asgard warriors could resist.

Every attack they made brought heavy enemy casualties.

Sanctuary II was no less formidable.

A massive energy blast shot from Sanctuary II and struck an enemy large warship several seconds later.

The next moment, that warship exploded.

After completing the attack, Sanctuary II began storing energy, preparing for its next strike.

On Asgard's side, aside from the medium and large warships that still had energy, the small warships were little more than moving coffins.

But the attacks from those medium and large warships could not penetrate the Escort Ships' shields at all.

As the war continued, the number of casualties on Asgard's side kept rising, while the encirclement formed by Thanos's forces grew tighter and tighter.

Sif carried Thor to a medical bed. Beside it lay Mjolnir, nearly split in two.

Thor's face was pale, almost completely devoid of color, and he remained unconscious.

The sight made Sif's heart ache.

After a while, beams of light swept across him, and sets of data quickly appeared.

The moment she saw the data, she panicked, not knowing what to do.

The data showed that Thor's condition was extremely bad.

Twenty-five bones in his body were broken, over fifty percent of his muscles were bruised, and thirty percent of his skin was damaged.

More importantly, a destructive energy within his body was continuously eroding Thor's body.

If Thor could not immediately remove that destructive energy, he might stop breathing at any moment.

But she was powerless against this destructive energy.

Her divine power was too weak and not pure enough.

The only ones who could save Thor were Odin Wong, Heimdall, and the Queen of the Gods.
